Our cabin (L49) was nice, but the tub did not drain properly. I requested maintenance on our third day, and again on our fourth day. The maintenance man showed up at 7 PM after my second request( over five hours after the request) my family and I were in bed so I declined the service. I was surprised that I was not offered a discount on the nightly rate given this condition. I could go on but why.

Lots of road noise but loved being close enough to the river to hear it. Bathrooms very clean, workers courteous. Only a couple of minutes from town so very convenient.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin with a queen bed and bunks. It had a full bath and kitchenette. It was very clean and comfortable. We were very impressed with the accommodations and pricing. Will recommend to friends and family and also book for future visits.

I paid for extra for a spot with a dog run since I was bringing my dogs. I arrived and the fencing for the dog run was gone as well as 2 polls were just sitting next to my camp site. Had I known I would have just reserved a site without and save the money.

De camping is mooi gelegen en de voorzieningen zijn goed. Helaas is de herrie van de trein en de weg naast de camping heel erg. Als de KOA medewerkers dan ook al vlak na 8 uur in de ochtend het gras moeten gaan maaien, net naast je raam heb je het wel even gehad met je vakantiedrukte.

Our stay was great. I realize the road construction is not your fault, but it would have been nice to know abouy it, because it made the stay a little less enjoyable. The noise and trying to get in and out of the park. If I would have known I would have tried to book on the west side.

The trains are a killer to the camp vibe. If I would have known they were so close as well as the construction, I would’ve stayed some where else. Waking up on a Saturday to jack hammers wasn’t fun.

Staff and facility was very nice, clean and well taken care of. Not much space between regular cabins, but we had a great river & waterfall view. Cabin was immaculate and shower was great. Large bed was very soft and the bunk beds were very hard, but a great stay overall.

We enjoyed our stay, it just seemed really expensive for what it was. The fact that we brought our own RV, shower, shade, etc. and still paid a lot just to park. Would be nice to have spots without hookups that were less expensive.

Nice and well maintained campsite. Clean bathrooms/showers. Right by the river. Only downside is it's near the main road and RR track, but the whole tiny town is the same way since it's located in a very narrow valley. Not much the KOA can do about that!

Very relaxing! Love being right by the river! The lodges are clean and comfy! My only complaint is they are a little expensive!

We had no idea this was an oasis! The RV spots by the water were terrific. If I had to change anything, it would be the extra pet fee, but I do understand why you do it.

Overpriced. Plus very loud construction that started at 5 am just a few feet from our cabin. We weren't made aware is this beforehand and we would not have stayed here with our infant child is we would've known.

Amazing stay! Beautiful campground with cabins that weren't scary and mattresses that are completely zipped up, so no creepy crawlys. Everything is in walking distance and the amenities are fantastic!

Cabin was new and clean, mentioned it slept 6, more like 4 to 5. 2 people could not sleep on futon. Liked the space between cabins, and little private areas. Family had a great time

Everything was amazing, the staff, the campers and mostly the maintenance of the RV park. Only thing bad was the construction as you left the park.

Stayed in the new area above the restrooms and the noise of the road with trucks all the time and the trainers made it feel like we were camping in a rest stop on the freeway. Camp was very clean and restrooms were well taken care of.

Beautiful, clean park with lush greenery. Great for relaxing or activities. Sadly, it’s next to a main road & train tracks. Constant traffic & train noise, day & night, ruins the calm. Noise is my only issue, but it’s why I give it a low rating. If noise bothers you, try a quieter park.

The RV Park is located on the Portneuf River. A significant number of the sites back up to the river. Most of the the sites have have paved patio areas with table and chairs. The park was very well maintained and the staff was helpful. The only downside it is close to a highway and a railroad track just on the other side of the highway. It was very good. We really liked that we had a use if to wash my pans and others. We liked that you have fantastic workers. Our person who did the beginning of our stay. He also told us about the road issues. It made us know that we need to be thinking about knowing that we have to be careful. We also were the clear in the bathroom so clean! The only was that we were not told about the train...

We had such a great experience! We stayed at #100 and #101, conveniently located next to the showers and the store with ice, firewood and candy lol. The site looks down on the the river and the sound of the waterfall was very soothing. The campsite is right next to the highway and railroad so there is road noise. But overall, it's very clean and family-friendly. The hosts are pretty chill too.

This is a great KOA. It looks brand new. Good sites. Good Bathhouse. Dog park and play ground. The only negative is the proximity to the main road.

We love staying here, in site 97. However, few guests drive the speed limit and the primary road of the middle section is very dusty. A year or so ago, the primary road was sprayed with something that dramatically reduced the dust.

Nice and clean. Does not have a pool but short walk to hot springs. We stayed in newer area where trees were not very big and it was really hot during the day.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lava Hot Springs KOA! The campground is beautiful, the amenities are fantastic, and everything was clean and well maintained. We ended up arriving a day early and had two different campsites during our stay, but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and made the transition from one site to the other incredibly smooth. Their customer service was outstanding, and we had zero problems throughout our visit. We truly enjoyed our time here and appreciated how friendly and helpful everyone was. We will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Lava Hot Springs KOA to anyone looking for a great camping experience!

Great place to stay. Lots of activities around the area. Perfectly located out of the busiest areas, yet close to everything you need. Staff is great and facilities were very clean! Bathrooms are a good way to judge how well kept a place is and they're nice and clean. There is a train track that runs parallel to highway right next to the location, but nether were too much to handle.
