Clean campground, with lots to do. Even though it rained everyday the kids played hard and had a blast! The mining across the road was a little different. I wish the website was a little more clear, I felt that was a lot of money for the little the kids got out of it. And I paid for my 4 yr old and myself and we didn’t even walk into the mining area. Great stay though! Will be back!

We have been to this KOA several times in the past. I am not sure what happened as far as pricing, the rate seem to have nearly doubled.

Unfortunately, there was a Montessori school that rented the campground. The children were unruly, the adults disrespectful of other campers. KOA staff left early. River and mine are nice amenities. Neighbors sewer was next to our deluxe patio, no landscaping to buffer view.The food trailers are great! Pool needs heater since it’s a resort. Patio furniture needs upgrade. Disappointing vacation!

Stayed in new area. I think this was opened too soon. Lot was not level from front to back or left to right. No bath house in new area yet. rest room was a temporary building that would lock behind you. no paper towels or hand dryer. the older part of the campground looked good, should have stayed there.

The staff in the store were amazing. So kind and friendly. We throughly enjoyed the clean, well maintained KOA. Highly recommend to family with children. Our 4 had so much fun!

The Herkimer KOA was delightful - All the staff were friendly and helpful;. The sites were clean (minus the goose droppings). Something for everyone of all ages - we had a group of 30 in cabins, tents and camper sites. I love the new Scoops ice cream stand too.

Only thing that was bad was being woke up at 3 in the morning to a drunk domestic dispute that lasted almost 2 hours

they were so accommodating we got mixed up on our reservation on what kind of sites we needed and they up graded us a no charge . this place is out standing. if i could i would give them 10000 stars

We arrived late and were a bit confused where our site was and were rescued by management who took us to our site himself even though it was after hours. We stayed at the new area which is lovely. In fact the whole KOA camp is amazing!! This KOA is one of the most beautiful and well maintained locations were have ever stayed at and the Herkimer mine attraction and store-well what can I say-WOW!

Very nice. A true resort. Would have been better with a hot tub (hint, hint). Fix the 3 of 6 broken dryers and consider new.appliances that take credit card instead of quarters.

The rv park was beautiful and very clean. The staff that checked me in was not very friendly or nice. She didn’t even make eye contact with me.

We had an excellent time at Herkimer KOA. There were several activities for the kids and the new design of the "action" area is beautiful. Thank you for a great stay.

We were in the new section up on the hill. Roads were in rough shape - very dusty!!! Sites were beautiful and big. Would have liked to had shuttle service going between main campground and new section at least on weekends. Hoping to see a dog park up there in the future.

We have to many negative comments for this extremely small space! Extremely small space just like the campsite we stayed in because someone decided appearance and the landscaping that consumed the majority of our campsite was more important than happy campers!! Not returning anytime soon!

The staff was very friendly and worked with us to change campsites. The campgrounds are well maintained and there’s plenty to do in the area. I would recommend anyone to stay at the KOA’s campgrounds. We had an awesome time!!

The staff were much friendlier than the last couple years. The live music was a great addition. I wish the lawn would have been mowed before we arrived, it was to my calves in some areas. The pricing is outrageous, our visits have decreased from 4x to 2x a year.

We stayed for 3 nights and our grandchildren had a great time. There was plenty for them to do and the campground was clean and very well maintained. Staff was always available, would highly recommend

Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. Most often offering that "extra" step to make guests feel valued. (Wood delivery, escort to campsite upon checkin) the activities were great and the amenities are super. But your staff is top notch and should be recognized.

Stayed twice in my travels up north. Once along the main office and store and once along the river. They seem to have issues from travelers letting their furry friends make deposits anywhere they travel along. And our Canadian feathered friends enjoyed doing the same along the river area. So it was interesting to say the most for watch where you walk. Other then that it was your average Koa.

Loved the campgrounds. Just beautiful. Loved shopping at mineral store across the street. The only downside is we enjoy watching our TV. Without cable it was a bummer. We assumed there was cable. We were very disappointed to find no cable.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Nice, clean , modern and well maintained campground. The dump station is on an incline and we didn’t get a full dump. Otherwise this is one of the best campgrounds we’ve ever stayed at. Lots to do!!! We like it so much we’ve decided to cancel our site at Lake George to come back in two weeks.

Disappointed in site 210, water was terrible, ran it for 15 minutes and it would not run clear, and the sewer cap impossible to remove. Thank you for letting us move to site 70, water was clear, and sewer cap was easy to remove.

2nd time here, great as usual! We love this scenic campground and our dog loves swimming in Splash Alley. Beautiful sites and grounds. We’ll be back again!

Cabins come with luxury items including mini heater, dorm room fridge with freezer, Roku TV. Nice outside barbecue and fire pit for each site. There are tent locations plus RV hookup spots. Right across the street from the Herkimer diamond mine. So those that visit the mine can also walk from the campsite straight to the mind. Decent amount of tent sites and cabins directly adjacent to the park as well as restroom area. And find out away from the main road not to hear the hustle and bustle of the mine.

What an amazing team lead by Rebecca! Cannot say enough about the service we received from everyone! We attended for a scout weekend and brought 46 scouts, leaders, and family. We were in several tent sites, 10 cabins, and 4 RV sites. They were very responsive to our wood needs (28° degree night). Had events Saturday. Grounds were well maintained, restrooms and showers were clean, and parking was close! We will return. Thank you to all.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at the Herkimer Diamond KOA (Kampgrounds of America) Resort. We only stayed one night mid October 2024 towards the end of the season, and it was so much fun we didn't want to leave! Located in the heart of the Mowhawk Valley, HDKOA Resort is a great place to stay when you're visiting the Herkimer Diamond Mines, which is conveniently located directly across the street from the resort. The price per night will vary based on how many nights, time of year and season. There is an outdoor pool and public restrooms with two showers and the staff work hard to maintain it's cleanliness. You will need to book a reservation online or on the KOA app and the prices will vary depending on where you stay and what amenities you choose to pay for. We stayed in a pod and it had 4 full size beds, 3 electrical outlets, air conditioner and a heater, a mini fridge and not much space. There are cabins you can book with their own bathrooms, shower and kitchen but they are pricey. You can pitch a tent on one of their tent sites or hook up an rv on one of their many RV sites. There's even a tree house like cabin you can rent but again, very pricey. The gift shop here is pretty large and sells all of your camping needs including bug spray, fire wood, lanterns and even blankets. The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable and are very helpful. They hold seasonal events for campers during the day and night and the kids and the Adults always have a great time and have many cherished memories that will make any childhood so much better. You will love your stay at KOA ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
