This 80-mile stretch of U.S. 89 in Lincoln County begins at the Idaho border near Geneva Junction and climbs through Salt Canyon to the stunning views from Salt River Pass. The byway then descends into Star Valley, traversing the towns of Smoot, Afton, Grover, Thayne, and Etna before continuing east on U.S. 26-89 through Snake River Canyon to its terminus near Hoback Junction.
