I only have 4 stars for 1 reason. I would have gave 4.5 but that wasn’t an option. There are no speed bumps and people came ripping through at 30 mph. Even employees. There needs to be speed bumps or the speed limit needs to be enforced. Give people a warning and if they do it again kick them Out. We have children and there are children all over the campground. Speeding is unacceptable!

brought our 7 year old grand daughter. She loved it and was very happy with the sluice because it was easy to find the rocks. digging and breaking rocks was also a good way to tire her out!

Good experience. Had 4 grand children. 2 at a time. Stayed with us. Very nice facility. Solar cover would help pool keep a little warmer.

Very nice campground. Plenty of things to do for adults & kids. Restrooms & sites were clean. Very pretty sites along the river and tubing is also an option. Employees friendly & helpful.

I like the updates to the campground and really like what is trying to be done. The activities side seems very unorganized. We also miss having the playground by the main office.

We enjoy the grounds and the tubing and pleasant staff. Unfortunately, this time we stayed with a water hookup site the water smelled like plastic. We wound up using bottled water to drink and wash with. The smell would linger on your hands. And we had to flush our camper pipes when we got home :(

I am not sure why I received this email because we did not end up staying at your campground because when we arrived the campsite that we were assigned was not big enough for our camper and we couldn’t back in to make it work because the electric and water were on the incorrect side. We did receive a full refund, which was nice, but very disappointing that we couldn’t stay there.

A great place to stay for families. The activities for the kids are fantastic and the staff is always amazing.

Love coming to this campground. The creek that you can tube down, is the best part! They also have many activities for the kids.

We loved this place! The campsite was clean and easy to access, the facilities were clean and well stocked, most of all however was the staff! What an amazing team! Smiles and folks that look you in the eye and were not too busy to assist! We cannnot wait for a return visit!

We had a great stay, as always at a perfect site on the bank of the creek. The KOA staff was friendly and helpful and we met some great fellow campers. Love the new ‘Retro Park’ addition and we enjoyed some ice cream from Scoopers’ wagon. Took a walk to check out mines and new campground area. Looks great. Looking forward to our next stay.

due to flooding on july 11th we were unable to get to the grounds , i called and left a message as no one answwered the phones i left a message telling them we were cancelling and we were still charged for a stay that we didn't have i will be contacting my bank to protest this charge it wasn't my fault the area flooded

Easy access to my campsite, super friendly employees, very clean. Always seeing associates cleaning, picking up litter, answering any questions regardless how menial. Very pleasant stay.

Very responsive operators. We had a broken picnic table and they were changing it out within an hour of telling them. Store was well stocked. Will return.

THis is a beautiful campground with amazing landscsping. the staff are very helpful and attentive to detail. Great for families.

Site next to the river was amazing! The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and mining across the street. Unfortunately the river was too high from recent flooding/rain so we weren't able to tube. The food truck was a nice bonus and very reasonable.

We where sent an email that the section we wanted to stay in was not available. AFTER we had started our trip. A week before our reservation. NO phone calls. I requested a return phone call twice by email. Staff was very nice when we got there. We where put in a "buddy" space which was terrible for us. There was goose poop everywhere. The dumpster lids where always open. There was filth.

No doubt one of the prettiest KOA's. Very clean. So many things for the whole family to do. A variety of different ways to enjoy camping here, whether you RV, tent or glam.

Price to stay plus new activity fee has gotten out of hand. Very expensive few days. Can stay in a hotel for less especially when you look at total cost of trip.

Came for holiday weekend. Enjoyed tubing, pool activities with children and listened to some music in Garden last night of our stay. Bathrooms were kept very clean, staff was very accommodating and friendly. 1 thing needing improvement was Garden food truck quality of food was terrible certainly did not match pricing.

This was my 4th year staying at Herkimer. Always a fun time. The new garden area is a great addition. We will be back again next year.

The grounds and facilities were nice but their wasn’t much for our kids to do and the events that were available we never on time (either late or started way early) and didn’t have enough things for all to partake. Also, the list of events would have two locations so we never knew where to go. We did enjoy the store and the little ice cream camper. The playground area needs some love.

This a first time for all of us and was different. I had fun even though the rain had to remind us that we're powerless when nature brings the rain. Several diamonds were found including several decent sized ones. Prices in the shop were a bit steep for my budget but the little experience I've had with Crystals kinda shows what we all know...quality is not cheap. I do wish I had brought a few larger rocks back as I now have the means to cut into them. I did grab a few that should look nice after a session in the rock tumbler.

We camped here last weekend for their season opening. The staff was so very nice at both the Campgrounds and the Mines. Everyone we met was just absolutely just the most friendly and welcoming that we had an amazing time and immediately rebooked to come back when it's a tiny bit warmer. Despite having a rainy and cold weekend, the view of the creek was lovely and my kids had a ton of fun at the mines and my little guy loved the playground.

We love this campground and the diamond mines. The staff here are so nice. The new RV sites are my favorite.
