The campground is very nice, pool, store, grounds, etc. I am overall happy with our stay and location of the campground. As for the location of our site I was not so satisfied with. We stayed next to the ponds, I will definitely visit this campground again but will not stay in the pond side. Do to the presence of many fisherman we had absolutely no privacy at our site. Hot tub was also broken.

We love the river. It keeps us coming back year after year. If I could tell them one thing to do better, it would be to clean the bathroom areas more and better.

We had several problems. The grill didn't work, bathroom door nob broke, shower handle didn't work properly, had limited silverware, pots were wore out tephalon coming off, wifi was bad, and got moved on location by computer they said. There were other issues but cabin was not up to basic standards. Love the concept, can see where lots of money been spent. But need to maintain the facilities even

I think we stayed in the shoulder season bc I noticed the college kids that are usually working there were not present. Which also means less staff & bathrooms were not as clean as they have been in previous visits. The food at the cafe was ok. The new outdoor pool is beautiful. I love the new tubing route, much longer than mingo falls drop off.

Such a great time! They did run out of ice cream during first 20 min of the activity so my son could not participate besides that everything was fun! Try the tubing trip, worth every penny!!

We had a blast. We brought our 4 kids ages 6-11 for a week and they all enjoyed the pool, fishing, the playground and riding their bikes making new friends. They also enjoyed the kids events the KOA hosted. Our cabin was cozy and the entire campground was very well maintained and had a very relaxed feel :) Super friendly staff too! I could go on forever about how much we enjoyed our stay!

Really enjoyed our stay. Updates to campground are fanastic, especially around the entrance and pool areas. My only complaint is the dust in the cabins. It would be great if the ceiling fan and a/c were dusted occasionally and the cobwebs in the corners were removed. Those small things make the cabins feel dirty.

The campground is not like it use to be. The bathrooms are so so, not kept up and wiped down. The prices in the store are astronomical, there is pay for convenience and then there is price gouging. We tried to have 2 cabins side by side, it would have been an additional $22, that’s absolutely ridiculous. It’s all about the $$ and not about the camping experience at all. Will not be going back!

First, the positive: the staff is super friendly and helpful, the amenities are wonderful (2 beautiful pools, delicious food at the poolside cafe, Hershey's ice cream, beautiful surroundings, and more! The negative: the deluxe cabin was not cleaned properly and needs physical attention. Bathroom smells of urine, I think the floor must be rotting underneath, dust on ceiling fan, etc.

This was our first time staying at a Koa. We will return and make this our vacation spot yearly. Your staff was wonderful

This is the third time one of the staff was rude to either myself or my wife. I sort of tried to understand their position this time, but the staff member was curt in her response with ordering me to take action upon her command. After being rude, she accused me of being rude. We used to stay at this site 2-3 times a year. Cherokee KOA has lost our business forever.

My wife, and a friend of ours stayed Cherokee KOA for the 1st time from 08/15/23 to 08/19/23 at sight 133 with pet fence was a great sight, staff was great always willing to help with anything. Only thing wish they had was firewood and jets on hot tub to work other than that place was great and will be back.

Everything was fine except there are no benches or chairs in the bathrooms to sit and put your clothes on after taking a shower.

Campground was very clean and had a lot to offer. Employees were very polite, friendly and helpful. I thought they went a little fast on the golf carts though. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Always beautiful. Loved the updates. Friendly and helpful staff. One comment....for these larger toy haulers, would love to see an off loading ramp for motorcycles. These larger toy haulers are very high and ramp doors are steep and difficult too off load "toys". Come down every year �ϋ��ϋ��ϋ� the campground.

Nice, quiet, and relaxing stay. Drawbacks were the jets on the hot tub were not working and the cabin while clean, had a very strong odor of urine. Maintenance came by Sunday evening and sprayed the floor with a disinfectant which helped and then I bought an air freshener that also helped. I would suggest that every inch of the floor be mopped with Lysol or similar product.

Great staff, Loved being on the creek. Down side, someone right near us had 5 dogs. They would bark all day long. I imagine you probably got other complaints about them. They would leave one of the dogs out all night, and it would bark randomly throughout the night. Also people would constantly walk through our site to go fishing. If I still had young kids, that would have been an issue.

We camped at this KOA back in the 90s when it was privately owned. It was a place that hundreds of memories were made. When they sold out to corporate, it changed to an awful campground. Years later, I decided to give it another try. It has almost returned to its former magic. Cabin was clean & perfectly situated on the river. The bed was comfortable. Pool, cafe, bathhouses, amenities were great.

In the county, in a valley tucked around the corner from the Great Smokies NP entrance. Wonderful outdoor pool, an enclosed pool, and jumping pillow. Really nice bathrooms and play ground. Popular fishing ponds and a nice creek and river frame the campground. Would stay again if in the area!

I cannot recommend this campground for big rigs due to the tree overgrowth. Our Super C has a height clearance of 12.8'. Being led to our site, low hanging branches from the trees were slapping the RV. On exit, additional trees hanging low over the lane were troublesome. At home we found a branch under one of our solar panels. Hopefully an inspection will show no further damage. New pool was nice.

Overall, the stay was great. However, a little more silverware or dishes in the cabinets would be helpful. The staff was fantastic. Professional, friendly, and extremely polite.

Awesome time, spent with my brother. We had a good site on the river. Very peaceful and relaxing. The place was very clean The trout fishing was awesome. Will definitely be back soon

This is a great KOA and camping spot in general! The staff were extremely helpful from pre-arrival to late check-in, and all onsite needs once we were there. We rented a deluxe cabin which was well appointed. The location is just far enough out of downtown Cherokee to be quiet and serene yet just a few minutes drive and you're right at the Oconolufte visitor's center in GSMNP. We requested help with getting a cooking grill grate added to our campfire ring and not only did the office staff kindly request it, but it was already swapped out by the time we walked back to our cabin.

The staff was very pleasant and the facilities were maintained well. There are plenty of things to entertain the kids with onsite, the fishing was good and location provided nice views. We definitely had a great time and certainly plan on returning!
