Campsite was clean and well maintained. Employees were nice, but the constant "do this/don't do this or we'll fine you was a bit... off putting. But maybe the overall cleanliness was a result of those threats?! Overall a good experience and I'd stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay! We ended up having to use the facilities this time due to some issues with our toilet. Restrooms were clean and convenient! Staff was helpful and friendly as they always are! We will definitely be booking again next year! Thanks!

Condition of facilities exceeded expectations. Highway noise was very loud with semi jake brakes running throughout the morning, day, evening and night. Not as peaceful as what we would have liked but the cleanliness of the bath/shower house and sites made up for it. One other small negative is the $6.00 a night fee I had to pay for my ADA service dog.

We stayed in the most adorable Cabin! The facilities are kept pristine. The staff is super kind and helpful. The location is perfect and a short walk to anything you might need in town.

Beautiful scenery and very serene right on the river. I loved that it was right next to the town but it still was very secluded. Easy check in and nice amenities!

This is the best KOA we’ve stayed at, and we’ve been there twice. Our back in site was right next to the river and had a nice patio and grass. It’s only a short walk to the hot springs, raft and tube rental and restaurants. Highly recommend.

Everything was great. The staff was super friendly even helped us locate our spot. The staff in the gift shop were exceptionally polite and kind. I hate those trees, though they stick to everything and get all over the place. Very hard to get off your shoes. I’ll definitely stay here again, but not in May lol

For a short notice reservation this place was accommodating. The place was clean and the spots for large fifth wheel trailers were nice.

Beautiful area but is next to a busy road with lots of diesel truck and trailer traffic. Also across the road is train tracks with frequent train traffic.

My son had his tent in the back of the truck our first night, and it was so cold he moved it to the ground. We were charged an additional $50. The table at our camp site was teetering and unstable. The railroad tracks and traffic on the highway were loud all night long. We had a visitor for an hour in another car during our stay and the camp host came by and wanted us to pay for that vehicle.

This is a wonderful KOA in a beautiful setting along the river. The site we stayed on, is new and we'll laid out. It is very evident the owners have invested a lot of time, energy, and money in making Lava Hot Springs KOA a wonderful destination people like us want to return to year after year. All sites here are large with room to relax and not feel crowded. The staff are thoughtful/supportive,

Loved this spot! While the train was a bit to ignore - not impossible, the location and staff were fantastic! Easy walk into "down-town" and get a bite or a quick drink. While this was a one-night pass through stop, it is now on my list to go back and take time to enjoy.

Staff was friendly. We love the area. The only negative about the campground is the coast for a load of laundry $5 for a small load of laundry?!? Who knows how much it cost to dry a load. We refuse to over pay to wash our clothes.

Love the campground, its staff and its walking access to "downtown" Lava. However, virtually no one obeys the speed limit, especially those descending from the eastern most section of the campground, which creates dust in the middle section.

Only disadvantage if your a light sleeper is that the trains come frequently and blow their horns. No dedicated parking spots for the tent sites. But great site overall

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lava Hot Springs KOA! The campground is beautiful, the amenities are fantastic, and everything was clean and well maintained. We ended up arriving a day early and had two different campsites during our stay, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and made the transition from one site to the other incredibly smooth. Their customer service was outstanding, and we had zero problems throughout our visit. We truly enjoyed our time here and appreciated how friendly and helpful everyone was. We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Lava Hot Springs KOA to anyone looking for a great camping experience!

Great place to stay. Lots of activities around the area. Perfectly located out of the busiest areas, yet close to everything you need. Staff is great and facilities were very clean! Bathrooms are a good way to judge how well kept a place is and they're nice and clean. There is a train track that runs parallel to highway right next to the location, but nether were too much to handle.
