- Wade, Swim and Surf (we rent surf and boogie boards)
- Walk for miles at low tide and explore nearby coves and tide pools
- Find starfish, crabs, and sea critters
- Surf fish from the beach (fishing license required)
- Kids can bury their dads in the sand, fly a kite, throw frisbees and footballs
- Adults can relax with a good book or enjoy a glass of wine at sunset
Biking and Hiking
- Angelo Coast Range Reserve has beautiful hiking and biking trails along the Eel River. From campground, go 1 mile north on Highway 1. Turn right on Branscomb Rd. Go 9.5 miles and turn left on Wilderness Lodge Rd. Go 1.5 miles. More info: http://angelo.berkeley.edu/index.htm
- The 10 Mile River Trail starts at 10 Mile River and goes south to MacKerricher Beach. From campground, go south on Highway 1, 6 miles. Cross 10 mile River, turn right on access road to park. More info: www.trails.com/tcatalog_trail.aspx?trailid=BGS057-021
- Wages Creek to Branscomb Road (Start right from our campground!)
- Lost Coast, Usal Camp Road. This famous, pristine area is worth finding! From the campground, drive north 9.5 miles to Rockport. Usal Road branches off Highway 1 three miles north of Rockport. This road is unsigned and unpaved. For the first six miles, Usal Road winds and rises to more than 1,000 feet and then descends to the Usal Beach Campsite. Glass Beach

Redwoods
- In Fort Bragg: Otis R. Johnson Wilderness Park - Located right in Fort Bragg, at the east end of Laurel Street.
- East of Fort Bragg: Jackson State Redwood Forest - A short drive on Highway 20 takes you to an old growth forest, with lots of hiking trails, including the Waterfall Grove Trail. From Highway 1, go east on Highway 20 to the 5.8 mile marker. Turn right on Road 350 (there's no sign) to "Camp One." Go 3 more miles, and you're there. Angelo Coast Range Reserve
Just a short drive up Branscomb Road, this 7,500 acre natural gem has beautiful hiking and biking trails along the Eel River. From campground, go 1 mile north on Highway 1. Point Cabrillo Lighthouse
