Always a great time! Love the amenities in the campground and proximity to the GSM National Park and Cherokee. Staff was awesome and always friendly. We stayed in a site with a dog pen, and loved the convenience and space for our 2 dogs. Will be booking again for sure!

Beautiful campground with lots of things to do. Very dog friendly and the nicest paw pens I have ever seen. Office staff very kind and knowledgeable. Maintenance workers were friendly and helpful. Sites are very wide and well laid out. Also easy to drive to with large fifth wheel. Highly recommended and will be returning!!

Everything was great except the indoor pool. The pump was apparently broken and the amount of debris in the pool was disgustingly everything from typical leaves to hair. The water was so disgusting I could barely see my feet. I also couldn’t see the chlorine/bromine tablets that were just thrown at the bottom of the pool. I saw kids picking them up not knowing what they were. Totally unsafe

The Cherokee KOA is our favorite campground to stay at. The staff is fabulous, the campground is always clean, great and fun activities for the kids. If there are any issues within the campground the staff is quick to send out a text message to let you know about it. Highly recommend!!!

We had a great time Easter weekend. The campground is very family friendly, pets included. We had no kids with us but it was good to see so many having a wonderful time. Haley in the office was very pleasant and informative.

My family and I had an awesome time there the kids love the indoor pool couldn't keep them out of it I love the quietness when we first got there it was pretty packed which is good the kids were enjoying the bike riding and cooking out on the grill just the awesome time I would love to come back again if I could find another route there without coming down those mountains but will be back thank yo

Was not aware that cable was no longer provided Office staff made us feel like we were stupid when they told us we needed a smart tv so we could stream Also office closing at 5 is very inconvenient We have been camping here for years but won’t be back

We had a great Spring break at KOA. KOA always has fun activities for the kids to do. We will definitely be back this summer to enjoy the outside pool!

Stay was very pleasant except for the trout fishermen who parked anywhere they wanted and screamed over the noise of the river right behind our site. Some people were using the dog sites and not cleaning up the waste also.

Staff were very helpful and efficient. Site was clean and level. Bathrooms, especially the men’s, needed some attention. A lot of attention!

We were there for a week. Had a great time. The campground is well maintained. the staff is friendly and helpful. Communication from the staff about the events via text was great. We will try a site with the dog pens on next stay.

This was our second stay at the KOA in Cherokee. Check in and out was easy. The camp store employees were helpful and friendly. Bathhouse could use a little more attention but the showers were great. My only complaint is a house nearby across from the ponds (where our spot was) that seemingly let their dog at 1030pm nightly and barked almost all night, a little frustrating with a 10 month old baby

Had great time fishing. Because of our age we are now limited to trout fishing in ponds. Saturday morning the gate was not unlocked to upper pond until around 9:00 am ( had to drive around). Please bring back cable. Streaming is very spotty.

Reserved a thirty amp back in next to fence. First site they took me to was a gravel mound, not wanting to go through major leveling I requested a more level site. They then took me to a grassy mud pit in the rain. The two nights we were there back in sites remained open. KOA is my last booking resort because of things like this.

We have stayed at a lot of campgrounds and many of them were KOA's. This was the worst campground we've ever stayed at over the years. Bathrooms still have DEI information. Bathrooms didn't always have soap or toilet paper. The pool area had multiple people in the pool and hot tub consuming alcoholic beverages and my family didn't want to be around that. The pool area was dirty.

We had a great stay. Would like to see the bathrooms stocked with toilet paper. Several of them were empty. Also the kids rope around the tall play place is very loose and needs to be fixed. Potential for 1 way streets

We had a great time!! Lots of activities for family fun. Very nice staff and facilities. The pool and game room was perfect on rest days as the kids could still have entertainment while we got to relax. This was our first time staying in Cherokee, North Carolina and we will definitely be back. This is a very nice KOA. Very clean and accommodating I can't express enough the emphasis they put on families and making sure that we enjoyed ourselves thank you KOA.

Will always be my favorite KOA! The newly renovated pool area and splash pad are my kids favorite. We love to fish in the ponds and the creek. Always a fun, happy atmosphere when at the Cherokee KOA. We come at least twice yearly from eastern North Carolina
