L the campground was very clean. The bathrooms were very well maintained sites were very spacious only drawback about the whole campground was the train tracks are very close, but still definitely would go back well worth the stay.

Put in a cabin with absolutely no shade. Same size cabin just down from ours next to the river with a lot of shade and set empty the whole time we were there. The umbrella for the table was broke. Notified the person on duty. Was told she would call the manager and call me back. Not one word from her. Getting packed to leave and the whole cabin filled up with sewer smell. Not good at all!

The Campground is great, well kept and clean. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the truck noise from the highway and the noise from the trains. I understand that there's not much that can be done about the noise since it's a very narrow valley. Bring earplugs for a good night's sleep!

Very nice KOA in a great location. Only downside is the noise of the road and the trains. Some pretty sites on the river.

The cabin was great. Very new and clean. We came after the season ( after Labor Day) so we didn’t get to do a lot of things there in Lava. I feel the price could have been lower than it was because of the late season, but no complaints about the KOA campground, the cabin, or the employees. Those were all great!

We stayed 7 nights. The campground is very nice and well kept. The restrooms/showers/laundry were all clean. There was a big problem with the box elder bugs. They were everywhere. Not the parks fault, good ol' mother nature and el nino. The hot springs are a must!! We will return but before I book, I'll inquire about the box elder bugs. I dont mind a few bugs but these guys were a pain.

The lodging had everything that was needed even for a party of six. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the private location. I definitely recommend to friends and family.

The campsites are very clean and well kept. The only issue is the trains going all night blaring their horns; however, that is not fault of the campground. The walk to town is very short making this a convenient place to stay.

The center pull thru sites were narrow and muddy. Also not level. Beautiful location and the near by hot springs were fabulous.

They did it again! I dropped a few silly, random requests into the comment box on our reservation—partly to see if the staff actually notices, and partly just to have a little fun with them. Not only did they notice, but they clearly put some real time, thought, and effort into making it happen. They went above and beyond and added a little extra fun and personality to our stay in Lava!

The campsite was nice enough, I just felt like it wasn't accurately portrayed online. The sites were small, not very private and not much at all of a river view. I know it's not the campsite's fault but the noise from the highway and train was awful and I couldn't sleep at all. For the price and the experience I wish we had just rented a cabin rather than the money and hassle it is to lug our RV.

Nice park with decent space spots. Place to actually park truck. Close to road and train track but otherwise very pleasant. Close to town and nice area to walk dogs.

you like a camp ground full of highway noise and a bed that is almost impossible to sleep on then this is for you. I am thoroughly disappointed with the cabin rental it has no rails around back patio maybe because you can reach out from your window and touch the other cabins and the mattress they could have splurge just a little and got a box spring or even a piece of plywood and put down because

We stayed at 4 . One thing I can't understand why we pay $3 at 1 of your stores and paid 4.80 at the second 1 for the same drink. That is ridiculous.

Place not cleaned well. Remote filthy. we needed to clean. The staff and hosts were rude and accused us of "taking the doors off the cabinets" We were misquoted on other matters. Staff often misunderstood each other and relayed our information incorrectly. We didn't receive a receipt so we don't know the amount that was charged. We were harassed about leaving and checked up on frequently.

This KOA is exceptionally maintained and is very nice. We had to issues with the road noise, that was nothing compared to the infestation of Box Elder bugs that we experienced. Supposedly, our spot and area around it had an infestation problem. We saw some bugs when we set up camp on a Monday and by Wednesday, we were infiltrated with them! We left on Thursday and we are still killing the bugs

The noise from the highway and the train tracks killed my stay. No matter how nice a place looks, when you loose a whole night's sleep and a whole day's peace, they stay was totally ruined! You owe me a refund!

My husband and I spent almost $600 for 3 days. $160 per night plus pet fees, plus extra car fees is entirely outrageous for the space. You should disclose to your guests the noisiness of the location and constant traffic between the trains and the highway. The following night we stayed at a Luvs truck stop off I-80 and it was quieter than with you. This is my first negative review of my life.

Very nice cabin plenty of room for all of us. The camp ground was clean and roomy for all vehicles. Close to town with plenty to do within walking distance. I would definitely stay there again

In photos this campground looks beautiful and it is. Its location to downtown Lava Springs is great. The problem is the unrelenting noise. We always get a patio site because they are usually a little better but this campground is right next to a very busy road with large semis that goes all night and there are many very loud (many trains). First time we ever left a KOA early.

Love this KOA. Lots to do within walking distance. Not all sites are easy to level in a class A but staff accommodated our need to change sites. Laundry prices are high so be aware if you need to use. We used the lower price public laundry near the cabins across from hot springs!

Only stayed one night in a camper cabin, but I’m very tempted to come back and stay again. Staff was great, very convenient to town as you can walk from the campground. I liked the individualized bathrooms/shower stalls. Thanks for a great stay!!

We visited this KOA in early fall after the summer rush, so the camp ground was pretty quiet and not full of campers. Check I was a breeze and the employees were friendly and helpful. There really aren't any bad sites here. Some are right on the river. The camp sites are all clean and level and the park was easy to maneuver in. The only con to staying here is the highway and railroad noise. Personally it didn't bother me at all, but if you're someone who needs quiet to sleep you're probably not going to get the best sleep here. Overall, this is a great KOA and I would highly recommend staying here.
