The mines were more fun then I thought they would be. It was really hot and I got sunburned, but I also found a few sparkles. Once you start finding some you are motivated to stick around. The glamping pods were really nice by the water. The dry cabins are a bit in the sun and I wish they would get some trees planted over there.

The campground was very clean. It was huge. It was on both sides of the street. The one across the street you had to go up a huge gravel road. My only thing I recommend is to put a KOA sign on opposite side of street since we missed the turn to get to our campsite.

My fiancé & I rented a mountainside glamping pod which was not up to good standards. The cabin was dirty. It needed to be swept & mopped along with the linens needing to be replaced. Thankfully we brought our own. The windows on the doors had no frosting on them so you could see directly into our pod. We made our own makeshift curtain out of a blanket we had brought. I was disappointed.

Amazing staff and facilities. Kids had a great time albeit 90 degrees out. We definitely mined some diamonds and when we got our haul appraised, the great gentleman working the counter was incredibly helpful and even have my daughter an amazing stone!

The front desk and the workers are very helpful and friendly. I had to changed my site at the last moment and they were able to help me do that. The golf carts were awesome. Very clean and well kept grounds.

Great stay and staff. Only one recommendation- perhaps post the hours at the snack and ice cream huts in the garden- we were planing to purchase from them Sunday only to find it was closed.

The path to the water was not weedwacked like years past, the bathrooms were very dirty, we did notnhave a picnic table at 1 of our sites, the bench on the other picnic table was all bent and you couldnt sit on it. There was 3 huge holes dug in the middle of the site. We were very disappointed this year. This is a yearly trip for us and we may not book again because of how down hill things got.

The grounds were nice, and so was the atmosphere. The staff was super friendly, and seemed eager to help with any questions we had. However, there was no AC in our cabins as advertised, and this lead to things like medication melting together it got so hot. Most of the women's showers weren't working, and the food vendors weren't open as advertised. The main restaurant was closed for repairs.

Bathrooms need some serious work. The showers were closed in men's bathroom and the bathrooms themselves were very filthy all weekend. Bugs and spiderwebs were everywhere which was not the case about 4 years ago when we here last. Very disappointed since this is the most expensive KOA we've stayed at by far - not worth it and won't be back.

Had a great time! The rain was a downer but there was so many activities and were able to enjoy our awesome campsite. The pool was freezing and my kids were really looking forward to swimming. The creek was a blast though!

When I arrived a family on golf carts pointed and laughed at me and yelled "look out for the Chinese woman driver!" I was mortified and my daughter was with me. I was on edge the entire time. Your staff were great otherwise.

Lovely campground. I wish their dining facility was open daily because we seem to keep missing it when we visit. The park is lovely and well maintained. Lots of open spaces to walk and see the West Canada Creek

While the amenities in the main campground looked great, we were placed in the mountainside area. Being across the street, having to drive up an extremely bumpy road, access to any amenities required getting in the truck and driving down. It is not easily walkable to the main area. In addition, the attendant did not offer to have someone initially take us to our site. I had to ask. Disappointed.

Had so much fun. The bathrooms are clean and the whole camp was safe as so many staff check the entire ground every few minutes throughout the night.

Friendly helpful staff, clean cabin but 3 stars because: showers not operating in our bathhouse (not notified), clogged shower in other, Garden Grill opened hour late, Scoops was out of hot fudge and large cups, pool FREEZING not heated, wasp nests under umbrellas in Garden, inefficient check in (store checkout customers waiting behind lengthy check ins), cabin overrun w Earwigs (in all our bags).

My son and I loved our stay here. The cabin in the miner’s village was perfect for us. We had a lot of fun all weekend and plan to make this a yearly trip. Every staff member was genuinely kind and helpful.

It was a beautiful experience. The creek was easily accessible to my cabin which made my stay much more relaxing. Our cabin had all the necessary things that were needed for the trip. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.

Cabin sites were very close together. Our bed broke in the very early morning, 5:45. We text and called the after hours number and never received a response. We had to wait until the campstore opened at 8 & the only only response was to say sorry. Definitely lacking in customer service. But the bathrooms were clean!

Stayed in the new "Pod" area. The staff was friendly and helpful. The accommodations were nice. I was very surprised at how good the private bathrooms were. The mini fridge was actually a good size with a good size freezer. The only issues we had was the door didn't latch properly so we had to work it and the privacy overlay on the window fell off. Also, the firewood bundle was pretty skimpy.

The sites are tiny. We had to park so far back in our site we couldn’t hardly hook up to water since our slide out would have hit the camper next to us slide out. Thank goodness we didn’t have anyone on the other side of us or we would’ve been so smooshed in idk what we would have done. We lost power in a storm & the electric melted our plug even with our gfi plug on. Some screwy electric th

The Windmill Lodge was superb!! Such a great cabin with lots of space. Super clean overall, well stocked kitchenette and a short walk to the river. Lots of fun amenities for the family - corn hole, pool and great store.

Clean & comfy cabin, great location - right on the river. Loved relaxing by the fire pit after an exciting and successful day at the mine. Pleasant and helpful staff. We will definitely go back!!!

We arrived on Saturday 6/21 and woke on Sunday to enjoy our coffee and breakfast outside at campsite. we were greeted with a gas powered hedge trimmer for quite a while. We called the front office and was approached by a gentleman that said the grounds work needed to be done (on Sunday at 9:30 - !0 am. Right next to our camper when the other camp sites were empty. This was only the beginning

Overall, the KOA was not bad. The site I was at. #84. It was quite narrow. The view was very nice. But the TT next to us was really close to us. And I had to move our class A around a bit to get enough space for the slides and awning room to open. There are trees on both sides of the pad. The grounds were very well kept. And the other campers were courteous and respectful.

We were only staying the night, instead of putting us I. A “ground” level site we were shipped across the street up a steep gravel wash up road in our motorhome towing a jeep. We were away from laundry, pool…and we paid a lot for about 11hours.

Great campground, we'd come back in a heartbeat. Love the common area with food/ice cream trailers and yard games. River sites are awesome, just watch for the poision ivy on the banks!!!

We've been coming to Herkimer for 30 plus years. There is nothing better to sit by the creek with your feet up and a good book. The facilities are always clean and there is always something new every year.

Went with scout troop. Tent sites were in shade, well maintained, clean bathrooms. Very nice staff, would highly recommend.

Friendly staff and clean grounds. We stayed in the newer area of the park that is a large, recent expansion. Site was modest in size but we had no neighbors. The site was also a bit less than level. Possibly due to ground settling on this newer site. Be warned that the newer sections are accessed by a rather sttep gravel road. Be sure your tow vehicle is up to the task.

I received your message and am really disappointed in koa. Our family has held a reunion in Herkimer for over 15 years, bringing 70-80 cousins together making countless memories. It now includes four generations.I found it necessary to cancel some reservations due to family reasons. I was told I would be charged $25 each. Customer service is the key to successful business operations, this is an extremely poor example of that skill. The amount of $25 for each reservation cancellation adds onto an already large amount of money I spend there .Koa would not miss this amount, in my financial life, it matters. It also says a lot about koa and their lack of appreciation for loyal customers

The entire experience was amazing. The cabin was clean. They provided everything needed from dishes and pans to towels and shampoo. Everyone was extremely helpful and pleasant. The mine was a great found some great crystals. Will definitely be back!
