Only disadvantage if your a light sleeper is that the trains come frequently and blow their horns. No dedicated parking spots for the tent sites. But great site overall

Staff was great, but I had a tent spot, and there are trains that go by all night right next to the campsite. I needed earplugs to sleep. I love KOA's but I will never camp in a tent spot on east again. Maybe a little cabin but I imagine those guys are getting rocked by the train every night too... If it wasn't right next to the active train tracks and highway it would be ranked higher..

Very well kept, clean showers and restrooms. The staff was real friendly and gave informative recommendations. Heavy commerce thru the area, recommend ear plugs or using an ambient sound device to mask the road and train noise. I’ll stay here again despite.

The staff was kind and friendly, and camp was clean. I liked the welcoming emails before my stay. The camp was quiet and bathrooms were always spotless. Thanks, we had a great time.

As a tent camper, I liked the sandy area for tents. What was not great was the 20+ stairs to get to the tent area from the parking area. Also, I didn't see any garbage cans in the east end of the site. Other downsides: Next to US 30 and near the bottom of a hill that a lot of semis use exhaust braking on; An active rail line on the other side of US 30. The shower facilities were very good.

This was a terrible camping experience for us. The was no water on Saturday morning, so we had to go to the other KOA location in town to use the restroom. Then on Saturday afternoon we were sitting by the fire at our campground near the river and there were CONSTANTLY people entering the water right through our camp literally walking within 1 foot of our tent to get into the river.

Overpriced for a small tent spot with no privacy. Restrooms were closed in the morning with water issues.

The people at KOA East are so much friendlier than West. My only complaint is that the stairs leading to T14 are a chore to load, unload etc. there was also a huge wasps nest in the tree above T15 so we were battling wasps all weekend. We will definitely be back!

This was a fantastic camp ground! We loved camping right by the river. It was nice being able to walk into town. Everything is close by. The camp grounds are nice and well taken care of and the bathrooms and showers are very clean and nice. Would definitely stay here again. My only recommendation would be to bring ear plugs for the night time. The trains and traffic are loud all night long.

It's a very nice facility and we love the #1 tent sight. The only thing I could say is that I booked online and paid for 2 cars online but they charged me for the second car a second time when I went to check in. Maybe try to change that online. Otherwise, clean, nice and close to the river!

There is a train track where a train is constantly passing my through even the middle of the night. This is not a good place for tent camping we didn’t get the site they promised us and the site we did get barely fit the amount of people we had. We were harassed by security for absolutely no reason.

The campground is beautiful and facilities clean. BUT our stay in the new tent area was subpar for the cost. We were in campsite T16, while T18 was utilizing all parking & had multiple people and tents on both T18 & site T17. They did not adhere to the quiet hours, and double parked in the designated parking area. We spoke to the front office, but I feel that it fell on def ears.

Quick overnight passing through on a road trip- I didn’t explore the area much but the KOA was pretty quiet and very clean, the bathrooms/showers were great! I’m a solo woman in my 20s and I felt safe at this spot which is always the biggest thing for me

Didn’t get the electric tenant’s we boo and had to “borrow” the rv site next to ours electric during our stay. The other people weren’t thrilled but let us. My 1st time staying at a KOA and felt like I didn’t get what I paid for

The staff, check in progress was great. The campground is very clean. The bathrooms and communal kitchen area all very well kept. Our problem was the road noise. It’s wrong not to warn guests there are train tracks across the highway which is in an incline so road noise is constant at night. Also the river is infested with green algae- is the water safe for dogs? Who knows.

First class people in the office. The grounds are clean and neat. Showers were large clean and private. The layout of the land is really cool the trees are large and provide shade. I would come and stay again and would recommend it to everyone for a great experience.

we had a tent site and i liked it but we could barely get our tent up with minimal room .we had a large mobol home on one side and a tent on the other we had no room to sit in front of our tent to relax it was like being in a parking stall for tents . anyway the employees were nice but they had no knowledge of the construction had blocked the trail to town off so we walked the highway to town.

It's a nice place. $56.00 is bit much for a tent spot, especially when I slept in my car. I was grateful I had a bathroom and water and electric. I felt safe. I was traveling alone. Thank you.

Really nice place. One minus is highway and railroad noise. I got along fine as I travel with ear plugs.

Friendly and personal service! On our second night, a group of 10+ people pitched seven tents in the two spots next to us (way over the limit). The managers quickly rectified the situation so we didn't have to drive 7 hours at 6 pm to get home. We really like the cabins and tent sites, but will try to avoid the busiest summer weekends next time.

The KOA and its facilities are very nice. There were lots of variety of places to stay for campers, cabins or few tent sites. The location is near a very loud interstate and very, very active railway, so the noise was almost unbearable if you are in a tent. I'm sure the campers and cabins have a better experience. If you are staying in a tent, bring ear plugs.

Teenage staff seemed like they were just there to collect a paycheck. Adult staff were more friendly. Tent site was okay, not great, but okay. Restrooms/showers were nice. Proximity to the highway is definitely NOT a plus. I should have thought about that before I booked a place.

The campground itself was great! The staff were super friendly and the bathrooms were amazing! I’d never seen the sink, toilet and shower in each stall. However, that train…. I know you can’t control it but complimentary ear buds would be nice. I probably got about 3 hours of off and on sleep.

Office staff are so nice and friendly and help with anything you need. This camp site is so nice and quiet and close to town. Bathrooms are beyond what you would wish for, clean spacious and very nice. Always will stay at KOA east when coming to Lava!

온천까지 걸어서 5분 정도의 거리에 있어요. 가본 캠핑장 중 가장 멋진 샤워시설을 가지고 있고, 깨끗하게 관리가 잘 되고 있습니다. 오피스와 약간 떨어져있는 자리는 나무가 작아서 그늘이 아쉽긴 해요

Really nice campground and staff. Just know that if you camp in the spring on the west side of the campground the cottonwood trees just dump fluff all over and tons of pollen. All of our stuff and inside of our trailer was covered in it. Also note that you will be right by the trains that go all night and blow their horns. Also the highway is really loud right there. Even inside our trailer we woke up multiple times from the noise. Nothing against the campground, just be prepared for sleep disruption.
