Store needs to be open until 8:00pm. Cafe needs to be open 7 days a week between Memorial Day and Labor Day. So many cabins crammed in that parking for them wasn’t planned very well. All of our cabins needed filters changed on the AC.

We love this campground and had a wonderful time however I don’t understand the cafe only being open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Also wish the pool and hot tub stayed open til at least 10pm. Closing at dusk seems too early.

We rented a deluxe cabin, and it was nice, but several things ruined our stay. The wifi connection was terrible. None of us were able to stream from our phones or the tv. There was no toilet paper. At peak times, there was no hot water. The room with the bunks had bugs so we had to leave early. They gave us a refund, but we would rather have had the vacation we planned. So disappointed.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our stay was great with no complaints except when we first arrived at our cabin, the floor was very sticky from a spill and needed to be mopped. Our shoes stuck and made noises over the whole floor. The bathroom smelled like urine. We bought a mop and cleaner, cleaned the toilet and bathroom floor and mopped the whole cabin floor and resolved both issues.

We’ve seen a decline in facilities and services. Kids programs no longer happen on weekdays. Store hours cut. Our cabin L226 smelled of sewer gas. Plumbing is not vented properly and vents through the sink. Indoor pool is closed. The unused floor vents are filthy. Ceiling fan caked with dust. Freezer clogged with ice. Frig was dirty. Ac and heat worked great. Beds were clean and comfortable.

The campground itself is well maintained. The Deluxe Camping Cabin provided plenty of room and was situated on the river. Unfortunately, we had to do quite a bit of cleaning when we arrived. There were potato chips underneath the sleeper sofa and sporadic ants. The air conditioner in the bedroom was coated in dust. Upon removing the filter screen, it was absolutely disgusting. I cleaned it!

Our 6th year coming from Florida. This year, we needed 2 cabins and the staff was great at coordinating to make sure we were as close as possible. We’ll be back next year!

My day was fantastic. The staff and everybody that worked with their fabulous people. I enjoy the scenery. I was misled a little about the access to the river for fly fishing, but that’s OK. I really had a great time and the trout are all so tasty.

The staff was great . Sara(Mgr) was amazing. However the cabins could use a deep cleaning . The ceiling fans were absolutely filthy, the AC units too. I cut the AC on in the bedroom and black nasty chunks of dust blew all over the bed every single time . The bottom right drawer in the frig was broken . The lights above the bed were rip out of the wall with electrical wires exposed.

I stayed in cabin 249. The cabin was ok but the grass was so long my 14 month old son could not play in the grass. The grass on most of the campground needed to be cut. The store closed at 6pm even when they told us they would be open until 8pm. I believe the bathrooms were only cleaned 1 time the whole time I was there ( 5 days ) The bathrooms should be cleaned 2 times a day.

We have been coming to this KOA since 2002 and the last 2 years have been really bad. We have had ants in 2 cabins, bedbugs twice, we found wrappers under our bed (cabin 253). The cabins are not being cleaned properly, the grounds are not being taken care of. Bathrooms not cleaned. It has been so bad over the last 2 years that we found another camp ground that we will be staying at from now on

My daughter stayed in cabin 250 and ended up with bed bugs in her cabin. We spent 5 hours putting clothes in the drier and packing her to leave. This is the second year in a row that cabin 250 had bed bugs and we read on face book that this cabin has had multiple times where guests found bed bugs. We also found out that a lot of other cabins have bed bugs. Cabin 250 should be set on fire.

Our stay was great. Our grandkids saw kids that they had met last summer. So much fun for them. There were some things that the staff had to come into our cabin to repair but they are quick and efficient. The only thing that was not correct on our reservation was that someone forgot to read the "special instructions" because we requested no linens in our cabin because of sensitivities to scents.

This was the first time staying at KOA in Cherokee. We loved it and plan to return. However, we did have a few issues. We did not have water that was accessible without having to go into someone else's camp. Parking was also very limited. other people were parking their cars over ours, making it difficult to come and go.

Our biggest complaint was how gross the bathrooms were. One of our days we are completely positive none in our area were cleaned bc every clogged toilet was clogged until late at night and every bit of tissue and trash was the same. We understand the ground was full but when you have no choice but to use shared bathrooms and showers, it’d be nice if they were cleaned daily.

The campground was fun, my family stayed in their RV & in a great spot so we all enjoyed that. I stayed in camping cabin (300) Very disappointing, so HOT, you could only be in there after 9/10pm & that was with 3 fans. Should put little wall units in every cabin. Dirty windows with completely torn screens, tiny ants all over. Def worried after hearing previous bedbug issues.Check, spray & CLEAN!!

The property is wonderful. Came here many times as my kids where growing up. They must be short staffed, indoor pool closed all week, store closed at 5 or 6, dlxe cabin was great but housekeeping/seasonal maintenance lacked; bdrm ceiling fan blades had an inch of dust caked, dust/cobwebs on bathroom walls were from previous years, not recent. Curtain missing on door. Riverbank grass was 2 ft tall.

We had a great time with our grandkids. We had a small glitch in our stay, power had to be shut off for 7 hours but the office kept us informed and compensated us for the inconvenience. My grandchild has diabetes and requires electronic devices for her care and the staff made sure we were able to charge them. Only 1 negative, the pool was so dirty I’m not sure it was cleaned at all on our visit.

Stayed there on Memorial Day weekend and it was packed. Tuesday emptied out to a quiet place. We had a pond side site which was nice for not having neighbors on top of us, though pond access is blocked by a chain link fence (good to keep separation from fishing). Site was a level concrete pad. Handy to Great Smoky Mountain park and the nice town of Cherokee. Minutes from Mingo falls which is worth the stop. Only complaint was we used the pine bench in front of the office/store and we both ruined shorts as they got covered in pitch from sitting there (stuck to the bench). Told the woman at the office desk and she was indifferent - they did nothing, next day no sign posted and bench still there. She claimed she would tell office manager (Sarah) and we didn't hear from her.

The first cabin was small and had no bathroom it was alittle bit of a walk not great with 2 toddlers and pregnant daughter was able to upgrade to beautiful 1 bedroom on the river with nice bathroom and kitchenette all amenities were great but 5 mountain miles from town. Large property if book online website not accurate. It was nice
