This was our second time staying here. We love the creekside lodges-- they are clean and have everything we need, the view is beautiful, and you can hear the creek if you sleep with the windows open. Last time my husband and daughter went tubing and I was able to watch them from the patio. Mining was fun as well. We will be back again!

The staff and overall resort were wonderful but we were displeased with the tree house. Upon entry the cabin smelled and I traced it to a very stinky kitchen sponge. The main bed could only be accessed from one side and the mattress needs replacing. The bunk beds were not made up despite a reservation for three people. Difficult to make bunks with vinyl mattress. Table had two chairs for 3.

The staff were very flexible with the changes I needed made to the reservation. There were great amenities and the luxury lodges were fun and educational!

Staff was friendly, grass was mowed. I understand reasons for the changes... reservations only made online or by calling, but it is an inconvenience.

The main property seemed to be very nice, unfortunately fortunately we were placed across the road. It felt more like a state park than a KOA. It's a good thing we didn't need the bathhouse or laundry, it would have been quite the walk and serious climb to return. Very rough dirt/gravel road with an extreme hill as access. We will not return. Ain

We had a few bumps in the road, but he staff was on there game. I would recommend you to stay. The best KOA yet.

This was our fourth time staying here. Lovely flat campground, great for biking. Right on the water. Love the buddy sites.

Our site was beautiful, but for the amount we paid( over $80 a night) cable tv service should have been included. We only got 4 tv antenna channels. Hopefully this service will be added in the future.

Smoke detector went off in the middle of the night it took them multiple times to fix it and then put a battery in it that was low and it just chirped. Wish the cabins bed were not so small they stated queen but when we arrived they were definitely not. We had to switch our stay because we brought our dogs but we saw other people have there dogs with them in the same cabin we originally rented.

It rained so we were limited on what activities we could do so we will have to come again. I was upset because we confirmed our site. I called to confirm our site again after the booking and when we arrived they moved our site stating the we didn’t pay a fee to confirm it. There was a personal reason to get the site I had and they should have said I may be moved when I called to confirm.

It was a rainy three days but the camp activities, diamond mines and general great atmosphere kept both kids and adults entertained. It was a very enjoyable stay.

Everything about this campground is beautiful. The cabin we stayed in was beautiful. Unfortunately the bed was not. The mattress cover was dirty and had wet stains on it. We had to go to Walmart and purchase a mattress topper. I don’t think we would return to the campground. To pay over a thousand dollars seems a bit excessive if they don’t inspect the beds

We have been coming there for 16 years....Every year for Memorial day camping! The price of the sites are ABSOLUTELY ridiculous.....This rear it was $146 a night and next year would be $174 a night....That is highway robbery.....Had no water pressure in my camper and everyone else was complaining too....Half the events that were supposed to happen...Never did and no more cable!

Our third time to Herkimer, we always stay at the deluxe lodges on the mining side of the street up at the very top (351). There are three (350, 351, 352) This time we brought up two additional families and we all enjoyed the accommodations, employees, and mining. We were bummed the Miner's Table restaurant wasn't open for the season yet, but Hannaford has great party platters for large groups.

-let’s talk about concessions- cook very friendly. Ordered chicken tenders only to find out no sauces available- no ranch or bbq sauce - disappointing Ordered gyro - only to be told they have to fries. Mind you this is at 5 pm on Memorial Day weekend. We did the s’mores activity - make your own s’mores Only 5 families showed up and they had no chocolate for the Smores.. really? Do bett

We were told that we would have water and electric and when we showed up, there was only one water spigot shared between our very tightly packed sites. I had to use my splitter with a stranger, and finally the KOA staff brought a splitter which should have been notated in the very beginning or fixed at the site. The sites are pretty packed in and there’s a ton of cabins. There are lots activitie

Weeds on mountainside campground should be pulled at site's. High grass on paths from mine to mountainside campground.

Friendly staff, clean and many activities to do. We stayed in the newer section, seemed like they stopped maintaining it and only mowed the sites there was no trimming and weeds growing in the sites and roadway. The pathway to the mines and lower section was not maintained and overgrown.

There appears to be no reinvestment in the property. No telescopes in astrology lodges. The lights are not working. The heat in one of the rooms is not working. The facet in the bathroom is falling apart.

Tried to rebook at the office and was told I couldn't they had a man power shortage with people standing behind 2 computers I had to go call that's just crazy.

Creekside campsite was uneven and filled with water puddles. Although staff at the reception was very helpful in opening up nextsite, uneven & wet campsite ruined our stay and we had to checkout a day early

The site we stayed in, (65) was nice. Dual power options, on either end. Although the one side, looks as though someone either hit, or forgot to unhook the power before leaving. Looks unsafe with live power inside, with the number of kids running around. Hate to see, someone get hurt.

This was our 2nd stay in the Miner's cabins. We had such a great time previously, we convinced my brother-in-law and wife to join us and everyone had a very pleasant stay in the cabins, and some very exciting moments in the mine!! Such a unique adventure! On a practical note, the cabins were clean, the kitchens well stocked, and loved little details like the porch swing and outdoor grill!

The ceiling fan was very wobbly, the bbq grill hinge was not attached and the grill would not stay lit. The silverware was dirty and there was an old sock in the couch with crumbs in the crack when we laid it down to set up into a bed.

It was great, clean, quiet. Bathrooms were clean but chilly no heat on so we didn’t take showers. Other than that all good.

Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
