Cons: The campsite flooded. The "make your own jewelry" station at the Diamond Mine was unexpectedly closed for the day. Pros: My kids loved the playgrounds and the lazy river, though I would've preferred a simple upgrade. One load of sand would've made getting into the water better than slogging through the mud. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly. Price was reasonable.

glamping pod was so cute! amazing location. the staff were so friendly. the only reason i didnt give 5 stars were because the main bathrooms were a bit dirty. they werent stocked with paper towels or TP and could use a little TLC. (there were other bathrooms further away from our glamping pod that were really nice, we just had to walk really far to use them)

Another wonderful stay at Herkimer KOA. We love what you've done with the garden behind the office with the repurchased ice cream and food trailers. The outdoor furniture and fire pits are so cozy. Immaculately clean as always. Friendly staff and happy campers!

We loved the Herkimer Diamond KOA! We would love to return and highly recommend! The grounds are beautifully maintained and the mining for Herkimer diamonds is so fun! It's very family friendly for all ages. We stayed in a cabin and visited friends camping in their camper. Both areas are great! The kids enjoyed the park, giant chess, corn hole, swimming, and of course, we all really liked mining!

Absolutely a beautiful campground, with nice amenities; chairs, games, and it is river front! But is has nearly zero wifi or cable, the worst we have encountered, and the toilet/shower facilities are in serious need of competent cleaning; cob webs and mold are pervasive in the showers.

We loved the accessibility to the river and Diamond Mines from the camp. However we booked a camping cabin, per website stated it provided air conditioner but cabin we were put in did not. But camp was nice enough to provide a fan to make it more bearable to sleep in the hot cabin. We will plan to visit again. But book a cabin with a.c. for the summer months.

We had a wonderful family weekend at the Herkimer Diamond KOA. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The activities planned for kids were a hit for our children. Very clean and adorable cabins. So many fun things for everyone! We cannot wait to book our next stay!

We stay at the Herkimer Diamond KOA every year and sometimes 2X because we have family nearby. We travel from Alabama in a motorhome. This time our stay was disappointing. Water pressure was extremely low, never a problem previously. Internet was terrible. Prior, we could pay for high-speed internet and it was fast enough that we could telework from the camper. It was not possible this time.

We really enjoyed our stay. The facility is beautiful and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The solar lodge was lovely and suited our family of 5 well. The mattresses were not very comfortable, however that did not impact our trip negatively. We’re looking forward to the next time when we can visit for longer!

The staff is extremely friendly, the lodging is great, we didn't use any of the amenities but I noticed they offer ice and wood delivery which is a perk. The only thing that disappointed us was that we were really looking forward to having a pizza from the on-site restaurant delivered, and they are only open on weekends.

No worker/Peron available after 6 pm during the middle of week!? Pool not open stated times...see above Same as above with bike rentals.... No propane in grill that was stated that we could use Both of advertised restaurants on site were closed permanently. If I would've know this I would have booked a hotel in town so kids could swim after we get back from mining!

We had a great time at Herkimer koa! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We wanted to rent a golf cart but they were rented already but one renter didn’t show up yet. A few hours later they contacted us back to let us know that they were not coming and we could rent it now.

Herkimer Diamond KOA is a beautiful campground. We stayed Father's Day weekend and our kids absolutely loved it. Plenty activities for the kids to do; crafts, games, biking, and floating down the river. They have a beautiful area with lush green grass and beautiful landscaping with 4 gas fire pits each surrounded by cozy patio furniture. Fireworks were a great touch,We will be back! Thank You!

On the creek listening to the water, great and friendly neighbors and wonderful staff. Great store - got some goodies for grandkids. Sorry that food wasn’t available on site yet.

This is our second stay at the Diamond Mine KOA due to the proximity to a recurring family reunion. The cabins are super cute and convenient for our purpose. However, for what you pay some improvements should be made. Mattresses on the sofa bed and in lofts are old, lumpy and uncomfortable. The bathroom linens are small, threadbare and in need of replacement. Our cabin also had an ant problem

I had a great time hunting for diamonds and fossils. Everyone was very helpful. The direct TV connection didn't work, and when I called about it, the response was that we don't have cable anymore. I think you need to update the website for information on times and amenities.

