The noise from the highway and the train tracks killed my stay. No matter how nice a place looks, when you loose a whole night's sleep and a whole day's peace, they stay was totally ruined! You owe me a refund!

Property sits between traintracks & hwy. We listened to jake breaking big trucks, multiple trains, & garbage truck ran at 6am right beside our campsite. After check-in, we found out that we couldn't access the river unless you booked a waterfront site. Make sure ask prior to booking, they wouldn't rent tubes because our children weren't old enough. The whole trip revolved around water-BUST at KOA.

The campground was very well kept by the staff. We got tent sites T15 & T16 by the river....I wasnt aware of an additional pet deposit until I got there. Other KOAs I've stayed at I didnt have one. So it was an exrra cost i wasnt expecting. The access to our campsites were downstairs & everyone in the campsite felt it was ok to walk thru our site to look at the waterfront. Camp etiquette was poor.

Clean campground and restrooms. Clean sites. A bit noisy from the highway and trains. Beautiful setting. Nice people.

There was a ton of dog poop all over by 16. My son stepped in it & had no other shoes. Aside from that we had an amazing time.

Great spot next to the river! Loved how clean the site was (especially with young kids), and how close it was to the springs and tube rentals to float the river!

The campground was clean and well-kept. Everything was pleasant. We stayed in a tent, so it was very noisy from the highway traffic and trains. But I understand that's beyond their control. Next time we'd stay in a camper

Definitely love this campground! The only complaint I have is that both nights there were people in nearby sites playing loud music well after 10pm. I was camping with my children so I was hesitant to tell a group of drunken grown men to turn off their music. My safety and that of my children is more important than missing out on a few hours of sleep. Who enforces quiet hours?

Customer service was great and the facilities were clean. I just don’t feel the extension site was well planned out. Seems like it was done for maximum efficiency and minimum enjoyment- everything was WAY too close together and we spent all night struggling to sleep in our tents as cars drove past honking and shining their lights into the campsite. Need to space things out and get a sound wall.

I stayed for a tent site, this location has so much awesome activities from a walking distance. The quaint town, hot springs, perfect location. This truly a family campground of all ages. The staff office were very informative and friendly, the accommodations were clean.

I stayed in T5. It was tiny and didn’t have a picnic table as advertised. For the price I paid I don’t feel like it was worth it.

The cost to pitch a tent is WILD! $67 just for me to pitch a tent for the night is ridiculous. I will not be staying here again.

Camping site next to the river is also next to the road. Quite noisy. But the site was close to the hot springs.

Campsite was clean and well maintained. Employees were nice, but the constant "do this/don't do this or we'll fine you was a bit... off putting. But maybe the overall cleanliness was a result of those threats?! Overall a good experience and I'd stay there again.

Only disadvantage if your a light sleeper is that the trains come frequently and blow their horns. No dedicated parking spots for the tent sites. But great site overall

Staff was great, but I had a tent spot, and there are trains that go by all night right next to the campsite. I needed earplugs to sleep. I love KOA's but I will never camp in a tent spot on east again. Maybe a little cabin but I imagine those guys are getting rocked by the train every night too... If it wasn't right next to the active train tracks and highway it would be ranked higher..

Very well kept, clean showers and restrooms. The staff was real friendly and gave informative recommendations. Heavy commerce thru the area, recommend ear plugs or using an ambient sound device to mask the road and train noise. I’ll stay here again despite.

The staff was kind and friendly, and camp was clean. I liked the welcoming emails before my stay. The camp was quiet and bathrooms were always spotless. Thanks, we had a great time.

As a tent camper, I liked the sandy area for tents. What was not great was the 20+ stairs to get to the tent area from the parking area. Also, I didn't see any garbage cans in the east end of the site. Other downsides: Next to US 30 and near the bottom of a hill that a lot of semis use exhaust braking on; An active rail line on the other side of US 30. The shower facilities were very good.

This was a terrible camping experience for us. The was no water on Saturday morning, so we had to go to the other KOA location in town to use the restroom. Then on Saturday afternoon we were sitting by the fire at our campground near the river and there were CONSTANTLY people entering the water right through our camp literally walking within 1 foot of our tent to get into the river.

Overpriced for a small tent spot with no privacy. Restrooms were closed in the morning with water issues.

The people at KOA East are so much friendlier than West. My only complaint is that the stairs leading to T14 are a chore to load, unload etc. there was also a huge wasps nest in the tree above T15 so we were battling wasps all weekend. We will definitely be back!

This was a fantastic camp ground! We loved camping right by the river. It was nice being able to walk into town. Everything is close by. The camp grounds are nice and well taken care of and the bathrooms and showers are very clean and nice. Would definitely stay here again. My only recommendation would be to bring ear plugs for the night time. The trains and traffic are loud all night long.

It's a very nice facility and we love the #1 tent sight. The only thing I could say is that I booked online and paid for 2 cars online but they charged me for the second car a second time when I went to check in. Maybe try to change that online. Otherwise, clean, nice and close to the river!

There is a train track where a train is constantly passing my through even the middle of the night. This is not a good place for tent camping we didn’t get the site they promised us and the site we did get barely fit the amount of people we had. We were harassed by security for absolutely no reason.

The campground is beautiful and facilities clean. BUT our stay in the new tent area was subpar for the cost. We were in campsite T16, while T18 was utilizing all parking & had multiple people and tents on both T18 & site T17. They did not adhere to the quiet hours, and double parked in the designated parking area. We spoke to the front office, but I feel that it fell on def ears.

Quick overnight passing through on a road trip- I didn’t explore the area much but the KOA was pretty quiet and very clean, the bathrooms/showers were great! I’m a solo woman in my 20s and I felt safe at this spot which is always the biggest thing for me

Didn’t get the electric tenant’s we boo and had to “borrow” the rv site next to ours electric during our stay. The other people weren’t thrilled but let us. My 1st time staying at a KOA and felt like I didn’t get what I paid for

The staff, check in progress was great. The campground is very clean. The bathrooms and communal kitchen area all very well kept. Our problem was the road noise. It’s wrong not to warn guests there are train tracks across the highway which is in an incline so road noise is constant at night. Also the river is infested with green algae- is the water safe for dogs? Who knows.

We visited this KOA in early fall after the summer rush, so the camp ground was pretty quiet and not full of campers. Check I was a breeze and the employees were friendly and helpful. There really aren't any bad sites here. Some are right on the river. The camp sites are all clean and level and the park was easy to maneuver in. The only con to staying here is the highway and railroad noise. Personally it didn't bother me at all, but if you're someone who needs quiet to sleep you're probably not going to get the best sleep here. Overall, this is a great KOA and I would highly recommend staying here.
