This was my favorite place so far. Staff was helpful and the place is gorgeous.

We brought 3 BSA Scout troops. The campground was amazing. The price was even lower at checkout. The staff was amazing and accommodating the fact we added 10 more people the day before we arrived.

The staff were all very kind and customer service focused. We will be back and will tell our friends about this excellent resort.

sites are a little close together, and the listings say "electricity" is included with the site however there is not a single outlet. We could have prepared better if we knew the site was incorrect.

We had a great time. The facilities were fantastic and there were nice touches everywhere. The only downer was that the shower was cold on the first night, but after mentioning it to the front office, it was remedied.

had a great time. the only thing i would complain about is the kids activities, each one we tried to attend on Thursday there was no one there for, we wanted to do the crafts and stood around for 10 mins or so and no one showed up with any crafts.

I will start with the pros of our stay. The site was very nice. Being right on the water was ideal and the size of the site was great. That is the end of the pros. When we arrived, we found that our site obviously had not been cleaned. The fire pit had not been cleaned out. While we were camping, they decided to mow the lawns which meant that, at best, it was spot mowed. I did not appreci

Cool spot. The bathrooms were disgusting. And they were far from tent sites.

great property AND>>>> The KOA in Outter banks gave texts updates for arrival and activities for the day while on site, as well answered questions via text aas needed.. I received ZERO commuincation about arrival or activities while on site.

Great place with the exception of the bathrooms. There were no wheelchair accessible stalls for men. That really made it difficult, and I had called prior to coming and was assured that the bathrooms were wheelchair accessible.

The staff was very friendly upon our arrival. We had our first experience with camping in the rain, and unfortunately, due to more severe incoming weather we decided to pack up a day early. The bathrooms were clean, the camp store was well stocked, and we only wish we could have stayed longer. The site was beautiful along the creek, we just wish they didn't feel so crowded.

Had to wait over 2 hours for them to fix our electric when we first arrived. Staff member was staying at the site next to us and was loud and shining lights until midnight when quiet hours are 10pm. Said staff member was also cutting through our campsite at night very close to our tent. On last night staff were doing fast circles around the dumpster while I was trying to throw garbage out.

We are not used to camping at places where sites are so close together with limited privacy in between. However the river side tent sites were lovely to camp at, peaceful large and well maintained. The amenities provided by the resort were also much loved by all the children in the group. It was also a treat to watch the children’s karaoke and have ice cream in the beautiful communal garden.

I rented a tent site and I also rented a cabin up the road cause of the rain that was forecasted. Good thing I did. It would have been a wet weekend if we stayed there and tented

Likes: activities. Store had many greta items. Right on interactive creek. They moved us when we asked Dislikes: sites are WAY to close together. neighbors were playing loud music. Not all tent sites had fire pit/ring. they supposedly offer wood and fire delivery but when we tried they didnt. And theres only one way in and out of camping area. Only 2 bathrooms and the one near us was out of orde

This is a large, clean and quiet resort. The park was well maintained and very family friendly. Many things for the kids to do and the river is beautiful.

Besides the tornado and rainstorms both nights, this place is great. We had to drag the kids away from mining for diamonds. The river ride was great and the rapids were fun (if it was a little deeper we may have less bruises on our bottoms but that didn't stop us from going down the river 20 times!) Th camp site was big enough for our 3 tents and plenty of room for all of us around the fire ring.

We only spent two nights there. Most of the tent sites were very close together and my spouse was unwilling to stay at the site I reserved. KOA kindly upgraded our spot to a deluxe tent site which gave us more room. Unfortunately, there was little to no camping etiquette & lots of people walked right through our site. There was also a loose dog strolling through. No soap in the soap dispenser

Very scenic. Very quiet

Prices have gone way up and sites are packed in to close together and musician didn't even show up to play and cancelled

Site 100 was littered with trash on the ground including paper towels off near the brush (toilet paper). I cleaned the entire site during my stay and again before checkout. I have stayed here for many many years and this was my worst experience. My grandson got a human bite in the bounce house (there is a report). Neighbors up past 2am loud music every night. My tent was thumping. I got zero sleep

Clean bathrooms. We love tubing in the creek and love the proximity to the Diamond Mines and Miners Table. The beer garden with food, ice cream, and live music was a great upgrade. Weather wasn’t nice so we left early so the staff refunded us the extra day. Highly recommended!

When the noisy people came in after the sun was setting and they were up to 2am that ruined our morning the following day that we needed to leave, strict rules need to be in place that new people coming in need to abide by, lights out by 10 or they will be asked to leave no refunds or fine them something….check in should be no later than 5pm….

