Great location, owners and staff! Cabin was very clean and comfortable for us (2). The on-site campground bathroom is well kept, clean and spacious. The goat petting/feeding area behind cabins is fun entertainment for adults and children. This was our 2nd time at this KOA. We are in our 70's and live west of Portland OR., a long drive, but we will be back. Thanks for a great time.

How can I describe this KOA in only 400 characters? The best, the friendliest, the cleanest bathrooms and showers, a staff that takes pride in their jobs, and Maria who cooks up a great breakfast or dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. They may not have a pool but there is still a lot of fun for the kids!

The staff was amazing and park was awesome too. Joy was who checked us in and she was awesome and even moved us into a better spot when we arrived. I will be coming back for sure.

We had a wonderful experience, camping with friends for an extended weekend. Sites are large and comfortable, thanks to 30/50 amp hookups during a hot weekend. New WIFI is excellent and much appreciated! Can't wait for our next Hat Creek visit!!

We love KOA because the campgrounds are consistently well maintained and offer camp stores and good service. This was our first time at Hat Creek and you blew it by giving us spot #73 which had a steep slope of silty fine dirt right next to our door. We spent all our time with our friends at there spot. Not a good first impression. We liked the campground overall.

Our site was right off of a beautiful little lake, it was the perfect place launch off and explore the world renowned surroundings. The hosts were a huge part of what made our stay so lovely. Kelly made us feel genuinely welcomed and looked after. She’s a super star! I would definitely stay again and would 100% recommend!!

Wonderful to have water and electricity at the camp site. However there was a green snake near the water faucet, felt little scary.

Friendly check in was made easy. The escort to the site, Roberto, was helpful. Site was just ok, since it was next to the bathroom, lots of foot traffic through our site meant not much privacy.

Stayed 3-nights in a 41 foot motorhome with toad. Our pull through site was level with easy access to hookups. We enjoyed the fabulous showers that were very clean. We also had a tasty breakfast in the on-site cafe. If you want to easy access to Burney Falls State Park and Lassen Volcanic National Park, this is the place.

We’ve been coming to this campground for about 25 years and love all the improvements. We were only there for three nights. We’re looking forward to a longer stay to take advantage of the game room!

It was wonderful! The cabins were perfect size, my boys loved the bunk beds. The store was sweet and had good selection and the location was centralized around many of the attractions!

1st KOA visit. Awesome experience. Clean restrooms, the property itself is so well taken care of. Friendly staff. The showers were clean and water is at a great pressure and pretty warm. It was perfect. I even used the Laundromat, which was nice and tidy. Machines worked great. The whole place is quite impressive and such a great backdrop with the surroundings. Definitely would stay here again.

It’s a clean campground. Check in easy and staff nice. Disappointed with it being a Holiday. I would rate this as a journey level rather than holiday. Not very kid friendly. Game room has limited hours and is pretty well used. Store doesn't have many options and what it does is very expensive. Probably wont stay again unless I had to.

Our family has been coming up here for about 100 years. Grew up hunting & fishing up here. We r so thankful KOA took this RV camp over, r getting it back in shape & did not let it end up ruined.

Beautiful grounds. Generous level spaces for all sizes of RV. Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful bathrooms with large showers and plenty of hot water. The showers are tiled so wear your shower shoes

I’m sorry to say we will never be back. We feel the rate was TOO HIGH for what there was. The activities were closed by 8pm, and no pool.

We were there 3 nights and have nothing negative to say. The staff was helpful, the spaces are huge, the bathrooms the best of any place we've stayed, ever! Everything was clean and well maintained. If only there were fish in the pond!

Super helpful and friendly staff at checkin and how fantastic to be so close to such amazing sights… don’t miss the state park and take a side trip to Lassen from here. The rides and hikes are awesome!!

Great campground overall with RV parked next to a pretty pond. Good customer service, friendly staff. Clean grounds and plenty of place next to the campground to walk dog off the leash to run. Only problem was that laundry facility had NO hot water at all. Need to sterilize/clean dirty towels so had to drive down to Old Station where there was a great laundromat.

Nice, quiet place to stay, and this KOA is very close to great fishing. bathrooms are very well kept, thank you. I would like to see the pet areas updated and to be a more pleasant place to wait for our fur babies do their business, such as mulch on the ground and the areas raked every so often, and the poo receptacles emptied at least every other day.

We stayed here for a couple nights while visiting Lassen and traveling through, but it's a nice KOA. The back-in sites around the lake looked nice, but we were in a pull-thru for ease while traveling. Too bad all the fish in the pond were lost this spring and I wish their restaurant were open more as it was closed the days we were there.

This KOA has the best WIFI of any KOA we have ever stayed at!!!! (At least 75 KOAs) The staff gave us the tip to purchase advanced tickets to Burney Falls which was a life saver. AND, they moved our spot for us so we could be in the shade. We didn’t use any of their facilities but would come back again for sure.

You stayed in cabin number two and I have just a couple of notes. The larger bed is listed as a queen but it is definitely a full size bed. I sleep on a queen at home and this one is smaller. The air conditioner was loud but pumped out plenty of cool air keeping us us cool and comfortable even at the hardest part of the day. There were no bowls, cups, plates or utensils which I was surprised about because when I've stayed in other KOA cabins there were but we bought paper plates and plastic utensils. Since the shower was small, we decided to use the showers in the main main part of the campground and they were beautiful. Honestly, they are the nicest showers I've ever seen at a campground. The Wi-Fi strength was excellent, allowing my husband to watch a world cup soccer game on his iPad with no difficulties. Thanks for a great stay.

Six Stars for the Incredible Staff at Burney Falls/Hat Creek KOA! While we didn't actually camp here, I need to share how the incredible staff at this KOA saved us from what could have been a true nightmare. We had a car incident on a remote forest road nearby and our vehicle had to be towed. With zero cell phone reception in the area, a kind soul drove us to this KOA—the closest open place around. Because of the remote location, we ended up stranded here for many long, uncertain hours waiting for a tow truck that could take us all the way to Reno. From the moment we arrived, the staff—specifically Joy and Kevin, the manager—treated us with overwhelming compassion, empathy, and generosity. They immediately provided us with their Wi-Fi connection so we could coordinate with the car rental company and the highway patrol. Throughout the evening and way past midnight, they did everything possible to help us, even offering overnight accommodations if we couldn't get a ride. Thanks to them, a stressful situation felt completely safe. The kindness didn't stop with the staff; an amazing Australian family staying at the campground even offered us some of their freshly baked pizza, which warmed our spirits during a tough night. A tow truck finally arrived and we were able to leave at 1:30 AM. We drove away with so much gratitude in our hearts. To the caring Australian family: thank you for the pizza. To Joy: thank you for your deep concern and your incredibly generous offer to drive us to Reno yourself if needed. To Kevin: thank you for providing so much more than just a safe shelter. Good Samaritans absolutely do exist. If you stay or visit here, know that you are in the absolute best hands.
