Very early in the season so there were only a handful of other campers but the campground was very clean and well kept. Some of facilities (ice cream camper and food camper) were not yet open, but again season just beginning. The campground store was open and well stocked with camping needs and souvenirs. Again, all very clean and well organized.

Everything was great until more visitors came and we were stuck between four barking dogs and a rude family. 15 empty cabins and staff decided to place the obvious obnoxious people on either side of our cabin.

Stayed with 4 year old grandson and think we found our new favorite place and thing to do. We had the best time digging for diamonds right across the street! Campground was lovely and can’t wait to go back when everything is opened up.

Three adults rented a cabin along the water. It was clean and was stocked with what we needed for a comfortable stay. Beautiful views! One suggestion...for the upper bunk bed, it would be helpful to have a spot to put items like a cell phone and eyeglasses. Perhaps a hanging net bag?

The creek was really nice to hear. Bathrooms need better fans to remove the humidity. Otherwise, a great experience.

I come to the campground couple times a year. I usually stay in the cabin always had a good experience on this trip. I got a tent site with no hook ups. I was very disappointed. The area was flooded. The ground was soaking wet and full of geese feces that I ended up just sleeping in my truck cause I didn’t wanna ruin my tent the campground was empty. It would’ve been to be put on a dry servic

Great experience overall. The site was clean and easy to connect to. The staff was very friendly and helpful both before our stay and during. We camped up on the hill and it’s very windy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will be back again.

The cabin was fine. I like the creek setting and scenery. Unfortunately, the ladies room at the main pavilion was out of order. A large inconvenience for my wife. Only one paper dispenser in the men’s room, and neither soap dispenser worked. Other than that, I’m looking forward to coming back mid summer.

We stayed at The Windmill Lodge on Saturday evening after enjoying a day at “First Crack”. The cabin was clean, well stocked and perfect for relaxing after a busy day. It was cool April weather and we will definitely come back to enjoy the many campground amenities offered in the summer months.

The site itself was great, funtional with a river view. Great location near mines. However, womens room was out of order. The other womens and mens restrooms had no hot water for showers and weak water pressure. Soap dispensers and PT rolls were out of order in a couple of locations. For opening weekend of the diamond mines, and $188 for 2 nights, they seemed unprepared and unkept.

Check in/out was simple and staff was friendly and helpful. We booked a deluxe glamping pod and came in after hours. When we walked in the first thing we noticed was a big dark stain in the middle of the comforter. Ew. We alerted staff in the morning and we were promptly brought a new one, but it really soured the first impression. I really cannot imagine how the housekeeper missed it.

We love it there but it is very pricey. I think being it was "off season" the price should be less. Our site was full of dirt, no fire pit, had to grab it from the stie next to us. The place is under construction and it is quite messy.

Beginning at the website it was very disappointing and outrageous. For $25. I could be sure I would have a pull-through at the original site. I used to be able to just say I wanted to be there. I told the woman who registered us and since I was right there and she had a site she offered it to us without the fee. Since your rates went up we usually stay at West Canada Creek.

We were not happy with our stay this year. There were no amenities available yet the price for the stay is the same. Miners Table closed, Cafe closed, food truck closed. Even the dog park was zip tied closed. Other than the hook-ups, it was like we just parked the motorhome. We understand that it is towards the end of their season. But if that is the case, rates should be adjusted to reflect it.

Our last camping weekend for the season. Had a great site on the creek. Very nice well kept campground with many amenities available to campers. Would imagine it’s very busy during the summer. Looking forward to returning next year. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We arrived at 8:30 pm, it was pitch black couldn’t see a thing. Opened our cabin and the bed was made up, towels were provided, clean restrooms and a place to wash dishes! Woke up in the morning and could see all the beauty and the river was right in front of us! Also a shout out to Harold, heart warming conversation of the area. Definitely coming back here! We used this park for a stopover on the way home to Niagara and discovered one of the most beautiful parks we have ever been in. Great sites, beautiful lazy river/Creek, the diamond mines were an added bonus!

It was better than I thought. We stayed in the small building with its private bathroom. It was a cozy place to stay while we mined for diamonds .

Enjoyed our stay with a back-in along the creek. Our second visit here and enjoyed the location once again. Just wish the cafe was open this time.

Campground is beautiful. Facilities are clean and staff are friendly. Being mid October I understand that certain things will not be available such as the pool. However, I was hoping that all other amenities would be open and available which they were not. Also, it would be nice if all of the KOA’s would stay open year round. There are a lot of people that really enjoy winter camping

Property - 10/10 for upkeep/cleanliness. Bathrooms closest to the playground were clean - but smelled like sewage. Cabin/site - 9/10 - clean, basic amenities listed online, but the mini fridges smelled due to not being plugged in, & closed up. Suggestion: Street/walkway lights - playground lights. Even if they shut off at a certain time. People should keep a closer eye on their children.

Beautiful, peaceful and gorgeous during the Fall which is when we were there. New mountainside sites tidy, beautifully landscaped with shrubs, florals and grass and just splendid with the pond in the distance - lovely touch with the Canadian Geese floating atop every day. Also, plenty of room on Site #207 for our 42 ft fifth wheel and 21 ft RAM truck. Bathrooms were a con - dirty & unkept.

We stayed in the newer Mountainside camping area. The sites are large enough for a big rig. We did need to use our Anderson levelers to raise one side of the RV as the site was not level. We did use 4 wheel drive to help us get up the long steep hill getting into the campground with our 42ft 5th wheel. It rained for 2 days and there was NO pooling of water on the site or on the roads.

Our site was difficult to set up in. It was not level. The left side slopes down. Next year we will request site 16. It looked easier to set up on. Everything else was great.

Staff was courteous and helpful. Tom in maintenance was a lifesaver when our leveling jacks stuck in completely raised any help manually override the system and raise the jacks. The dryers didn’t dry clothes and we had to leave with wet clothes. The campsite was beautiful next to the west Canada Creek. Bathroom floors and showers were dirty.

Stayed in the treehouse and was extremely pleased. I would suggest that the mattress on the main bed be evaluated for possible replacement, but otherwise everything was great!

Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