Obviously invested $ into this KOA. Our site, on the river, was amazing. Bathrooms were decent. After traveling 12 hrs by motorcycle, in record breaking heat, we were disappointed to discover that by 8 pm, the pool had already closed for the day. The hours said “until dusk,” which was arguable. We were forced to book a 2 night min. stay even though we needed 1 and there were many open sites av

2 nights in June. I attended for the diamond digging Positives; -River is nice to sit by/float on -Diamond mine is great to visit and dig in. -Very large open space Negatives; -Nearby trailer had a racist flag hung on their site, why would the park allow this? -Star gazing ruined by trailer lightbar that lit up the field. When I spoke to park staff about it they did not assist with my conc

Staff members were friendly and accommodating. The campground is in a great location!

Of course, you already know that the sites are way too close together, and, compared to a State-run campsite, prices are too high. We didn't appreciate having to walk always trying to dodge poop on our site. And do you not ever rake the leaves??? We did like watching the river and the tubers. As a side note, why on earth would you not carry Herkimer KOA campsite magnets???

Always a great time. Looking to come back again this year and make a longer trip next year!

It was a busy weekend, but the accommodations were all up to par and the facilities were kept tidy. Staff was pleasant!

We booked a tent site right on the Mohawk River. We had a great time. The staff were very helpful, the entire place was spotless. This was a very family friendly place and even so, it was very quiet. It rained and our site drained marvoulusly! The only thing I might improve upon us the bath house. It was spotless but, one floor drain on the women's side leaks sewer gas. Still 15/10!

We come every year for Memorial Day weekend. This year there seemed to be a lot of families that had issues tubing down the river. More signage helping people determine where to get out and keeping people clam would be helpful. Also the people staying in the last site next to splash ally were very rude to those of us that were playing in the river with out kids.

Had an amazing time with my family and friends this past weekend. A lot of activities for the kids and the lounge area for the adults was definitely nice. The creek tubing behind the campground was a welcomed amenity as well. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Only thing I wish we had was water at our tent sites as cleaning dishes would be easier. Definitely returning!

Our tent sites very roomy and close to other facilities. Fire rings on the ground and being able to walk to the Diamond Mines a plus. Variety of planned activities and other things to do like gaga ball, disc golf, etc were great for kids. Little difficult to find water spigot for filling water coolers. Store ran out of pain relievers. Wish car parking was closer to tent sites for convenience

Cabins come with luxury items including mini heater, dorm room fridge with freezer, Roku TV. Nice outside barbecue and fire pit for each site. There are tent locations plus RV hookup spots. Right across the street from the Herkimer diamond mine. So those that visit the mine can also walk from the campsite straight to the mind. Decent amount of tent sites and cabins directly adjacent to the park as well as restroom area. And find out away from the main road not to hear the hustle and bustle of the mine.

What an amazing team lead by Rebecca! Cannot say enough about the service we received from everyone! We attended for a scout weekend and brought 46 scouts, leaders, and family. We were in several tent sites, 10 cabins, and 4 RV sites. They were very responsive to our wood needs (28° degree night). Had events Saturday. Grounds were well maintained, restrooms and showers were clean, and parking was close! We will return. Thank you to all.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at the Herkimer Diamond KOA (Kampgrounds of America) Resort. We only stayed one night mid October 2024 towards the end of the season, and it was so much fun we didn't want to leave! Located in the heart of the Mowhawk Valley, HDKOA Resort is a great place to stay when you're visiting the Herkimer Diamond Mines, which is conveniently located directly across the street from the resort. The price per night will vary based on how many nights, time of year and season. There is an outdoor pool and public restrooms with two showers and the staff work hard to maintain it's cleanliness. You will need to book a reservation online or on the KOA app and the prices will vary depending on where you stay and what amenities you choose to pay for. We stayed in a pod and it had 4 full size beds, 3 electrical outlets, air conditioner and a heater, a mini fridge and not much space. There are cabins you can book with their own bathrooms, shower and kitchen but they are pricey. You can pitch a tent on one of their tent sites or hook up an rv on one of their many RV sites. There's even a tree house like cabin you can rent but again, very pricey. The gift shop here is pretty large and sells all of your camping needs including bug spray, fire wood, lanterns and even blankets. The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable and are very helpful. They hold seasonal events for campers during the day and night and the kids and the Adults always have a great time and have many cherished memories that will make any childhood so much better. You will love your stay at KOA ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
