The staff greeted us with a smile, were cheerful and seemed eager to help the moment we arrived to check in.

Immaculate grounds, lots of activities. Great experience!

Cool spot. The bathrooms were disgusting. And they were far from tent sites.

No trees. Deep rut in entrance to campsite. Nice restaurant. Too expensive. Convenient location.

Amazing. Love the new grass area. It really bring everyone off their camp sites and together. Nice sense of community. My girls enjoyed the music at night.

It was very relaxing would have like to see the pool more clean. Had a lot of bugs in it. But over all it was a great weekend

We stayed in the new mountainside cabins . They are very nice . The only recommendations i have are some hooks to hang things inside, an outdoor mat and usb plugs . We enjoyed our stay and would def come again!

This was our first stay at a KOA Camp/Resort. Have camped extensively with Cub Scouts and BSA. I was looking for a quick escape with some nature and fun for my 8yr old son, but wanted reasonable lodging considering the rainy forecast and didn’t want to be in a tent. The Mountainside Glamping Pod with private bathroom was perfect. We truly enjoyed ourselves even with some rain. Would go again!

Fantastic location along the beautiful West Canada Creek. It is a super clean and open place with so much natural beauty. It is kid and pet friendly but was not loud and was very quiet at night... even though music and entertainment were just steps away.

The new clamping pods were fantastic, everything was so clean upon arrival; there were so many activities for the kids and the pool was big enough to accommodate everyone on site.

Cabin K1 was filthy. Spiderwebs & spiders, cobwebs, but most of all, ants. We had to keep all food that didn't need refrigeration in the car. I've stayed in cabins at other campgrounds, and they were always clean. Rustic doesn't mean dirty!

It is the tale of Two Cities, or in your case, the tale of two campgrounds. The lower "resort" campground meets expectations, but the upper "resort" campground is more like a third world country. Only by car or a long walk with hundreds of stairs could we access the lower campground. The upper sites at best would qualify for KOA Journey status. Very disappointing.

Very nice stay, good staff, clean amenities, and nice pool.

Our stay was just OK. Considering that this is a KOA Resort we were disappointed. We’ve stayed at many KOA Holidays and Journeys. Some are better than others for sure but this is our first time at a Resort. We stayed in a “large deluxe cabin “. It didn’t live up to its billing. Was quite run down and badly needs updating. As stated overall it was ok but certainly not “resort” standards

We stayed in a cabin. Very quiet, clean and comfortable. Our little girl loved the porch swing. We had a memorable stay. Campground staff was courteous and friendly.

Even though I stayed one night; I loved hearing the sounds of river water right outside my cabin. I came to buy some diamonds on my way to Buffalo because of the Tucson Gem Show. It's a beautiful KOA.

Herkimer was a nice KOA. Wanted to send a thank you to Harold one of the maintenance professionals as he went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. Please pass on our thank you to him as he is an amazing person. Thank you

We have been coming here for over 20 years. Sites are in great shape. Bathrooms are as clean as they can be kept. Weather was crazy, but that is camping. Cost of 2 pizzas was $10 more than 2 years ago (we didn't buy pizzas last year.) That's a large price increase.

Im a planner, have to say my plans were ALL fouled-up due to MISINFORMATION. The miners table hours listed fit into my PLAN but the information on hours and days of operation were different when we got there(fouled-up dinner)! The Garden bar & grill wouldve been a savior but she closed early (had to eat breakfast for dinner)! One KOA agent gave my KOA discount another didnt. Drove5hours for that

The stay was great! Loved our site and the amenities!! Bathrooms were clean.

Brought my kids and 2 dogs. The Campground has lots to offer: pool, yard games, walking, watching the water, tubing. The garden is beautiful. The store is well equipped. The place is magical. And the staff is beyond friendly.

Great place with the exception of the bathrooms. There were no wheelchair accessible stalls for men. That really made it difficult, and I had called prior to coming and was assured that the bathrooms were wheelchair accessible.

