This is our second time, the place was clean and well managed. the staff were friendly and the extra weekend activities for Father's day were great. Would certainly return.

Stayed in a Deluxe Cabin at Herkimer Diamond KOA to and from a road trip out east. Stayed on a weekend and a week day. The cabins were extremely clean and the staff was super friendly upon check in and check out. "The Garden" area is beautiful and has food available on the weekend. We have already recommended this place to others.

The staff was professional, friendly and very knowledgable! They helped make this a terrific get away for us! We plan to come back again soon and possibly look into a seasonal site. This isn't our first time here but it was absolutely the BEST!

We loved the atmosphere there. Staff were all very cheerful and loads of smiles! I plan on coming back for a longer stay. The tent sites were very well kept. And tons of activities for my grandson to do. My only complaint was that there was no coffee made in the store and I had to go to town to get coffee. Also the second night there a family of 7 was put next to us. They were loud past midnight.

Grounds are beautiful and probably the best designed KOA we have ever stayed in. That said, we were sandwiched in a spot river side with a huge tree to negotiate (just too close for comfort!!). We were also directly across from an inflatable with a motor running ALL day - unpleasant to sit outside and impossible to enjoy the sounds of the river. Pay the additional $25 to reserve a decent spot!

Tent campsites were very close together. A group arrived late and were yelling and screaming past 2am. Don't you enforce quiet hours?

We stayed in the mountainside area and it was beautiful. It was quiet and peaceful. Nice landscaping gave added privacy between sites. Didn’t use the amenities as we were there overnight and it was raining but everything looked well kept.

Though the campground wasn't crowded, we were placed in a mountainside spot. There are no showers available there, only restroom. Showers were to be accessed from a trail, then stairs and then across the street/highway. Unfortunately, the trail to the stairs necessitated tromping thru 3feet of unmoved brush. The Lapidary showers had no hot water. The bathroom at site 200 had no lights.

We stayed 1 night in a deluxe cabin. The cabin was comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the quietness of the cabins in the mining village once the village was closed for the day. We did walk around at the campground across the road and loved seeing the river. It is a wonderful spot, and I have told friends about it and have recommended it.

We stayed for just one night but everyone was amazing and so nice! We rented out the astrology cabin it was very cute and on theme. Our only complaint is that we thought there would have been a telescope and there's even posters in the dome and cabin giving instructions for a telescope they no longer have there. But other than that everything was incredible and we definitely will return.

Fire ring had prior occupant's multiple paper coffee cups and trash in it and a container of Nellie's organic eggs sitting on the picnic table. Everything else was fine for our overnight stay.

We really enjoyed our short stay at the Herkimer KOA Resort. Our site, #87, was perfect! Close enough to the West Canada River that we could enjoy the sound of the rushing water. Our site was level, which is important as it didn't take much time to set-up our RV and enjoy the campground. We plan to return soon!

We love the glamping pocket! The only advise I would give is to put some hooks inside. There are plenty of places that you can add hooks for hanging up a towel a jacket etc. The showers could also use some soap dishes. Even just the kind that attach with suction cups. There is no where to put your soap when taking a shower. Everything else was excellent! :)

Only 1 k9camp for this large koa on both sides of the highway. Staff was very friendly.

Campground was great. Friendly people and a nice vibe. We stayed at tent site #91 and I do want to mention that the fire ring was an old tire ring with no grill. I generally expect that the fireplaces at a camp site will have a grill. It did not impact me for this stay, but I could see it being a problem in another situation. The adjoining tent sites all had fire rings with a grill.

We love the sites and we especially love having our site along the babbling brook. This KOA is called a resort KOA and it is... including a nice restaurant across the street... very convenient!

Excellence in all aspects; especially the staff. After sitting up our site we walked to the KOA Store and found it had just closed. Staff were walking to their car to go home. They asked if they could help, reopened the store and we purchased some supplies. We thanked them then and we thank them now! �

This campground is gorgeous!!! The staff is warm and friendly. The sites are super clean, there's a ton of things for the kids to go and do, we felt extremely safe (letting the boys go explore on their own). We can't wait to come again!! ,

This was our second time staying here. We love the creekside lodges-- they are clean and have everything we need, the view is beautiful, and you can hear the creek if you sleep with the windows open. Last time my husband and daughter went tubing and I was able to watch them from the patio. Mining was fun as well. We will be back again!

The staff and overall resort were wonderful but we were displeased with the tree house. Upon entry the cabin smelled and I traced it to a very stinky kitchen sponge. The main bed could only be accessed from one side and the mattress needs replacing. The bunk beds were not made up despite a reservation for three people. Difficult to make bunks with vinyl mattress. Table had two chairs for 3.

Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
