The comforts of a small beachside town await you at the Avila/Pismo Beach KOA.The temperate weather means campers can enjoy the nearby trails and pet-friendly bike path year-round. Also on-site are all the amenities of home, including a laundry facility, showers, swimming pool, hot tub, game room and a kids' play area. Everyone enjoys the petting zoo, hayrides and a destination farm just across the street from the campground. Nearby, you can visit vineyards and a farmers' market, along with the quaint communities of Avila Beach, Pismo Beach and San Luis Obispo. Morro Bay, Cambria and Hearst Castle are a day trip away. **THIS IS A NON SMOKING RV PARK** NO WOOD OR WOOD PRODUCTS CAN BE BURNED, ONLY PROPANE**This KOA is small with NARROW SITES and is near a freeway, THERE IS FREEWAY NOISE. We have a limited amount of sites that will fit larger RVs. NO EARLY ARRIVALS. There is a $20 fee for site requests. Guests are allowed one car/truck that must fit on the site with their RV. Site lengths listed are bumper to bumper of entire vehicle(s).  No exceptions.  Oversized vehicles and any visitors must park in the overflow parking and must have a guest car pass. Tent, car, or van camping is not allowed in any RV site. No Bus or Van conversions are allowed. No trucks with tents or camper shells; must be a slide in camper only. All RV's; Class A, Class B, 5th Wheel's, Travel Trailers,Vans, Truck Campers, etc., must be manufactured for RV camping and fully self-contained with operable black and gray tanks. No same-day reservations for Cabins. Pet fees are required for pet friendly cabins. Please call to check availability. Rec Room is open 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM. Pool and Hot Tub: Open year-round. Pool and Hot Tub are open  10:00 am to 9:00 pm, except during times of inclement weather or maintenance.  Max pull thru: 42 feet.

Avila Valley Barn

Located within walking distance from the campground this is a popular destination for locals and tourists.  Deli, ice cream, fudge, baked goods, and plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.  Open all year long.  Winter hours are Thursday through Monday, 10am to 5pm.

Bob Jones Trail

The Bob Jones Trail is located right outside the entrance to the campground.  The trail is a well-paved county-maintained bike trail.   It  is great for all levels of hiking and biking.   Dogs are welcome on the trail.  The trail starts on Ontario road and ends at the beach in Avila and is less than a 3 mile ride.



San Luis Obispo Farmer's Market Thursday Night and Saturday Morning

Enjoy one of the largest and oldest farmer's market in the state.   BBQ, Fresh fruit, vegetables, and live entertainment.  Plenty for the kids and much more.  Many stores stay open late.  Located on Higuera Street in downtown San Luis Obispo.   No admission fee.   6pm to 9pm.  805-541-0286

Saturday Mornings Farmers Market is located in the park lot at 445 Madonna Road, San Luis Obispo.  Every Saturday morning 8am-1030am.  Local farmers selling their fresh picked fruit, vegetables and flowers.    805-544-9570


Hearst Castle/Elephant Seals

Enjoy a scenic drive to Hearst Castle located less than an hours drive on the scenic Pacific Coast Highway.  Tours are available or just stop into the visitor's center.

Take a short drive north of the Hearst Castle and view the Elephant Seals.
