This recipe is perfect for kids to help make and for all ages to enjoy. Get creative by adding your own decorations and flavorings.
- 2 quarts strawberries
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 (8oz) package of cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Wash strawberries and pat dry. Cut the stems off of each berry so they have a stable base. Cut the tips off of each berry and reserve for the Santa “hats”. Hollow out a small cavity in each berry for the filling.
- Beat cream to stiff peaks. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and salt until light and fluffy. Add ¼ of the whipped cream and combine well. Gently fold in remaining whipped cream.
- Spoon filling into a piping bag and pipe filling into each strawberry. Top with strawberry “hat” and add buttons and a pompom on the hat.
