We love the Cherokee KOA. The only recommendation is in the cabins our bathroom heater didn’t work and the circuit breaker popped twice while drying hair. It would be really nice to have AC in bedroom.

Cabin wasn't cleaned very well upon arrival. Freezer was dirty as well as trash in the floor. Porch has spider nests in the rafters and the whole cabin is leaning toward the water. Screen door won't shut. Asked for extra blankets after freezing the first night and never got them. It was our first stay in a cabin and it was disappointing.

The provided tools for the grill did not include a grill brush or tongs. The grill also didn't work when we got there. Cabin was dirty, tons of dust on the fan blades for example. I would also not call KOA dog-friendly, it relies on who your neighbors are during your stay. We were chastised about uncommunicated rules that many other guests werent following. I will never stay at another KOA again.

The only complaint I have is, we asked for more towels around 12:00 on Saturday. We were told they would call house keeping at 3 o’clock to let them know, the towels were not delivered.

The cabin we stayed in had screens missing off the windows and holes in them so we didn't want to open the windows but did so anyways as the AC unit did not work properly and wouldn't cool off the cabin. Quite disappointed for the price we paid, expected a more updated cabin with a working AC. Also the bath houses were not kept clean during our weekend stay.

We love it there. The only problem we had was parking for our cabin. We were in the front cabins were there should be marked spots for your cabin number cause we couldn’t get a spot we had to park out at the pond area. People park their trailers next to their cars should be an over flow lot for them. Other than that always a great time.

We stayed 2 nights in a cabin. We had a great time. The fishing was awesome. The only thing is the parking is difficult. It's best if you only bring 1 vehicle.

The campground itself is beautiful with nice amenities, but the cleanliness of the pool area and restrooms was a concern (not cleaned over 5 days despite horrible messes). I opened our cabin windows, and the frames fell apart, with the glass nearly falling out. Just a little maintenance goes a long way. I had thought there was a mini fridge based on description when booking. The cabin was cute….

5/5, very family friendly. A LOT of stuff for the kids to do on either a lazy day where you don't want to go anywhere after driving for hours, or for an afternoon after returning from GSMNP. Proximity to the park makes this a must-visit location. I can confidently say we'll return.

We stay there for spring break. The staff are so polite the camper cabins was clean the bathrooms we clean. A very quite place to relax and enjoy the mountain air and scenery.

Had a great time at Cherokee KOA. They kept us informed of activities. Very nice cabin. Great place to stay. Staff was friendly and polite. Will be back again.

My RV broke down on the way, requested a cancelation only to be told that was not an option. Was told we could convert it to a cabin at a much higher cost. Decided to do it anyway because my son and his family were also staying there. Cabin had no place for clothes except for a couple of hooks, nothing for folded clothes. Heat in bathroom had no knob to operate it with (temp got down to high 30's)

We have been to the Cherokee KOA either in our motorhome or by renting a cabin several times. Never disappointed. The checking in process is easy and quick. The cabin we rented this time was awesome. So comfortable. We will definitely return again and again.

BATH ROOMS ARE DIRTY, NOT CLEANED SEVERAL TIMES A DAY, DIRTY SINKS , TOILET SEATS AND WALLS. CHARGING ADDITIONAL FEES TO GAUAREENTE A SPOT IS SO WRONG,WILL BE THINKING TWICE BEFORE BOOKING AGAIN. OFFICE / STORE NEED TO BE OPEN LATER THAN 5PM.

The bathrooms need attention but some of it was addressed while we were there. Deadbolts added to the doors is a huge upgrade.

Cabin was clean and cozy, right next to river. The only thing we would like to have was a bigger fridge and a better coffee pot. Would definitely stay again.

It was my first time staying at any KOA and I will be backs my son and I caught fish in the morning then went swimming in the afternoon then back to fishing again.

We had a great time at the campground! The staff were absolutely awesome—friendly, helpful, and made us feel welcome from the start. The only downside was the indoor pool, which could really use some updating and a more thorough cleaning. Overall, a fun experience, but a little maintenance on the pool would make it even better.

We had a wonderful stay in the Deluxe Cabin. Our only suggestion/note is that the AC does not cool the bedroom, maybe consider adding a room AC unit in the bedroom.

The cabin was great as normal the ground staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The fishing was wonderful brought many fish home. We have already made our reservation for next year. See y’all soon.

Neighbors in the cabin next to us were loud. Cabin had a couple minor issues that need repair - peeling shingles on roof, one of the porch rails is broken, and picnic table had a huge hole in it.

Cabin was good, but the screen door on unit # 24 need to be fix so it will open all the way back. And the picnic table need to be replace or sanded and painted on # 24. And it would be nice to have some sort of table in the Cabins. Oh, and the ceiling fan need to be check out for noise. Thanks, I will be back in September

We had a great time!! Lots of activities for family fun. Very nice staff and facilities. The pool and game room was perfect on rest days as the kids could still have entertainment while we got to relax. This was our first time staying in Cherokee, North Carolina and we will definitely be back. This is a very nice KOA. Very clean and accommodating I can't express enough the emphasis they put on families and making sure that we enjoyed ourselves thank you KOA.

Will always be my favorite KOA! The newly renovated pool area and splash pad are my kids favorite. We love to fish in the ponds and the creek. Always a fun, happy atmosphere when at the Cherokee KOA. We come at least twice yearly from eastern North Carolina
