We had a wonderful stay. The only negative comment I have is the bathrooms needed to be cleaned more often.

Gave KOA complaints to the office...hopefully corrections will be made by our next stay We love staying at Cherokee KOA...have been staying there for about 35 years Mold seemed to be a big issue (air conditioners in the cabins need to constantly be cleaned) at least once per year With all the campers that flow through KOA in a years time there should "never" be mold issues in the bathrooms

Our family has been camping at the Cherokee KOA for most of my children's life, now my grandchildren are getting the chance to enjoy the experience. We stayed in a camping cabin this time and could not have asked for any better. We all had a great time!

First time there very nice park bathrooms were good we will reserve a larger spot next time our space was tight with a back in and 2 vehicles. Very nice friendly staff. Will definitely stay again!

While traveling we attempted to call and talk with a staff member, but we kept getting the automated system with no options to talk with the staff. It’s a Wonderful and great location! The campground is well kept and the individual sites are large! We definitely recommend a visit! The staff was helpful too!

We had no parking for our cabin 252, we walked a good bit to unload and load our stuff. Even had another camper come tell us to move at 11 pm. People hung out on our site baiting their fishing poles and waiting for their spouses while the fished. We left with bed bug bites all over. Will probably look into other campgrounds for our annual trip.I would leave 1 star, but the pool was nice.

We enjoyed our stay but the staff needs to up their game a bit. They mowed but they really need to trim. The trees, fire pits, and etc contained over grown grass in every campsite. The staff’s campers also looked like a cheap trailer park due to lack of maintenance and trimming. High grass all around and very unsightly

Serious problems with phone service as No OnE ever answered a call and sat on endless loop of “ on hold” messages multiple times - as a result created stress and missed opportunities for both of us and crested very very poor communication - also, women cleaning bathrooms is not sanitary in her process

I was apprehensive about this stay based on recent reviews. We were pleasantly surprised to find the campground in excellent condition. The staff was very friendly especially Delia (she deserves a raise). The restrooms were always clean. Our cabin was very basic (described accurately) but provided exactly what we needed for a camping adventure. Our check-in and check-out was extremely smooth.

Enjoyed our stay. Our cabin was clean, not thrilled with bed setup but made it work, had to climb in and out of one side across bottom of bed. Neighbors were loud and constantly going through our space, not ideal but lived with it. Campground is very nice and staff was helpful. Would suggest stocking outdoor bug spray and citronella candles. Would stay again, it was a good weekend getaway.

It was awesome we loved it. The people were very friendly. The fishing was awesome. The cabin was so nice and inviting . We came for our 32 Wedding anniversary and the fishing we are going to tell everyone about it. Would recommend it highly. We will be back. Thanks for the stay. We had a great time.

This campground was one of the best we’ve been to. Spacious and level sites. Serene. Easy to identify the campground staff by their koa shirts. Seasonal campground decorations were phenomenal. One note. The public road to the Koa had a huge sharp turn on it. Hauling an rv requires slow turn radius to make the turn.

It was nice but, they need to check cabins more readily before renting them to make sure all works or is bad . Also they need to weedeat around the outside of the cabins

We were stopping through & only stayed one night but thinking of booking with the family. LOVED all the Halloween decorations! Bathhouse was very nice & clean & staff was friendly.

Would like to say a big thank you to Brandon. We locked ourselves out of camper at around 9PM one night. Desperate to find help, I went to pool area and found Brandon. He called several associates and radioed others till he found someone with master key, came to our site and opened door. This was at his time to go home but he stayed to help us. Great employee. THANKS!

We had a fantastic time there at Cherokee koa the whole staff were very accommodating the showers and bathrooms were great. And the Cafe food especially the pizza was awesome they had the whole grounds set up for HALLOWEEN great decorations

Wonderful place!! Very nice and helpful employees. Great Tubing trip with KOA. Delicious pancakes and everything.... Great fishing spots and cabins by the river... great atmosphere. Sufficient number of showers and toilets... a bit dusty and a few nice bugs, but it's in the mountains and forest and close to nature, and that's how it's supposed to be! We survived. I would highly recommend!!!

the campground overall is in great condition with all of the upgrades that have been made. The staff were all friendly and did a great job. We were just a little disappointed with our campsite. We booked a deluxe patio. We were given a very small site, with lots of larger ones in the same category empty for the 2 days that we were there.

We were greeted with a wonderful helpful attitude from the front desk what little we got to see of the facilities everything was well kept our cabin was great we brought our little dog (Babygirl) she is 14 years old and she was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure she got sick and we had to come home the first night so sorry to leave but we love KOA �����

WELL THERE WERE NO ACTIVES FOR US AT CAMP GROUND,,,,, WE WERE DIDAPPOINTED ,,, NO S'MORES AT NITE, JUST NO ACTIVES GOING ON ,,,, HOT DOG ROAST,,,, ART AND CRAFT....... SAD BUT CABIN WAS CLEANER,,, BEEN COMING THERE FOR 38 YEARS THANK YOU TAMARA WENDT,,,,,,, GLAD TO SEE NEW POOL OPEN NICE AND HOT TUB WHERE WAS SAUNA???? THANK YOU TAMARA WENDT

Awesome 1st time at a KOA Deluxe cabin. The river front location and all the amenities made the long weekend fun. Loved the Halloween decorations!

Everything was great except for the grounds keeper on a zero-turn mower cutting grass without deflector shield or a mulching cover on his mower throwing clippings and debris on my just washed RV and new truck. Not to forget the fact children and adults where walking ang playing nearby and anyone of them could have been injured or worse.

Absolutely love this campground! So much for my grandchildren to do, just amazing! Clean cabins and campsite, we rented both in our week here. Very accommodating staff, they will help you with just about anything!

Awesome time, spent with my brother. We had a good site on the river. Very peaceful and relaxing. The place was very clean The trout fishing was awesome. Will definitely be back soon

This is a great KOA and camping spot in general! The staff were extremely helpful from pre-arrival to late check-in, and all onsite needs once we were there. We rented a deluxe cabin which was well appointed. The location is just far enough out of downtown Cherokee to be quiet and serene yet just a few minutes drive and you're right at the Oconolufte visitor's center in GSMNP. We requested help with getting a cooking grill grate added to our campfire ring and not only did the office staff kindly request it, but it was already swapped out by the time we walked back to our cabin.
