Our stay was excellent. The staff were really nice and the campground was beautiful! There were lots of great activities for the kids and we all had a wonderful time!

Absolutely hands down the very best KOA !! Many activities for the children , this campground is spotless , every staff member is pleasant at all times, laundry facilities are perfect , bathroom & showers are perfect , will never stay anywhere else when visiting the area . Thank you for year 3 of a perfect vacation .

We were blown away by the mountainside glamping pod! It was perfect for our one night adventure! The staff were absolutely amazing, lots of helpful tips and excellent service!

This has been the best camping experience I have ever had. The campground was clean, well organized and with the amount of campers there, very quiet. There were a variety of activities for kids of all ages. We will definitely be back. We rented the solar cabin which had a smaller refrigerator and no microwave or oven due to the electric draw on those appliances.

We have been going to herkimer for about 30 years now. This year was the worse year. The activities were poorly planned and executed. Let me be clear the girl that ran every single activity was fantastic and it is no fault of hers. But the one planning them is failing and that poor girl needs help. The customer service was very lacking. Whoever Karen is..not a fan. Very impersonal and lacking.

Stay was great.The young lady that was doing “ALL” of the activities did a wonderful job, I suggest on busy weekends there should be two people. She was running from each activity. Also two people are needed at the ice cream stand. Lines were at least a 30 minute wait and the ice cream was a mess, spilled over the sides. How do you run out of gem bags, make sure you are well stocked.

Our family has been going to this koa every year on this weekend for 24 or 25 years. New policy says you can't check in early regardless that the cabin is cleaned. I was charged 25.00 to check in hour early because after traveling to here for hrs, had to plug crockpots in for the lg friday night meal. Had to leave the key in cabin 1 door because it selflocks. Not happy with the new extra fees.

Was put up in the mountain section. This was not indicated when I made reservations months ago. Then the gall to charge an extra $25 to stay near the other facilities. Mountain area had no showers. Too far away from store and other accommodations. This did not happen when I stayed previously. Map showed path to get down hill, but no path could be found.

We were there for a week. Our site was narrow but at least long enough to accommodate our bus plus trailer. There was so much to do there. It's so perfect for people with kids.

Nice level site, unfortunately the cable did not work! Other than that the kids and the adults enjoyed your campground and would like to come back!

Only 2 complaints, bathrooms were atrocious!! More frequent cleaning is needed! Like every hour. Also the flashlight candy hunt apparently started 20 min early , and had a very disappointed son who got there on time and searched with his light and got nothing. Other than those two things it was a great weekend !!

Staff was amazing! Food and ice cream on site was a huge plus. Some wear and tear on facilities is showing. The river tubing was a big hit!!

The daily resort fee is charged to everyone even those of us who don’t use the pool etc. For the rates charged the laundry shouldn’t have broken and old washers and dryers. It seems the money goes into things that can put them in a category of resort and charge the extra nightly fee. We used to love going every year but probably won’t return anymore.

Bathroom facilities and pool were unclean. One bath house has no hot water and another was "under renovation" in the summer with no active work going on leaving just one mens facility for use. This is considered to be a resort with a daily charge but there are very minimal amenities and it isn't worth the price. For 3 days they were cutting down large trees all day which was very noisy. This was a great place to stay. Our original plan was for 1night but decided to stay for 2. There were many things for everyone to do at the park and around the area.

Rented the Diamond Lodge from 7-26 thru 7-31 for approximately $3911.70.We specifically rented this unit as it had central AC and could accommodate five guests. AC was not working the first 3 nights.I understand malfunctions happen but it wasn’t till after the 3rd day an HVAC technician came out. I was surprised at the way things were handled by KOA: no apology, AC window units nor extra fans.

This was our first experience with a KOA and overall it was pretty good. We were disappointed with the activities schedule online vs what actually happened for the week and it was disappointing not being able to check in any earlier than 3:00. Every hotel or resort we’ve ever stayed in has been available for check in at least an hour early. Amenities were fun and everyone had a good time though.

This was the best vacation! The staff is amazing! Polite, informative, very helpful! We stayed in the new Glamping' Pods above the mining area. Great site, very serene, quiet and very comfortable. The Pods are perfect for us that prefer modern yet simple accommodations. We will be staying again next year!!

We stayed in the new camp area across the street from the store, laundry & pool area. This part of the camp had a fish-catch & release pond. It was lacking trees and shade, but overall, this was a very nice, spacious, quiet campsite. Would stay here again, and request this part of the camp again.

We stayed 4 nights in their new area. It is nicely done with enough foliage to be somewhat secluded. Didn't see many staff in this section although we did call for firewood and they brought it immediately. We would definitely stay again.

overall great campground - like the amenities. things that could be updated - Pool very old and needs repair or replacement lots of cracks in the concrete. Water pressure @ sites some of the worst I have seen - ended up filling my tank and running off my own pump. Bathrooms were being upgraded during peak camping season, not sure that was a good idea. Place was clean staff was awesome

I was beyond disappointed with our stay. After a long day of driving, we arrived to our cabin and it was about 90 degrees inside and humid. We almost didn’t find the AC hidden behind the table and it took about 6 hours to cool the bedroom down because there was no fan or AC in it. If you need smaller than a large, don’t plan on getting a souvenir shirt or sweatshirt either. Worst experience ev

Campground is clean, friendly staff. Herkimer Diamond Mines has discontinued the community swim lessons and day camp for the local kids. That was disappointing to see. Otherwise a good stay. Prices are too high for families. That was obvious from the number of vacant sites.

We had a great time! Missed my coffee first thing in the morning around 7 but it was available after 8 when the camp store opened. Employees are friendly and very appreciative of the campers.

We stayed in the campground that is across the street from the main part. The road to get up there is horrible. Needs to be paved. The RV sites were too close to each other. No way would we be able to sit around the fire pit! We usually travel with at least 3 other RV families. We enjoy sitting around the fire at night. There would be no way we could sit around the campfire.

The website states that there is only 1 tent per tent campsite. However, when we arrived, there were sites with multiple tents stacked on the very small sites. Also, the neighboring site that had 3 tents stacked also had taken our picnic table. The staff did bring us another one right away, which was nice. Now had we known we could have had multiple tents we would have had other family join.

Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
