Our tent site was fine, just disappointed in the way events are held (under the tent vs. in the pavilion), and no pancake breakfast or ice cream social. Especially on the 4th of July weekend!

Tent camped for three nights, four days. Campsite was clean. Views and access West Canada Creek were amazing. Staff was friendly and attentive. Onsite events for families and children were fun. Only recommendation is to put showers/bathrooms closer to tent sites and plant more grass on tent sites for better padding under the tents. Overall great stay!

For koa's having 3 levels of stays journey, holiday and resort,doesn't live up to be considered a resort. Tent site very beautiful the grounds beautifully kept. bathrooms not very family friendly as in being able to clean children at the same time. pool was nice just cold. Playground is beat up some things broken. Mining discount was not great. Staff doing kids acti. talked poorly of their jobs

This was our 3rd time camping at Herkimer KOA. We always have a great time. The bathrooms are so clean and we appreciate that being tent campers. Shout out to the staff! Check in and check out was easy and friendly.

First time staying at a KOA and we were impressed with the helpful staff. The whole campground was beautifully landscaped and all facilities were clean. Will definitely return to other KOA sites and recommend to friends and family.

The site we were at was littered with dozens of rusty nails and an old tire. When I mentioned this to the front desk, they said they would have someone out to clean it up, but they didn't seem interested in doing anything to make up for the site condition.

Beautiful site with lots of greenery. I would like to see more signage and information from KOA about your sustainability practices, do you refrain from using pecticide and ferilizer? Do you use native plants for garden beds? Low flow toilets? River safe soaps and cleaners? Can you provide composting? Sustainability lesson? Thanks!

From the moment that I arrived everyone was absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed a nice big tent site with electric right along the beautiful sound of the flowing river. The campsite was in immaculate condition. I will most definitely be back. also, the digging for the World Famous Herkimer Diamonds was exhilarating.

This was my first stay at a KOA CAMPGROUND! They are pros. I feel spoiled for other camping sites now. The attention to detail, the OUTSTANDING customer service, the friendly staff and the beautiful campground itself all made this a trip to remember! I will be coming back! I come to the campground couple times a year. I usually stay in the cabin always had a good experience on this trip. I got a tent site with no hook ups. I was very disappointed. The area was flooded. The ground was soaking wet and full of geese feces that I ended up just sleeping in my truck cause I didn’t wanna ruin my tent the campground was empty. It would’ve been to be put on a dry servic

Liked everything except the fact that on our first night they checked someone in at 11:30pm so we were woken up to banging and clanking and profanity being shouted by this individual as he set his tent up without a light so he turned his car on in front of OUR site not his and had the lights shining right on our tent. Livid is an understatement. There’s more. But no room to type

We have been going to Herkimer KOA for over 30 yrs. We use the tent sites. We started going with our children and now we are taking our grandchildren. We love the tubing and the kids can play without any worries. Great family time.

This place was great! The entire camp is set up perfectly and conveniently and every one of the staff are very pleasant and helpful. We didn't know about all of the family activities so they were a bonus and our kids had an amazing time!

Overall a great stay. Friendly and helpful staff members made it fun for our children with lots of activities. The only issue that was an inconvenience is the bathroom plumbing issues during the weekend. Fir the past 4 years that we have stayed, the bathrooms and showers were overloaded causing plumbing issues. We enjoyed our stays regardless. Thank you

We loved the Creekside Tent sites! The site was large with plenty of shade trees and direct access to the creek. We were there Sun.- Tues. and it was nice and quiet, but still had fun activities. Staff was amazing! Food and ice cream on site was a huge plus. Some wear and tear on facilities is showing. The river tubing was a big hit!!

The website states that there is only 1 tent per tent campsite. However, when we arrived, there were sites with multiple tents stacked on the very small sites. Also, the neighboring site that had 3 tents stacked also had taken our picnic table. The staff did bring us another one right away, which was nice. Now had we known we could have had multiple tents we would have had other family join.

The campground was great except the hour's of the store should be later. Also tried going to the ice cream truck was supposed to be open till 9:00 we got there at 8:40 it was closed

We had an excellent time, unfortunately we arrived late and were up very early to mine, but we had SO much fun. The facilities were clean, staff was awesome and we will definitely be back! Our stay was short but we made the most of it! The river floating was a blast. The kids loved all the different activities that were provided. Campsite is very clean and staff is friendly. We will definitely be back!

Tent sites are too packed. Too close. With no buffers(bushes,trees) If you’re coming here to relax don’t do it. Great circus like environment for children most definitely. Plenty to do for kids! Not a place for singles or just couples. Staff were nice.

Every KOA employee that we encountered was very friendly and extremely helpful and informative. The property was clean and very well maintained. The campsite itself was perfect for us; level, quiet, and shady. I would highly recommend this campground for single campers, couples, or families. Next time, I'll reserve in advance and stay in a cabin. Or better yet, the treehouse!

Had a great time! The rain was a downer but there was so many activities and were able to enjoy our awesome campsite. The pool was freezing and my kids were really looking forward to swimming. The creek was a blast though!

Everyone there was very helpful and kind. My son loved all the activities. We tented and the site was kept up well. My car would not start so the KOA staff helped to jump start my car.

We loved the atmosphere there. Staff were all very cheerful and loads of smiles! I plan on coming back for a longer stay. The tent sites were very well kept. And tons of activities for my grandson to do. My only complaint was that there was no coffee made in the store and I had to go to town to get coffee. Also the second night there a family of 7 was put next to us. They were loud past midnight.

Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
