We were given wrong information and therefore made our stay not great

A little more explanation about the sites across the street from main campground would have been nice. Pulling up the big hill on a dirt gravel road with a large camper was challenging. Being far away from all activates was not very nice either. would have rented a golf cart to go back and forth but was told you couldn't cross the road with them. Next time we will make sure we can get into main

This campground was great! Everything was clean and well kept. The beautiful grounds, cabins, pool, store, and public areas. Lots of things to do, and the creek was awesome. The windmill lodge had all the kitchenware we needed and a nice big deck with plenty of seating. The only thing I would change would be the fold out couch. That mattress was very uncomfortable, but all the other beds were nice

Overpriced for the condition of the lodges. I stayed in Bluebird #17. Toilet was not clean. I took a picture and showed it to Becca. Dirt in the corners of the baseboards. $25 for early check-in. Charging for more than one car when the unit sleeps 6. All money grabs. Marriott prices for Motel 6 condition. Use of the amenities should be covered by the high rates.

We always have a nice time because the KOA accommodates our entire family reunion. HOWEVER, the sleeper cabins are extremely hot. Something needs to be done to lower the temps in those ovens! Air conditioning? Maybe a ceiling fan? The prices are high for a cabin with no bathroom, running water or AC. Making them more comfortable would help!

always have fun, people friendly place to. I stay in a lodge#78 @ koa Herkimer for the past 10+ years for our family reunion. It's old,unkept. Cleaning is poor. For the $ price I pay I wonder what do yo do with all of it? The fees so ridiculous, it makes on feel like you don't much care. We are a very large group, location and logistics inside the park work, so we return for that feature yearly

After 40 plus years camping at Herkimer, the cabin we stayed in (#77) was run down and the broken wooden deck that broke last year had not been properly repaired a year later. The Roku for the TV was missing. The staff was great (especially Jamie) who assisted us in finding a lost necklace. For $300 a night, every cabin should be properly equipped (missing can opener & bowls). Hope it gets better.

This is a great campground. The property is beautifully maintained the staff are great and there is something for everyone there. I had a wonderful stay in one of your cabins. I have stayed there several times in different cabins and pods. All are very nice. The deluxe cabin has everything you would need for your stay.

Fees for everything! Considering how much we paid for a bug infested “glamp” pod, we arrived at 2:15 pm and though the space was ready a $25 fee was requested for early check in. Mining costs $19/ per person, premium up charge for Fri/Sat/Sun. There is also a late check out fee of $25. On site amenities shut down by 8 pm. I will not be returning to this site.

We only stayed one night, but as soon as we arrived I wanted to stay longer. The ground was beautifully laid. Our site was one the river. There was an abundance of cabins and tents sites. They had a bunch of activities for kids and even a k-9 camp for the puppies. I can’t wait to come back!!

I stayed 8 years ago. With my son. We came back for his 21st birthday. You have made some amazing improvements in the campground. The stay was wonderful. My son an my nephew who also came 8 years ago kept raving about it. They are already planning another trip next year.

Back of pod felt like it settled/unlevel a smidge. Keurig cord didnt reach outlet but no biggie, we moved it to another one. Overall, a great time and loved the mountaintop privacy for two!

The campground was great except the hour's of the store should be later. Also tried going to the ice cream truck was supposed to be open till 9:00 we got there at 8:40 it was closed

Decent for an overnight stay however the new Mountainside sites are a dust bowl with a terrible rutted gravel/dirt road up the hill and sites that are far from level. The original sites along creek looked far more desirable.

You stuck us up on the hill and there was white truck that did not obey the speed limit which made a huge dust cloud each time he drove by which was in the morning and evening each day. There were three men on a ride on lawn mower at 7 am. Not the first thing you want to hear when you are on vacation. We asked for a water view site, but was told that we would love it up on the hill. WEDID NOT!!!!

The way that cabins are listed online is entirely deceiving and we didn’t get the type of cabin we deserved. While the manager was sympathetic there was no other cabin available. We spent a lot of money for something not adequate for our family and I’m really disheartened by it. We have very little desire to ever return here. The food truck was phenomenal however. Kudos to them.

The Deluxe cabin had everything listed in it's description, cabin and linens were clean, new appliances. Had a handicap cabin w/ bunk beds and futon which is odd setup. Campground is clean and updated. Have visited the Herkimer Mine over 10+ years. Cons: On site food or beverages was lack luster at best and requires review, especially when traveling with families. Overall enjoyable visit.

Great visit! Amenities and staff were great. Beds in rustic cabin could be more comfortable. Loved the quaintness of the cabin and whole atmosphere of the campground.

We had a real good time digging for Herkimer diamonds, the tree house cabin was great. We are planning to come back next year for a longer stay.

The beginning of our day was amazing. Absolutely amazing. The man at check in was so helful and kind. Cabin is cozy and adorable with a great location, but built for tall people, we're short. The end of our stay not amazing, frustrating and rude. Weeding and mowing directly next to the cabin was the most obnoxious way to wake up. Very dissatisfied and given no warning. Bad way to end the trip.

Enjoyed our stay very much. We loved minng for "herks". Camping pod was very nice, cozy and intimate. The ladies at the front desk greeted us with smiles and were very kind and helpful. The guy in charge of food at the campground was a great guy. We enjoyed chatting with him and he does make some very delicious food! Overall it was a great experience and we look forward to visiting again.

Enjoyed the mining experience and the convenience of the campground and accommodations to the mining site. Cabin was nice with its front porch, swing and fire pit.

Everything was fantastic. Staff very helpful. The only downfall was that the clothes dryers did mot work well and the washing machines were an issue too. Great site. Over all and 5 star rated campground.

It was my first time camping in a cabin, rather than a tent, and it was fantastic! The only minor annoyance was house flies in the cabin, but everything was clean and the cabin was nice and cool.

There were great activities for the children and adults alike. The camp was very full. The weather was great. The ONLY complaint I have is that the bathrooms were always in terrible shape. Overflowing trash in a way too small can, dirty sinks, no papertowels, shower walls slimy. Why do they leave the outside doors open? There were always so many bugs in there.

Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
