New KOA Campgrounds to Explore in 2019

These awesome new KOA campgrounds need to be on your list this year.

Every year, new campgrounds join the Kampgrounds of America family of campgrounds expanding our system across the United States and Canada. This year’s KOA Directory, releasing in March, will feature over 500 KOA campgrounds for you to visit including 16 brand new locations throughout North America. With so many new places to explore, we introduce you to some of these new KOA campgrounds below. Next month, we’ll visit the rest of our new KOA Campgrounds and you’ll still be left with plenty of time to plan a summer road trip or two.

Lake Milton / Berlin Lake KOA

Come and enjoy the beautiful Lake Milton / Berlin KOA which sits on 82 beautifully maintained acres. Enjoy swimming, sun bathing and the inflatable waterslide at the swimming lake. Continue your water adventures on the fishing and boating lake – you’ll even find boat rentals for your convenience at this KOA. On the land, the fun continues with bocce ball, shuffle board, jumping pillow, cornhole, horseshoes and more. You’ll also be able to enjoy fun planned activities and themed weekends during summer stays. With so much to do you’ll never want to leave!

Angola / Hogback Lake KOA Holiday

Is there anything better than camping lakeside? We don’t think so! The Angola / Hogback Lake KOA Holiday is located on the shores of Hogback Lake creating a relaxing retreat. While you’re here try your hand at fishing or rent a boat at the marina. If you’d rather stay on land you’ll love the private beach that’s just a short walk from your campsite. This campground also has an impressive list of activities and amenities including five playgrounds, a Kamp K9 dog park, two basketball courts, volleyball court, two pavilions and more. Whether you choose to stay in a Deluxe Cabin, tent or RV, this new KOA is sure to please!

Lemolo Lake / Crater Lake North KOA

If you’re really looking to get back to nature then you’ll want to book a stay at the Lemolo Lake / Crater Lake North KOA. This Oregon campground features intimate sites amid towering pines far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Fishing, boating, hiking, mountain biking and more are easy to do from this campground. Explore nearby waterfalls and hot springs to feel rejuvenated. Crater Lake National Park is also just a short drive from the campground – a must-see destination. For RVers, Pull Thru sites make getting in and out easy. If RVing isn’t how you camp, enjoy a wooded tent site or Deluxe Cabin with a lake view at this classic campground.

Jennings KOA Holiday

Situated conveniently at the Florida-Georgia line, Jennings KOA Holiday is your gateway to great family adventures. Just 20 minutes from Wild Adventures Theme Park and four hours from Disney World, this KOA campground is a perfect stop for quick stays and extended vacations. RVers will appreciate that all sites 50 amp full hookup pull-thrus which makes getting in and out a breeze. The campground also features comfortable Deluxe Cabins and tent sites to accommodate all types of campers. Fish in the lake, swim in the pool, and enjoy a long list of amenities. Forgot things at home or looking for a souvenir? The well stocked store is sure to have just what you are looking for!

Durango North / Riverside KOA

Located along the beautiful Animas River amid the towering ponderosa pines, the Durango North / Riverside KOA is sure to be a new favorite. This campground offers riverside camping accompanying spectacular mountain views. Don’t miss out on the Fresh Hot Pizza Parlor, Two scoops Ice Cream Shoppe, nightly movies and delicious homemade fudge. Just a short drive south of the campground Historic Durango offers Jeep rentals and tours, river rafting, horseback riding and the popular Durango/Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. Get ready for a wild west adventure at this KOA.

Port Lavaca / Matagorda Bay KOA

Scenic waterfront views come standard at this new build campground that’ vacation paradise. The Port Lavaca / Matagorda Bay KOA features 600 feet of natural shoreline, an expansive fishing pier, public boat ramp and so much more to come. Full hookup campsites offer up to 50 amps of power and up to 75 feet of room to pull in without unhooking your tow vehicle. A playground, store, laundry facilities, and unisex restrooms await your arrival with a brand new swimming pool in the works. You could pick one of the more traditional spots in Texas or you could be one of the first to experience this new breathtaking KOA on Texas’ secret coast.

Lost Hills KOA

The perfect oasis for road weary travelers, the Lost Hills KOA is conveniently located near California’s highway 5. Featuring shaded, big rig friendly pull-thru sites, RVers are sure to appreciate this campground. Take a dip in the pool, try your hand at a game of horseshoes, or take Fido to the dog park. You can even charge your electric car at this campground!
