Lot was not level and sewer connection was uphill. Fairly new addition to the original campground. I’m sure it’s going to be nice when it’s finished.

Site by the water that was so small our awning couldn't be put out even though it said it had larger capacity ( rained all weekend) Tent site beside us had people going to the washroom out in the open( women and men) and consistently coming onto our site. They even Stole our other neighbors children's bikes. The pool had no water in it.The laundry facilities were out of order. Paid FULL rate

My son and I had an unforgettable experience. Friendly staff and helpful in giving us guidance for the area. The location is beautiful and clean. The mines were the best part. With the help of the rains, we got so many diamonds. They had a beautiful communal center and so much to do on the grounds.

Showers were good. Campsite was under water. Entire tent campsite had no spot with dry ground. A higher camping pad is needed. We cut our vacation short by two days because the tent had standing water in it. There was muck where you would exit the tent. Staff listened well and refunded the missed time. In summary staff and shower facilities were good. Campsite needs improvement.

I was disappointed. Staff was not real good with info. I had to escort myself across the street to find my site in a completely different park. Had to call for wifi password, restaurant hours. the wifi didn't work. Restaurant not open until memorial day. But was charged Resort fee of $12 and no resort amenities Listed walking path that is unmarked, not mowed. Site 211 was muddy & standing water

We elected not to pay the $25 lock fee (because it was preseason) we were put in a remote site across the hwy from the amenities. There were 2 other campers in the remote area & perhaps 10 in the main campground. The road up to the remote area was rutted and washed out with recent rains. My class-a worked hard to get up that hill. Very disappointing lesson, don't book online or arrive late.

It was perfect !!! They thought of everything for us in the cabin !!! The bed was so comfortable, the living was perfect. Even the bathroom was perfect.where the cab is situated is breathtaking.. it was our first time camping and this was an amazing experience thank you .and the staff was so friendly.

The grounds were immaculate and beautifully maintained with one exception ... there were goose droppings everywhere (on the site pads, the walkways and the grass)! It was tough to walk around with all the droppings. The other disappointment was that many of the amenities were not available. I get that mid week in May was a very slow time but I would expect a note on the website letting us know.

Everything was great except for Saturday night. Someone near us was having a very loud party and at 2:30 am they were playing loud music, yelling and banging things.

Very nice campground. Had a spot along the creek. Very nice views of the water. Grounds were well maintained. We went to the diamond mine and spent a few hours prospecting. Everyone enjoyed it, especially the grandkids.

Check in/out seamless, staff friendly. Campground very clean. Stayed in cabin right in front of diamond mine. Spacious/Clean, had everything we needed. Amazing being able to walk right over to diamond mine. Only cons were that we believe there was a prom at the diamond mine and we were left listening to all of their music till 5 minutes before 10pm on Saturday night. Grill needs TLC.

Stayed only one night in a glamping pod eith a bathroom, wished it had been 2. The pods are small, but very convenient and cozy. Out only suggestion would be more hooks to hang up towels and jackets. There is only 2 on bathroom door. Mining is fun, found several beautiful diamonds on the ground just after the rain. My hubby mined a few out of the stone. Great time!

Booking.com sold me a room in a motel that was no longer operating, and I was without lodging in a strange place. Thank you for taking my late booking! The glamping hut was gorgeous, and the hosts were very kind and thoughtful. I could have done without the weed whacking outside my hut at 8am, particularly since I was one of the only guests out there, but I guess it’s gotta get done some time!

I added on a night to the beginning of our reservation and it was a smooth, efficient transaction. The cabin is exactly as described. This is first time staying in a campground. Was pleased with cleanliness, quiet surroundings and location of our cabin. Look forward to booking again with Herkimer KOA.

We were arriving late and the caretaker at the time was absolutely amazing in helping us along the way. It was our first time there and we are planning on coming back asap. Cute little diamond in the rough :-). I even caught a fishy in the fishing pond.

Wir hatten einen Platz direkt am Fluss. wir standen in einer schönen und gepflegten Anlage mit sauberen und angenehmen Waschräumen. Das freundliche Personal betreibt auch die Diamantenmine, ein Spaß für Jung und Alt. Sehenswert ist die Ausstellung und der Shop mit vielen käuflich erwerbbaren Steinen. Ein Aufenthalt, der sich auf jeden Fall für mehrere Tage lohnt.

Our stay was amazing! The camping pockets were adorable. The entire resort was well kept and staff were friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be making regular trips in the future.

Always a great stay. OUR SPRING VACATION. Understand a lot of winter damage. Do hope they keep laundry. Had to go down in town to wash clothes. Come there with family 3 times year

The diamond mine being right across the street, a 5 minute walk away, was perfect! It helped us maximize our time at the mine. We also enjoyed the cabin. It was a nice size and we appreciated that it was green.

Wonderful stay at Herkimer KOA. Beautiful campground. We stayed at site 216 on the mountainside part of the campground near. It is a newer section of the campground. Pull through with full hook up. Very peaceful and quiet. Roads were easy to navigate. Spent one day looking for crystals and found a few. Drove to Cooperstown to visit for the day and see the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Herkimer Diamonds KOA is a great KOA with a large property and many different things to do. Because Herkimer KOA is a resort the fees for the stay are higher. We camped in April which meant many of the amenities were not available. Wish fees for camping could be adjusted accordingly. That being said this is a great campground, with an amazing staff!!

Overall the park is nice. Our cabin was pretty dirty though. Lots of spiderwebs and dirt in the cabin. I've worked for the parks in Michigan for years and we always do a deep clean at the beginning of the season. This definitely wasn't done. Also had my shoes stolen from our porch. Didn't seem like the front desk people cared to much which was crappy.

Our Cabin was very nice but it was infested with spiders. I killed about 20 before I went to bed. I woke up to having 2 more on the ceiling and one crawling on the side of our bed and more in the bathroom. I'm not a spider fan.

Pros: nice location. Nice camp sites and rvs. Playground for the kids. Cons: women’s Shower/bathrooms smell as if the septic is backing up. Shower water was cold. You’d be lucky to get it like warm shower.

Early season, we were aware not full service or amenities. We were disappointed to see the nearest bathroom had issues, No hot water, low water pressure, soap & paper towel dispenser not working. during our full stay, after repeat mentioning it We enjoyed the extra room for our troop since no other campers were in nearby sites. Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