The best way to describe our stay is "it was not long enough". It is an excellent example of a KOA Resort. If you asked us what to improve, our response is not a thing. The facilities and activities are outstanding. The staff is friendly, professional and always there to assist their visitors. Highly recommend planning a stay here and going mining for Herkimer diamonds.

We were moved from the main campground to the mountain area, which we specifically tried to avoid when booking. The staff were less then helpful when explaining why. The medication was expired in the store. The campsites themselves were tight because of the garden area. Pretty but not effective

We've been going to the Herkimer KOA for almost 30 years. It is clean ,and well staffed. Harold, one of the staff, was especially friendly and helpful, with great attitude. My wife paid $13 for a bottle of ketchup and mustard at the camp store, so avoid the camp store and shop ahead. The deluxe cabins are very nice but feel removed from the campground, as they are attached to the mine attraction.

They have so much to offer it is hard to know where to begin. The addition of the ice cream and food / beer/ wine trailers is a great one. I do miss the basketball court because it is a great place for kids to meet people and you can entertain yourself for a while shooting hoops - cant play alone with volley ball.

What an amazing experience! The glamping cottage I stayed at in the mountain camping was beyond my expectations and it was so quiet and peaceful. Had everything you could need, and bed was so comfy. Driving around, I was amazed at just how well the whole place was maintained. Very beautiful, pride of ownership showed, which can be rare. I came for the diamonds but so glad I stayed a couple of days

My family had a great time during our short stay. My daughter and husband spent hours and hours at the “diamond” mines! They even stayed through a couple passing rainstorms. The pool was clean and even though it was too rainy and chilly to go into the river during our stay it looked like it would be fun to spend the day floating down!

Park is well kept laundry facilities lack for size of park and it doesn’t help when machines are inop also closure of park amenities for private parties across street at restaurant doesn’t set well when your counting on a meal also add for this koa doesn’t let u know how partially open everything is

Cabins come with luxury items including mini heater, dorm room fridge with freezer, Roku TV. Nice outside barbecue and fire pit for each site. There are tent locations plus RV hookup spots. Right across the street from the Herkimer diamond mine. So those that visit the mine can also walk from the campsite straight to the mind. Decent amount of tent sites and cabins directly adjacent to the park as well as restroom area. And find out away from the main road not to hear the hustle and bustle of the mine.

What an amazing team lead by Rebecca! Cannot say enough about the service we received from everyone! We attended for a scout weekend and brought 46 scouts, leaders, and family. We were in several tent sites, 10 cabins, and 4 RV sites. They were very responsive to our wood needs (28° degree night). Had events Saturday. Grounds were well maintained, restrooms and showers were clean, and parking was close! We will return. Thank you to all.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay at the Herkimer Diamond KOA (Kampgrounds of America) Resort. We only stayed one night mid October 2024 towards the end of the season, and it was so much fun we didn't want to leave! Located in the heart of the Mowhawk Valley, HDKOA Resort is a great place to stay when you're visiting the Herkimer Diamond Mines, which is conveniently located directly across the street from the resort. The price per night will vary based on how many nights, time of year and season. There is an outdoor pool and public restrooms with two showers and the staff work hard to maintain it's cleanliness. You will need to book a reservation online or on the KOA app and the prices will vary depending on where you stay and what amenities you choose to pay for. We stayed in a pod and it had 4 full size beds, 3 electrical outlets, air conditioner and a heater, a mini fridge and not much space. There are cabins you can book with their own bathrooms, shower and kitchen but they are pricey. You can pitch a tent on one of their tent sites or hook up an rv on one of their many RV sites. There's even a tree house like cabin you can rent but again, very pricey. The gift shop here is pretty large and sells all of your camping needs including bug spray, fire wood, lanterns and even blankets. The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable and are very helpful. They hold seasonal events for campers during the day and night and the kids and the Adults always have a great time and have many cherished memories that will make any childhood so much better. You will love your stay at KOA ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
