Very costly resort with not every site enjoyable. We sat outside our coach and had to pay monthly rate at 90.00 day almost 2000.00 mth. Train track across the street, hwy rd with 18wheelers using engine brakes constantly. Not an enjoyable stay. At least an hour and more to major attractions. Sites were nice but very noisy and much like a parking lot. We have stayed at many KOA but costly...

We had to make last minute arrangements as our original plan was impacted by the Montana fires. It was an awesome change. The campground was clean and close to the Lava Hot Springs... we spent 2 of the 3 evening in the hot springs. On sad it wasn't 3 evenings �.

I was in the ‘new’ section up the road, very nice and clean although no trees for shade like main campground, but very nice. Very convenient to everything in Lava Springs including a walking path out the back of the campground.

Apparently the locals don't enjoy the icrowds...horns honking all hours including the trains and your quiet time not being enforced...little sleep. The restroom is clean

We were 500ft away from a very active train track. 9 trains that night. Should let people know b4 they reserve. We were put out on the extension across the road. The staff were awesome exspecially when my husband got call his baby brother just passed and we had to leave a day early.

Incredibly cramped. Tiny campsites, packed in like sardines. For $125.00 it is absolutely unacceptable.

Good location, clean campground and really nice bathrooms. The bathrooms are individual so you had your own space. You could tell alot of time has been put in update and to keep the whole campground maintained. Thank you, we will make it a point to come again.

Worst KOA I've ever stayed at. First off the next morning went to the office at 8:30 to get change for the laundry (they don't have change machines) staff only had 1 roll of quarters (wash is $4.75) how far will that go. Next the train tracks are across the road and trains run day and night ( the one at 2 or 3 in the morning has engines in the front, the middle, and the end for 30 minutes.

We had a great stay at KOA Lava Hot Springs East! The location is fantastic — close to everything and easy to find. The campground itself was very clean and well-maintained, and it’s clearly set up with families in mind, with plenty for the kids to do. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. My one complaint: if you arrive before the 3pm check-in time, be prepared for some pret

Very expensive. Very nice campground a lot of truck and train noises but I know that’s something you can’t avoid, but you could make it more accommodating price wise.

I am the only one that I saw that one of the personnel felt it was necessary to take me down to my rv site to "show" me. He said he did it for everyone. Not true. I feel he showed me my site because im a woman. I was one of the first couple of people in our area of the campground. None of the rest of the people were shown to their campsite. Only i was. And he was condescending about it

we were put in overflow new area which was well maintained but we had a dog on our reservation and there is no area for him to play which is what we were expecting in the other section

Great stay! Wonderful hosts! The camp was clean and well organized. The only small drawback was the highway and train noise at night, which was easily drowned out by the a/c in my RV. I knew this before booking, so for me, it wasn’t a deal breaker. I actually like the trains going by. We had fun.

We had the misfortune to stay at the new expansion, it was a long walk to Lave Hot Springs, no shade, walking next to the highway wasn’t ideal. Camp spots were difficult for some to back into.

It was a great time plus I had locked my keys in the RV and the young man helped me find a locksmith to open the RV I was so thankful that he went out of his way to help forgot his name All the staff were friendly to us the camp grounds were nice and clean I would recommend this KOA to everyone and looking forward to next year being there keep work

We love the campsite and the campground, it is always clean and well maintained. Also rented a cabin this time for 4 nights and it was almost $1000! We have been going here for years and love it. The only downside is the prices are getting really high for everything.

We were in the extended site, which was across the hwy from the main campground. The site was new and very well kept. The unfortunate thing was that we had a window in our motorhome broke, the facility didn’t have any cameras to see who or how the window was broke. The staff is amazing and very helpful and super apologetic about the situation.

Its our all time favorite KOA it's always so beautiful and clean! The staff is always kind and attentive. Stetson was the best!! He was so helpful.

KOA was lovely on the Portneuf River, mature trees, the grounds and campsites--clean and lots of grassy area. But one surprise for us was--and every campground in the town deals with the loud noise/vibrations of the freight trains and big truck engine brakes at all hours of the day and night. But, if you don't mind the noise, tubing the river is a blast! Location is a 5-min drive to access river!

Very clean, nice sites, great little path to walk to town, WiFi worked great, very family friendly Downside- ���in is 3pm, could be packed on weekends, $6 charge per pet not disclosed until check in, hwy is very very close - traffic seemed much less at night- but definitely loud during the day, train also uber close pretty high priced but nice view if you pay extra for a river site

This is a nice campground and the people are amazing. Our only complaint was the horrific infestation of beetles. While I realize that beetles and bugs are a part of nature, it was not enjoyable with them being everywhere. For that reason only, I would probably not camp here again. For that matter, I probably won't camp anywhere in LHS.

Trains were plentiful and noisy all night long. Quiet time was not observed by a lot of campers.

Sites were too close together. Also, the in between areas was more mud/dirt then grass. Lastly the gravel sites are in need of gravel. It is mostly gone; again more mud then gravel.

The stay was great. This is a very well kept campground with friendly and helpful staff. The day we left we had trailer problems and had to wait well past check out for a tow truck. They were very accommodating and helpful.

Have stayed here 3 times. The first two times were great that’s why we booked again. This time there was a box elder bug infestation. 10’s of 1000’s of them. Asked the staff to do something about it. Received a bottle with soap and water. We fought box elder bugs all weekend. Couldn’t leave anything out, couldn’t cook outside, constantly fighting the bugs off everything.Very dissatisfied

We visited this KOA in early fall after the summer rush, so the camp ground was pretty quiet and not full of campers. Check I was a breeze and the employees were friendly and helpful. There really aren't any bad sites here. Some are right on the river. The camp sites are all clean and level and the park was easy to maneuver in. The only con to staying here is the highway and railroad noise. Personally it didn't bother me at all, but if you're someone who needs quiet to sleep you're probably not going to get the best sleep here. Overall, this is a great KOA and I would highly recommend staying here.