It was great able to let kids run around n play n not have to worry about them the kids made plenty of friends n had a great time loved the fireworks we were able to sit n relax by the campfire we loved being next to the river it was so peaceful . we def will be coming back again .

We stayed in Solar 1. It was clean and had everything we needed. However the water pressure wasn't very good and the hot water was hit and miss. Our son and daughter and families were camping there also. They said the water pressure was low on their sites and were told it was due to the amount of campers on Fathers Day weekend. The fireworks were great, though they started strong.

The things we liked-many activities for the family, friendly staff and well stocked cabins. The only concern was that the cleanliness of the cabin could've been better. Microwave was dirty (not cleaned before our visit) and some things needed dusting-like the shelf in the bathroom and the range hood which each had quite a bit of dust on them (have not been cleaned in a while). We love everything about the Herkimer KOA - other than sites book so fast we have difficulty getting in. It's beautiful, clean, ....I'd move right in if I could!

We really had a great time! We were with a group and were a little disappointed to be so far away from everyone else, but it all worked out. I did have to call the emergency overnight numbers for an urgent concern and left a message and didn't hear back so I hope it was tended to. Cabin bed was uncomfortable We have already shared our itinerary with others. We really did enjoy ourselves

Everything was great. My only complaint is how far the bathrooms are from the tent spots and how there wasn’t a water spicket anywhere near the tent spots. We were at tent spot 100.

Everything was good except in lot 83 there was zero WiFi … nothing would connect the entire time there. No phones, no laptops and no TV so that was a complete bummer!

Was a resort. But didnt see hottub Had fireworks that night with no warning, nice. But our dogs dont like them should have had signs or told us on checkin. Other than that. Nice koa as usual

We were only here for one night and it rained most of the time. Our campsite was very nice and clean. Huge campground with lots to do. Their frisbee golf was a lot of fun. Great views of the river . Friendly staff

Had some good points and some bad points. Staff was friendly and helpful. Park appeared to be run down. Advertised cable was included, but there was no cable. Firewood was out of stock for most of the stay. They have a nice river to tubing, but staff stacks all of their shrubbery that they burn right next to where you enter the water. Overall it wasn’t the best or worst place we’ve stayed.

Amazing facility. There were so many activities to participate in throughout our stay. The diamond mine is so much fun. The food was great. The staff was fantastic. We staying in a deluxe cabin that had all of the things we needed (linens, dishes, towels, cooking utensils, soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc). We didn't really need to pack anything other than clothes and a hair dryer :)

They could be a little more helpful by taking you to your site had to back down dead end road for the price to stay the sites are a little close.

The employees were super nice and very responsive. The campground is excellent. The diamond minds are great. I have nothing negative to say about the entire trip. It was a joy amd a pleasure and I appreciate every thing every one does to make it such.

We had a nice, relaxing, peaceful time enjoying the outdoors while still having modern amenities available as needed. My family has been coming to the Herkimer KoA since I could barely walk and it is always a pleasure and a treat to be able to make it back out and see it in such good condition.

Enjoyed the campground and mine and we will be back next year too. Only suggestions we could make is to have a HOST CAMPER well signed near the office for after hours help. And active cable TV would be a great RE-addition.

This a first time for all of us and was different. I had fun even though the rain had to remind us that we're powerless when nature brings the rain. Several diamonds were found including several decent sized ones. Prices in the shop were a bit steep for my budget but the little experience I've had with Crystals kinda shows what we all know...quality is not cheap. I do wish I had brought a few larger rocks back as I now have the means to cut into them. I did grab a few that should look nice after a session in the rock tumbler.

We camped here last weekend for their season opening. The staff was so very nice at both the Campgrounds and the Mines. Everyone we met was just absolutely just the most friendly and welcoming that we had an amazing time and immediately rebooked to come back when it's a tiny bit warmer. Despite having a rainy and cold weekend, the view of the creek was lovely and my kids had a ton of fun at the mines and my little guy loved the playground.
