Great place to stop and take a break in Idaho. Super cute town, lava hot spring very relaxing and tubing is so fun! Campground and showers super clean and friendly staff!

It is ridiculous to charge $6.00 per dog per night. I won't be staying at this KOA ever again. I cleaned up after my dogs and brought and used my own pet bags for their waste. All the other KOA's and other RV parks have NEVER charged for pets.

The younger man at the front desk check in was very rude. We had bought a pipe for our toilet and realized it was missing the connection. When we tried to return within just minutes he said no returns rudely then we asked if we could just exchange and pay the difference for the more expensive one. He no returns. If he would have just said sorry it would have gone a long way but he was just rude.

We kept being charged for things like extra people which was disturbing. It happened twice. We paid for whom ever stayed with us

Loved the shade from trees, nice pull through spots. Grassy areas. Highly recommend. Only thing is playground needs more for kids to do.

Great campground in LAVA. Wish there was more shade on the top side of the campground, but overall we had a great experience! We come back every year!

I reserved a back in spot near the pet area but the park changed it to a pull through without my knowledge. When I asked about it at check in I was told “it’s how it is now”. It was a rude response in my view. I said I had pets but the area they put me did not have a pet area. No trees. It didn’t make sense especially when the main park had plenty of spaces.

The sites were impeccable. Bathrooms too! I really like the trail to town. Unfortunately, there were trains and semi trucks passing close by all night long.

We were able to view the 4th of July fireworks from our campsite, while enjoying our fire; up in the newer section near the laundry/bath house. We had a great time. The facilities were clean as per usual, (we've been going there for years) and this is one of the nicest KOA's. The mineral hot pools were soothing as usual. Seems like the restaurants might be improving in town. We'll be back.

Lava KOA is the best! Spacious lots, clean & maintained. Clean bathroom & showers. Very nice staff. Close to town and the river and the hot tubs and the big pool! Always a good time at this KOA! Highly recommended.

will not ever stay there again. WE BOOKED months in advance for 2 spots side by side each other for 4 nights. When we arrived they had given our pre booked sites to another guest that was only staying 2 nights. So they sacrificed a customer that had paid in advance for 4 nights for a customer staying 2 nights. one off our sites was so un level we couldn't even level the trailer

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately when reservations are booked online there is no guarantee that the sites are beside each other. We encourage guests to call the office so that we can accommodate their preferences.

Our annual Lava Hot Springs/4th of July trip was great! The campground is prettier every year. The owners are working hard to create such an attractive camp! Only problem we had was some neighbors who felt most of the camp would like their music (we didn’t), but KOA people were out and around checking on things and spoke to them. Looking forward to being there next year for more days!

I really loved the camp site but my experience was heavily lacking due to other guests and their encroachment upon our camp site. We literally had them put a tent under one of our slide outs. This really is a first world complaint and means nothing in real terms. However it does make for a poor experience, also I understand I could have spoke to them and resolved the issue. I chose not to.

Nice place… hate to see costs for RV sites and cabins continue to increase, but this is a great place for families.

My only complaint is that your neighbors power pedestal is right in the middle of your lawn and the sewer is very far away and ends up under your RV

Listening to the water and the crackle of the campfire was your heaven. The patio furniture provided gave a lovely place to sit and enjoy everything as we relaxed.

We were put in the TERRIBLE expansion lot. Loud highway on one side-lots of trucks, busy road on the other side, no big trees, strewn trash and junk from the neighboring house, sea gulls fighting over the trash.. a VERY loud train going through night and day about 30 ft away. We expected the main camp by the river when we booked. Very disappointing! We stayed one night and left without a refund.

The park is very clean and well kept. Your in ground fire pits are dangerous. There should be something covering them or around them to prevent people from falling into them when it is dark. We did have someone fall into one at night, it was just outside of the door to RV. The water man could come a little later as to not flood sites for people trying to pack up for check out. Great place to stay.

We were traveling from Oregon to Colorado. This KOA was clean and quiet. We had a beautiful site on the River. The site was within an easy walk to town and the hot springs.

The ground itself is very beautiful. What we disliked about it was all the noise from the trains that ran most nights and from the highway that’s so close to the area we stayed at.

4 nights. Great staff. Great upgraded sites all around. clean bathrooms and showers. nice people staying there as well. I would like to see trash recepticles in the older section and the playground in the newer section needs a couple more items as there were only two things there for kids to use. otherwise it's great!

Such a wonderful spot for the whole family. Couldn’t believe how clean the campgrounds and bathrooms were. Loved the patio at our RV site and the staff was amazing.

The location is great! The staff was friendly and helpful. The campsites are clean well kept. The only downside is they are too close together and no room for parking. I would have given 5 stars if the campsites gave a little room so that I didn't have to hear the nieghbors dogs winning and crying when they left them. Also could'nt have a fire as our fire pits too close to cars parked.

The campground is very pretty especially the sites next to the river. we enjoyed our stay and will come back again. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because we had my stepdaughter's birthday party and she had some friends stay and after paying the parking pass and per person charge they still had to pay for a tent and I thought that was a bit much after the cost of the site.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lava Hot Springs KOA! The campground is beautiful, the amenities are fantastic, and everything was clean and well maintained. We ended up arriving a day early and had two different campsites during our stay, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and made the transition from one site to the other incredibly smooth. Their customer service was outstanding, and we had zero problems throughout our visit. We truly enjoyed our time here and appreciated how friendly and helpful everyone was. We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Lava Hot Springs KOA to anyone looking for a great camping experience!

Great place to stay. Lots of activities around the area. Perfectly located out of the busiest areas, yet close to everything you need. Staff is great and facilities were very clean! Bathrooms are a good way to judge how well kept a place is and they're nice and clean. There is a train track that runs parallel to highway right next to the location, but nether were too much to handle.
