great park,great stay. Only down side/ dislike is location of dump station ( on hill). really bad design and location. does not allow for full dump of gray water and sewer. congests the entry/exit of park.

This was my 5th year to stay at KOA Herkimer for 4th of July with family and friends. Always a great time. Fun activities for the kids and the Tubing is always fun.

What an amazing campground. Grounds are well kept and lots to do. Such an amazing place for kids. I wish I knew of a place like this when my kids were younger!! Main area of campground is hopping with lots going on. Food, drinks, music, games, the river is also fun and refreshing. We stayed on the new mountainside area which is serene, beautiful and private. Great walking/hiking spaces.

We were happy with your entertainment this year. I think the waterslide is definitely a better idea than the bounce house. I would like to see the portable tank emptier available again. That was a service that was exceptional to the campers not in full hookup if staying for an extended period of time. I def think you would benefit from offering this service and advertising it as such. Thanks.

Our first stay at a KOA so we don’t have another KOA to compare it to but it was a very nice campground. We loved their garden area, very inviting and comfortable!

this is a very nice KOA, however I'm giving it a 2 in hopes of the management resolving an issue I had. We arrived on July 4th, the campground was packed, Kids and cars everywhere. However when you are driving a 45 foot motorhome pulling a car a crowded poorly signed campground is trouble. They need more signage and should escort you. it was dangerous. Others said same.

Stayed 4th of July weekend on the new mountainside rv spots. They were very nice lots, however the sewer was a little high on our specific space but we made it work. Took a walk down around the original camping area on the river. Far too busy and crowded down there. Very happy we did the mountainside camping where you are spread out more and it was peaceful.

It was beautifully maintained, the diamond mining will be forever cherished memories for my family, tubing was so much fun! It's more expensive than other campgrounds but that's because you're paying for a lot more- destination vacation. One big complaint- the bathroom nearest to us showers were closed for most of our stay and that was infuriating for the price of the stay.

The stay was wonderful. The staff was wonderful. The only issue we had was the repair of the womens showers being done at the most inconvenient times. We had to walk all the way to the front of the campground to use the bathroom and shower. There was no times of the repairs posted.

The campground is beautiful, but the road going up the Mountainside was not good. Rough on the RV and our towed vehicle

The campground was very clean. It was huge. It was on both sides of the street. The one across the street you had to go up a huge gravel road. My only thing I recommend is to put a KOA sign on opposite side of street since we missed the turn to get to our campsite.

The front desk and the workers are very helpful and friendly. I had to changed my site at the last moment and they were able to help me do that. The golf carts were awesome. Very clean and well kept grounds.

The path to the water was not weedwacked like years past, the bathrooms were very dirty, we did notnhave a picnic table at 1 of our sites, the bench on the other picnic table was all bent and you couldnt sit on it. There was 3 huge holes dug in the middle of the site. We were very disappointed this year. This is a yearly trip for us and we may not book again because of how down hill things got.

Bathrooms need some serious work. The showers were closed in men's bathroom and the bathrooms themselves were very filthy all weekend. Bugs and spiderwebs were everywhere which was not the case about 4 years ago when we here last. Very disappointed since this is the most expensive KOA we've stayed at by far - not worth it and won't be back.

Lovely campground. I wish their dining facility was open daily because we seem to keep missing it when we visit. The park is lovely and well maintained. Lots of open spaces to walk and see the West Canada Creek

While the amenities in the main campground looked great, we were placed in the mountainside area. Being across the street, having to drive up an extremely bumpy road, access to any amenities required getting in the truck and driving down. It is not easily walkable to the main area. In addition, the attendant did not offer to have someone initially take us to our site. I had to ask. Disappointed.

We arrived on Saturday 6/21 and woke on Sunday to enjoy our coffee and breakfast outside at campsite. we were greeted with a gas powered hedge trimmer for quite a while. We called the front office and was approached by a gentleman that said the grounds work needed to be done (on Sunday at 9:30 - !0 am. Right next to our camper when the other camp sites were empty. This was only the beginning

Overall, the KOA was not bad. The site I was at. #84. It was quite narrow. The view was very nice. But the TT next to us was really close to us. And I had to move our class A around a bit to get enough space for the slides and awning room to open. There are trees on both sides of the pad. The grounds were very well kept. And the other campers were courteous and respectful.

We were only staying the night, instead of putting us I. A “ground” level site we were shipped across the street up a steep gravel wash up road in our motorhome towing a jeep. We were away from laundry, pool…and we paid a lot for about 11hours.

Great campground, we'd come back in a heartbeat. Love the common area with food/ice cream trailers and yard games. River sites are awesome, just watch for the poision ivy on the banks!!!

We've been coming to Herkimer for 30 plus years. There is nothing better to sit by the creek with your feet up and a good book. The facilities are always clean and there is always something new every year.

Friendly staff and clean grounds. We stayed in the newer area of the park that is a large, recent expansion. Site was modest in size but we had no neighbors. The site was also a bit less than level. Possibly due to ground settling on this newer site. Be warned that the newer sections are accessed by a rather sttep gravel road. Be sure your tow vehicle is up to the task.

Plenty of things to keep the kids of all ages occupied, staff was extremely friendly and eager to help and joke with us. Will definitely be on our return to list!

the campground was neat and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. Something needs to be done about people driving too fast in the campground We were on site 64 and cars and campers were costantly driving by our site at a rate of speed that was definitely well above the posted campground speed limit!

Reservations on line was not very easy. When we got to the check in desk, we were not even close to what we reserved and quite a walk away from family. You can no longer book at the desk.

This camp ground is beautiful and immaculate. The facilities are very well maintained nice store events happening on the weekends. We were put in a site on what is called mountain side across the street and up a hill very peaceful gorgeous views. Although very nice we were completely separated from the activities at the lower camp ground. We love the sounds of children playing people visiting so

We have stayed at the campground several times. The landscaping is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. The only complaint we have is almost every visit a fire has been started by the staff over by the pavilion and it is left to smolder and stink from its smoke. Very annoying when you have your windows open or want to sit outside

We reserv golf cart , but later told, we can't have it cross the road. The pool super cold. 2 restaurants in the mining video,both were closed. Amenities weren't explained at check in and many amenities listed on your website were unable to enjoy due to not being told about and/or closed. For a resort, we are very unhappy. A partial refund would be greatly appreciated.

Beautiful area on “The Mountainside Campground”, with spacious sites, great landscaping at each site and nice views of the ponds. My wife’s favorite spot and close in the running with my “first”.

It’s a lovely resort. We maintained and lots to do. Only negative is water pressure in showers is very low. Surprised as everything else was very nice.

Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
