We stayed in the newer Mountainside camping area. The sites are large enough for a big rig. We did need to use our Anderson levelers to raise one side of the RV as the site was not level. We did use 4 wheel drive to help us get up the long steep hill getting into the campground with our 42ft 5th wheel. It rained for 2 days and there was NO pooling of water on the site or on the roads.

Our site was difficult to set up in. It was not level. The left side slopes down. Next year we will request site 16. It looked easier to set up on. Everything else was great.

Staff was courteous and helpful. Tom in maintenance was a lifesaver when our leveling jacks stuck in completely raised any help manually override the system and raise the jacks. The dryers didn’t dry clothes and we had to leave with wet clothes. The campsite was beautiful next to the west Canada Creek. Bathroom floors and showers were dirty.

Stayed in the treehouse and was extremely pleased. I would suggest that the mattress on the main bed be evaluated for possible replacement, but otherwise everything was great!

No hot water for showers. Could not get the TV to work. Pull out bed was like sleeping on rocks. Nice location. Very friendly staff.

We had a lovely stay here for one night. It was a bit chilly out but the lodge stayed cozy. A few little things were a bit broken- towel rod loose and fell out, telescope in the outside of the lodge was broken, but the lodge itself was nice and clean. We really enjoyed making a fire and relaxing outside, it was peaceful and we had a great stay! My first time at a KOA but not my last!

It was great. the team there is so friendly and helpful. I had a issue with my motor home, and Curtis came over spent some time figuring out what was wrong, he knew it was a valve that was not turned on, however could not find it. no one would have imagined the manufacturer hid the valve under the bed, under the platform in a panel.

Stay was nice. Just a suggestion to add a veggie burger to the menu at the Garden. It would have been nice to just stay in and eat there one evening, but there was no veggie option.

We love this place BUT we had very rude neighbors who partied late both nights keeping us up. There did not seem to be any enforcement of quiet time

Pricey weekend, Kids were disappointed.Not organized with events.Bingo started late and was only 20 mins not an hour. Dirt and worms definitely was not as expected handed 2 cookies, 2 gummy worms and had to wait for them to make a store run to DG for pudding because they ran out after a few kids. Bowls to mix them would've been nice. 5.00 sand art ran out of sand. Jewelry making by mine not open.

We found the placement of hook-ups at several sites challenging, with some requiring campers to run connections underneath their units. Hook-ups located in the far-left corner don’t seem to suit either pull-in or back-in setups. Also, many trees were planted directly where canopies or slide-outs would go, which made setup difficult. To be truly accommodating, KOA should consider addressing these

Cute, clean campground, but very disappointed that activities that were advertised from 4:30-5:30 were spontaneously cancelled at 4:15 because “people didn’t show up” and the “artisan didn’t want to wait.”For the price of a nightly stay, an additional $55 per day (plus tool rental fees) for the 3 of us to mine seemed excessive. Should be included with the stay since there weren’t man

Wonderful campground area. The only thing I would recommend is a dog fenced area in the upper campground with a dog waste bag and disposal.

Heater not work. Staff responded well. There were no hooks for our jackets, adult towels, pajamas and hand towel, face wash cloth, so I bought and used temp 3M ones. The towels were cheap and small, so we bought some. Not ok for $200 + a night. Hotel accommodations for this price elsewhere are better. All else was good. Not use a fabric basket for towels as it is unsanitary. Hooks and bars

Everything about this place is 10stars!! Best experience by far!! Been traveling all over and this was our favorite trip!!! So much to do for kids, such pretty landscapes and fun things to do for kids and parents. ! Can’t wait to come back!

Campground is nice. Wasn't pleased with access road to mountainside campground, dusty, steep. Not the fault of the campground getting there from I-90 is a pain, bridge work

We really enjoyed this KOA. We chose the mountainside camping area. Very peaceful. The sites were a little narrow, but we appreciated the landscaping between the sites to give a little privacy. Everything was neat and clean. The only thing we would suggest is putting more doggy waste stations around that area, especially as you walk further up the hill to the upper part of that area.

This campground was BEAUTIFUL! Situated alongside the West Canada Creek, the setting was perfect. This KOA had so much to offer...it was clean, well kept, well managed, big sites, and a Garden area like nothing we've ever seen. This area was a huge open area for children to run and play with cozy furniture and fire pits around the edge. A food trailer and ice cream trailer made for great food.

Helpful, friendly staff and well-kept grounds and amenities. Accommodation (cabin) was nice, and diamond mines onsite made for easy activity planning and scheduling. We generally stay in hotels, but I will be actively searching KOAs for our next excursion. The high standard has been set by Herkimer! Thanks for a great stay!

The campground was very nice. We stayed in a cabin which was very clean . We went to the cafe in the morning and the chef didn't show up so there was no breakfast. Other than that it was great

Was disappointed to find the eateries weren't open during my stay - this should have been on your website or in my reservation notification, so could plan a. Additionally, your WIFI signal was so weak that the TV couldn't connect, hence no TV or WIFI for my device. The cabins on the river really should have a screen door to take advantage of the view and the sounds of the river - IMO.

Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
