Everything was good except our cabin #380 smelled like cigarette smoke and marijuana. I slept in the upper bunk and it smelt really bad. The mattress needs to be replaced. I don't mind if people smoke but they need to do it outside. The refrigerator was dirty and the fan between the main room and the bunk room was dirty. I seen several dogs off leash as well. Otherwise we had a great time.

I really enjoyed my stay. I was a bit disappointed that the KOA tournament didn't take place for opening day this year. I always have enjoyed being a part of that tournament and felt it was a big let down that it didn't take place. Cabin was in a great location this year and the kid had fun with the pool and bouncer and playgrounds.

Amenities for kids were a plus but never saw train car run through campground. On our second day there, sewage backed up and flooded our site, including our drinking hose which is disgusting. Thank God we had bottled water. Worker said it happens at every campground, however, we've stayed at many and have never had this happen. Not a good experience!!!

Overall we enjoyed our stay as first time guests but the indoor pool area could use attention daily. Lots of debris from the roof that opens for ventilation and trash laying around untouched for days. Also, the road noise on the pond side of the campground makes it very hard to rest at night. Tons of traffic all night long so if you are a light sleeper or have little ones beware.

We rented an expensive cabin. Had one trash bag for two nights, the heat didn’t work in one room, bloody mattress pad on the pull out sofa. Asked front desk for trash bags and coffee pods for our second day. Never showed up. Poor service for sure. A lot of yellow shirts sitting in golf carts. I was disappointed. The park itself is beautiful.

Cabin 384 was perfect! Spacious, well equipped and very clean. The ground keepers were always maintaining the common areas and friendly. Perfect location to many activities outside the campground.

This is our first time staying in a cabin. The Cherokee property is beautiful and well maintained. Everyone on staff was polite and helpful. There is planets to see offsite and the people in Cherokee were friendly. Seeing the Elk nearby was amazing.

It was wonderful. I was told there is going to be a place to eat and game room opening where we stayed that would be wonderful. Truly family friendly. I would certainly bring grands and great grands for vacation. There staff go beyond to help you. Friendly staff. The staff always cleaning and making sure you have everything you need. Cannot wait to come again.

We stayed there twenty years ago and were shocked to see so many cabins facing the river and RVs' everywhere. One much needed improvement with such a large, crowded campsite: if you're situated far from the bathrooms, and have to go at night, it's difficult to find your way along the dark, winding paths. These need lights set into the road-solar lights! Cleanliness and helpful staff-5 stars!

It was our first time staying here.It was cool and rainy,but we still had a great time .We had 3 adults and 8 kids,the kids had a blast on the bounce mat and loved having the indoor pool during bad weather.We also rented the pedal carts that they had fun.Very family friendly and clean.I would recommend camping here for your stay in Cherokee.

The staff welcomed me upon arrival. Maintenance arrived quickly when I asked for assistance with operating the gas logs--and the maintenance staff that provided the assistance was extremely polite and knowledgeable. The cabin was just as advertised. It was very clean and all needed amenities were provided. I enjoyed my stay.

We had a deluxe cabin for 5 of us. It was very clean and comfortable, right on the river. We were very happy with all the accommodations! Will definitely come back!

Our stay was great! The staff was very helpful! The only thing I would say negative is that the couch in our cabin needed to be replaced due to heavy wear and tear!

Loved everything about this place and would definitely go back but will go back in my camper before staying in another cabin, my daughter seems to be ate up with bed bug bites which will now cause me to have to treat everything in my own home now to prevent any in my own home.

We stay this koa numerous times this time not so good was told last month hot tub be ready get there be next week had 2 camping cabins and to make sure they side by side charged $22 per cabin ridiculous not sure we be back maybe new owners or manager but has gone down hill

A wad of gum was left on the shelf at top of bed and covered in ants. Also crawling on sheets. Unacceptable when paying for a deluxe cabin. We went with family and were put all the way across the campground from each other even though I was told the cabin sites would not change. The staff was not willing to help accommodate us. Also had no fire pit at one of the cabins. We were very disappointed

Super beautiful campground with mountains surrounding in every direction. We stayed in a cabin and it was clean except for having tons of spider webs, and we had several stink bug friends and ants stay with us. The bathroom house was super clean and very nice. The staff on the golf carts were very friendly but the staff that checked you in wasn't that friendly.

The staff was terrific. We had a vehicle mishap and the staff helped us out by getting supplies needed for a quick repair. The facilities are clean and the location was the best

Overall, excellent experience! Very impressed with the Deluxe, Creekside cabin. This was one of the nicest cabins I’ve stayed in with all the essentials under one roof. One recommendation: Need ant traps, or exterminator. The ants were coming out of floor boards, and wall panels. This was only a slight nuisance: I had to closely watch my stuff to keep the ants off.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay in your loft cabin. The riverside setting was peaceful and beautiful. The cabin was very clean, well furnished and well appointed. We especially enjoyed the upper "fenced patio deck" for our dog, the lower fire pit area, and the gas grill. The only addition I'd recommend would be a gate on the deck.

Absolutely love this campground! So much for my grandchildren to do, just amazing! Clean cabins and campsite, we rented both in our week here. Very accommodating staff, they will help you with just about anything!

Awesome time, spent with my brother. We had a good site on the river. Very peaceful and relaxing. The place was very clean The trout fishing was awesome. Will definitely be back soon

This is a great KOA and camping spot in general! The staff were extremely helpful from pre-arrival to late check-in, and all onsite needs once we were there. We rented a deluxe cabin which was well appointed. The location is just far enough out of downtown Cherokee to be quiet and serene yet just a few minutes drive and you're right at the Oconolufte visitor's center in GSMNP. We requested help with getting a cooking grill grate added to our campfire ring and not only did the office staff kindly request it, but it was already swapped out by the time we walked back to our cabin.
