This was a fantastic camp ground! We loved camping right by the river. It was nice being able to walk into town. Everything is close by. The camp grounds are nice and well taken care of and the bathrooms and showers are very clean and nice. Would definitely stay here again. My only recommendation would be to bring ear plugs for the night time. The trains and traffic are loud all night long.

This campground is clean and very well maintained. Staff were PHENOMENAL during our stay. Loved every moment of the vacation. We are already planning more stays at Lava Hot Springs East. Thank you everyone!

Nice clean place to stay. Good location next to the river and very short trail walk to town and hot springs. Appreciate the large trees for shade and that they are well trimmed, taken care of and look safe. The staff texted us during our stay with an update of mosquito control from the local abatement. The staff was work on the grounds, keeping the grass trimmed and sprinklers fixed.

The highway and train noise made it hard to sleep but everything else was fantastic. Nice, clean, would stay here again.

Everyone was helpful and pleasant except for the woman who informed us at 9:51 pm there was a noise curfew. We understood the message and were grateful for her reminding us. Her approach was pleasant initially but felt passive-aggressive when she continued with her message. All other experiences were fantastic so, thank you!

While there is no hook ups, the bathrooms were nice and the location was very convenient for the Caverns.

The deluxe cabin we stayed in was very nice, but the bed was a bit uncomfortable and sweaty. We had a bit of a problem with the TV, but the staff was quick to help us and get it fixed. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The campground was nice, and they kept the facilities clean. The staff were all friendly. I feel the extra fees were pretty high and don’t plan on staying at this campsite again. There are many campgrounds out there that don’t nickel and dime you for everything. Example $6.00 a day per dog per day seems too much. This location already charges a lot more per site than most KOA and no pool, hot

We love the area. Our first campsite was awful. #213. Not level, no shade and right above a tent site with a rowdy family. Luckily they were able to move us to #85. It was great! Bathrooms are clean. Laundry facilities are good but VERY expensive. This is a wonderful campground but not budget friendly.

Andy’s Lava Hot Springs KOA is the best, because she is the best! Always accommodating and a terrific staff. We return year after year, mostly because of her and her outstanding facility. Top notch on every level!

We stay here as a large group of 30 family members every year. The camp is always in excellent condition and the staff is helpful. You'll find your camping necessities in the store. There are plenty of spots for trailers and tenting, along with cabins. The restrooms are great and they have private bathrooms with showers if you are in a tent. I highly recommend staying here!

It's a very nice facility and we love the #1 tent sight. The only thing I could say is that I booked online and paid for 2 cars online but they charged me for the second car a second time when I went to check in. Maybe try to change that online. Otherwise, clean, nice and close to the river!

Very attentive during our family reunion, 93 people. The entire family had a great time and wants to plan another reunion there in the future. The staff was very accommodating and supportive, and we can’t express enough gratitude for their hard work in taking care of us!

We had a great time. Only concerns were - Price of the Cabins. A little pricey especially when you rent 3 of them. Would love to see them be a little cheaper, but I'm sure you have no problems getting them rented for the summer. Location is noisy especially with the trains, but what can you do about that? Nothing. We had great time and will be back. Customer service was to notch. Thank you

There is a train track where a train is constantly passing my through even the middle of the night. This is not a good place for tent camping we didn’t get the site they promised us and the site we did get barely fit the amount of people we had. We were harassed by security for absolutely no reason.

The campground is beautiful and facilities clean. BUT our stay in the new tent area was subpar for the cost. We were in campsite T16, while T18 was utilizing all parking & had multiple people and tents on both T18 & site T17. They did not adhere to the quiet hours, and double parked in the designated parking area. We spoke to the front office, but I feel that it fell on def ears.

Quick overnight passing through on a road trip- I didn’t explore the area much but the KOA was pretty quiet and very clean, the bathrooms/showers were great! I’m a solo woman in my 20s and I felt safe at this spot which is always the biggest thing for me

We loved KAO East Campsite at Lava Hot Springs in Idaho! We loved how spacious it was compared to West and how clean the bathrooms and laundry facility were. The staff was super friendly and attentive! We will always be booking with KAO!

Who was really nice, but our shower did not drain very well and our barbecue we were supplied was very wobbly and the whole bottom of it is rusted out. The bed was super comfortable and it was nice having a coffee pot and microwave. And fridge.

This was our first time staying at a KOA campground and this property was very clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly. The river that runs along the property was very nice and the sound of the water was very pleasant.

We’ve been coming to this campground for years, and it just gets better every year. Beautiful new landscaping at the entrance this year. Well maintained, and a pleasant park! As we travel around the country, we describe other camping parks we stay at based on this one: “not as good” or “better than Lava.” Usually other parks aren’t quite as good as this one. Really nice campground and staff. Just know that if you camp in the spring on the west side of the campground the cottonwood trees just dump fluff all over and tons of pollen. All of our stuff and inside of our trailer was covered in it. Also note that you will be right by the trains that go all night and blow their horns. Also the highway is really loud right there. Even inside our trailer we woke up multiple times from the noise. Nothing against the campground, just be prepared for sleep disruption.
