Land Between The Lakes

Land Between The Lakes is a 170,000-acre national recreation area in western Kentucky and Tennessee offering a wide range of outdoor activities for the family. One of the many things to see here is the Homeplace, a working 19th century farm. Most of the crops and livestock are historic varieties from the mid-19th century, grown and harvested using period tools and techniques. Join the interpreters on guided hikes into the forest of Land Between The Lakes or get an up-close encounter with one of the Backyard residents at the Nature Station.
Enjoy the drive-through Elk & Bison Prairie, which is a restoration of the region's original prairie habitat where you can watch bison grazing on native prairie grasses, or hear the bugling of elk.
