I paid $233 for just one night in a deluxe cabin at Lava Hot. I find it in very poor taste to pay for an exclusive cabin, only to find that the dishes were dirty when I used them. I had to wash them before using them because they were in their place in the cabinet, but they were covered in grease. I leave all the dishes washed in the zinc, when it's not my job.

Fantastic stay! Great location, walking distance to town with a path along the river to get you there. Cabin was new and very clean. Beds and temperature were perfect and comfortable. The camp store also had everything we needed! There was a very nice dog run, kids playground, and kitchen area (for tent camping) We had a great time and can't wait to go back.

The cabin we rented was clean and the space was exactly as described. I’d give five stars if the water actually got hot and beds were even a little bit comfortable!

Such a great group of ladies in the office so helpful and friendly. A special request for my granddaughters birthday was made and they accommodated us with no problem. Would definitely stay again the campground is so clean and beautiful. Cabin L49 was clean well maintained and well stocked. So glad we came here and will be back again. Thanks!�

We enjoyed it very much. Great , couldn't get the cabin gas fireplace to work. Kinda wish there was a locking front gate as partiers and late night ppl from hot springs drive in and outconsistently weekend nights.

Please, please never hesitate to call the front desk if you have any issues. Office staff are trained to explain the steps to light the grill and would have immediately called maintenance and/or a manager to respond.

I'm sure you have heard the positives. Negatives: many of the blinds We had to open and close them by moving each individual slat. No light switch for the kitchen and sitting room as separate. The kitchen appliances WERE FILTHY DIRTY AND DISGUSTING. Frying pan, toaster and hot plate all dirty with food on them. Buy new ones yearly. Embarrasing and not in line with what we paid. Discount requested

We stayed in one of the small cabins. It was perfect for a little getaway. Super cozy and walkable distance to hot pool and restaurants. We loved our stay!

We stayed overnight, the Cabin was nice and the back deck was an added bonus. We enjoyed the Gas grill and the fire place.

We stayed in the vacation loft while the family had their RV's. What a wonderful location with a great overlook on the river and a gas fireplace. Hot shower and restroom. It was more than we expected and was a great stay. We look forward to returning and enjoying the amazing views and location.

Friendly service, cabin was clean and comfortable. I wish we had known about the walking path into town earlier. The KOA has a lot of great options to meet the criteria for your stay & I really appreciate that. I’m sure that we will visit again!

Super clean cabin, comfortable bed, and the friendly office staff made our stay! The futon bed wasn't awesome, but we survived! The campground itself is beautiful and is right next to the river. The hot pools are within walking distance to the campground, which was convenient. The train is an obvious Lava Hot Springs quirk, be prepared for it to be LOUD as it is right accross the street.

We had plenty of space for my two sons and I. It was very clean and well maintained, felt new. The staff were very kind and helpful when needed. We would go there again.

Wife and I along with kids grandkids and great grandkids rented 3 cabins overlooking the Portneouf River. Cabins were really clean and well maintained. Back patio had a propane grill, table and chair, movable fire pit. Our cabins had a queen bed and a bunk bed, shower, bathroom sink, toilet, kitchen sink, microwave, tv, coffee maker, microwave, table, chairs, heater and a.c. Very nice cabins.

Cabin extremely nice. Beautiful scenery. Comfortable amenities. One tenant, in a Semi tractor was constantly smoking on his patio, Front steps. Running the generator on his Semi for 2 to 3 hours at a time. Thus is no fault of the KOA. But if this tenant returns, you should be aware. His Semi is light blue in color. Great stay, at check in we were able to upgrade our cabin without any issues. Cabin was clean and well taken care of. Will be back for future vacations.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lava Hot Springs KOA! The campground is beautiful, the amenities are fantastic, and everything was clean and well maintained. We ended up arriving a day early and had two different campsites during our stay, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and made the transition from one site to the other incredibly smooth. Their customer service was outstanding, and we had zero problems throughout our visit. We truly enjoyed our time here and appreciated how friendly and helpful everyone was. We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Lava Hot Springs KOA to anyone looking for a great camping experience!

Great place to stay. Lots of activities around the area. Perfectly located out of the busiest areas, yet close to everything you need. Staff is great and facilities were very clean! Bathrooms are a good way to judge how well kept a place is and they're nice and clean. There is a train track that runs parallel to highway right next to the location, but nether were too much to handle.
