April 10-11: Petaluma River Cruise
Location: Petaluma River at the Petaluma Turning Basin from 9 a.m.- 12 p.m.; 1 p.m.- 4 p.m.
Description:
Join Ronn Patterson and Dolphin Charters for a three-hour narrated trip on the Petaluma River. View the commercial and industrial areas of the waterway as the double-decked boat with the picture window departs from the Petaluma River Turning Basin in historic downtown and heads downriver to enter a different world of meadows and oxbows in a scenic wetlands area as the boat winds toward the mouth of the Petaluma River near the Hwy 37 overpass. Learn about the history and importance of the river to the town of Petaluma and the surrounding countryside. See the birds and wildlife (especially with binoculars) that inhabit this special region as the boat cruises downriver and returns. Cost is $35 per person and children must be 8 years or older. Docent Guided Walking Tours of Historic Downtown Thru October
Location: Departs from the Petaluma Historical Library & Museum at 20 Fourth St., Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. Description: Meet on the steps of the Petaluma Historical Library & Museum at 20 4th St. for a docent led tour of the Historic Downtown District most Saturdays.
