The KOA is the most convenient place to stay when visiting the Diamond Mines. The cabin was very nice but the price was just outrageous. $350 for 20 hours when we were actually in it for 10 hours is just too much money. The people were great but we won’t be able to come back anytime soon.

Everything, from the accommodations to the grounds, to the canteen and museum, to the Barn and the staff, was exceptional. Highly recommend!

Great stay. Can't wait to go back. The glamping cabin was worth it. Very private with a cute little porch and view to the river. There is plenty to do for fun all over the place. We got to make a tie-dye shirt that was a good time. Very cute. Staff was friendly. Food was great.

Check in was very pleasant. Cabins could have been cleaned a bit more. Appliances were very good. We were very disappointed with the activities for kids. They were either not done or ran an hour late, for kids that was not acceptable.

We have been coming to Herkimer KOA for years. We always get sites along the river which are very nice. The only problem is the last few years the cable tv has not been working.

Sites are large and quiet. Beautiful scenery. There is a lovely sitting area outside behind the office with beautiful flowers in hanging baskets and some lighting. The people working there are very nice.

Very nice campground. Well maintained and clean. Live entertainment was great. Don’t forget to checkout the “mine” portion across the hidhway. A mind blowing collection of rocks and minerals.

We loved our stay, however it was a bit disappointing that everything was closed. I know that it was after Labor Day, but if your open you should also have things going on during the week. No restaurants, or the bar. With that said we had a great stay, quiet and peaceful, close to stores and town. We will definitely be back.

We were only there for two overnight stays while traveling, but it is a beautiful campground. We would like to come back in season to enjoy the activities.

The campground was clean and had lots of amenities except the food service wasnt very good. The only food available was at mine until 4PM. We were not informed that the ice cream and food service at campground would be closed until weekend. When it was open they were late opening, didnt have things on menu and some of the food was spoiled. I really was leary about eating from the food trailer.

We only stayed overnight on our way home from a vacation in Maine. The only complaint is that the cable tv hookup at site 119 was broken.

Clean comfortable cabin by the river just as described online. Very helpful, friendly and hard working staff members everywhere. Plenty of amenities, activities and yet quiet at night. Camp grounds were clean and attractive.

Beautiful view and fun activities. Cabin was clean and stocked with utensils. Campground is quiet. Mine staff were knowledgeable, and all staff were pleasant! Definitely will be back.

One of the nicer KOA's ever stayed. Landscaping and grounds are immaculate. The park is clean and well kept. Showers were clean but a bit tight for getting undressed and dressed. It's certainly in the middle of natural beauty.

The campgrounds are beautifully maintained, the staff is super friendly! The lodge we stayed in was clean, most of our needs were met, such as, bathroom towels, linens for every bed! Dishes, flatware, pots. The skillet should be replaced, it was very old and sticks! The lodge could use more hooks in bedrooms and bathrooms. Otherwise we had a fun time with our family despite the rain!

I walked through this site on a different trip about 15 years ago and promised myself I would return with an RV one day. Yesterday was the day! I was able to enjoy a stay while making my way out to the east coast and it was just as beautiful as I remembered. This site is very well manicured. And the setting of campsites along a gorgeous Creek is just sensational. Staff was kind and helpful.

We have been going here for years and now reluctant to come back as the price to get in the mines and slice bags are too much. The restaurant menu change and fish dinner was the worse I’ve had. Must be change in chef and no longer appealing. So sad as it used to be the best. You’ve added but also took away the affordable prices for families.

We paid to be in AAL (Astronomy) where there was no telescope (we were told it was broken the week before). Also, a square box that used to have something in it was missing a wall of glass w/remnants of the glass still in place. My niece cut her finger on it. Additionally, the staff that facilitated the events were not welcoming or engaging. We left after waiting half hour at the “karaoke” e

I received your message and am really disappointed in koa. Our family has held a reunion in Herkimer for over 15 years, bringing 70-80 cousins together making countless memories. It now includes four generations.I found it necessary to cancel some reservations due to family reasons. I was told I would be charged $25 each. Customer service is the key to successful business operations, this is an extremely poor example of that skill. The amount of $25 for each reservation cancellation adds onto an already large amount of money I spend there .Koa would not miss this amount, in my financial life, it matters. It also says a lot about koa and their lack of appreciation for loyal customers

The entire experience was amazing. The cabin was clean. They provided everything needed from dishes and pans to towels and shampoo. Everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant. The mine was a great found some great crystals. Will definitely be back!
