The cabin and KOA campground was wonderful! We did have a problem with a wasp nest and the AC in the main room leaking, but maintenance was sent very quickly and the were able to fix the problems. We rented the AAL lodge and looked forward to looking at the stars under the telescope, but it wasn't working. They said the company that installed them were the only ones who could fix it, unfortunately

It was a beautiful and well maintained KOA. We only stayed one night on our travel back home, but would love to return in the future for a longer stay!

very disappointed to find out when we arrived the site I paid extra to have we couldn't have then gave us 3 other options which 2 had campers in no one knew who was even in sites, We had to take the 3rd site which was ok

Had to wait over 2 hours for them to fix our electric when we first arrived. Staff member was staying at the site next to us and was loud and shining lights until midnight when quiet hours are 10pm. Said staff member was also cutting through our campsite at night very close to our tent. On last night staff were doing fast circles around the dumpster while I was trying to throw garbage out.

Our cabin was very clean and the gentleman who was most present around the campgrounds, he seemed to be running the food operations, was extremely pleasant, friendly, funny, and made the experience even better.

Very nice place to stay, unfortunatly we stayed only 1 night. The food trailer was a very good idea for people staying in a cabin, and everything was well prepared and delicious. I would have like that we had a coffee machine in the cabin, the sheets were packed in cellophane for bunk beds. The fridge did not work. Overall it was a good expérience.

Stayed in one of the deluxe cabins with my dog and we had a wonderful time! So much to do and the staff were amazing. The AC and Fridge took the entire first day to get to temp which was rough on a 90 degree day but once they got there they worked great. TV didn’t have cable and staff didn’t know password for the Roku box so I couldn’t use that. But overall a AMAZING trip, will be back for s

Most of our stay was good, but we're not happy that some of our favorite things that have been taken away. You've done away with the Smores, ice cream social, regular bingo, candy hunt, and hay ride. About the only thing that remains is ''camping''.

We loved our stay at Herkimer! The grounds are beautiful and tubing in the creek is a blast �. The treehouse cabin is adorable and provided a perfect introduction to “glamping” for this family. The staff were helpful and friendly. Thank you for a great stay!!!

Main bathroom was filthy and most staff were not engaging. Met Harold, he was a pleasure! Staff doing activities were more interested in talking with themselves. A/C unit was very noisy. Left early, staff didn’t even seem to care, didn’t ask what they could do to extend our stay. Wouldn’t come back, very disappointed

Loved it here! Lots of fun activities for the kids. However, I wish the activities were more spread out throughout the day. They all were clumped together just at dinner time every day. Which made it hard to do all the activities our kids wanted to do AND eat dinner peacefully.

Great, fun place! They are constantly updating the sites/areas. Needs weed whacking or designated paths from tent & RV sites to the creek.

Been staying for 7 years & see improvements! Would like to see basketball & tennis. Site 87 needs to be leveled & the 2 bushes between 87 & 86 should be removed to make it easier to place a camper w/slideouts. Also weedwhack the area between the sites and the water. Our firepit was surrounded by weeds & couldn't use it. Luckily, we were with tenters & used their firepit. We do like this KOA!

We stay is a cabin every year and the focus needs to change . Stop building and take care of the cabins already there . Our A/C wasn’t working and no one came to look at it in 4 days . The bed in solar 2 is awful. The grounds along the river should be trimmed . Have to walk through weeds to get to river. Concerned about ticks. Expanding is great, but don’t ignore what is already there.

This was like our 7th year in a row, with our FD friends group. The park seems to be going the wrong direction yet the rates are through the roof. Our sites kept having breakers that were popping even after they changed it, the ants and goose crap around our sites was awful, grass was high and the bathhouse directly across from us was a disaster Friday and Saturday. Herkimer KOA do better.

We stayed in the big house Diamond Mine .It is a beautiful place .To bad that the furniture and rugs are in such bad shape and dirty b. All the rugs on floors need to be cleanned very badly .No dish washer tablets so we washed our dishes Refridgerater has a bulb hanging in the center Not clean .The house needs a good cleanning before I would rent again .Paying $200 cleanning fee ? Wasnt clean

Beautiful campground with lots to do for everyone. The only drawback for us were the prices. This is definitely a resort and if you can afford it your kids will love it. Staff was great, mine was great and food was great.

We are not used to camping at places where sites are so close together with limited privacy in between. However the river side tent sites were lovely to camp at, peaceful large and well maintained. The amenities provided by the resort were also much loved by all the children in the group. It was also a treat to watch the children’s karaoke and have ice cream in the beautiful communal garden.

This was our first KOA experience and the customer service was excellent. The cleanliness and overall state of the facilities was great. We slept in a camping cabin and friends had a glamping pocket and a creek side tent site, all 3 nice options though creek side is clearly the nicest view. Kids had a blast and we loved the tubing, very unique option for a campground. Kids didn’t want to leave.

I rented a tent site and I also rented a cabin up the road cause of the rain that was forecasted. Good thing I did. It would have been a wet weekend if we stayed there and tented

We were in a glamping pod. It was clean and as advertised. A few small amenities such as a small mirror or pegs on the wall to hang jackets or towels would have made the stay a little easier. Staff was helpful, pool area was clean and refreshing on a very hot day. We did have someone steal our firewood from outside our pod. That was puzzling and disappointing.

We completely enjoyed our stay! Everyone there was so friendly and kind, and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The mines themselves were super fun, the cafe there had excellent service, and the food was delicious. The Garden was absolutely beautiful, The Garden food truck was fantastic, with excellent adult beverage specials, The Scoops ice cream truck was delicious as well. Great!

We stayed in the "WOOF" cabin so we could have our dogs! Very nice set up for them - unfortunately the gate to the dog pen was broken (luckily we have lots of bungie cords with us!). Staff was very friendly and cabin was nice - enjoyed being near the river and watching everyone float by! Like the ice cream stand for refreshments after mining - found lots of treasures again!

You never get a second chance for a first impression. Reception desk employees should be friendly, respectful and inviting. I was almost scared to talk at the check in time.( Herkimer, NY) Ran out of toilet paper( three rolls were provided for 5 people, used five towels for 3 days. When ask for clean towels or more toilet tissue they didn’t have any in stock. Not worth it for the money we spent.

Super fun to be across the street from the mines... no pressure to spend the day. It was hot, we came back to camp for a swim and went back again. Since I have older kids, I would've love to see some pool tables, foosball or ping-pong...or even a basketball hoop. The pool is great but that's about all we did at camp.

Our family of 3 stayed in cabin DK5 in Miner's Village, which was right near the mine. We loved the location and found it to be very private. We could just drive our car across the street to do activities in the main campground. There was an issue with water pressure and toilets not flushing on our first morning, but it was quickly rectified. We loved having both a fire pit and a gas grill to use.

One of the most beautiful and well kept KOA’s in the US! The thought that went into improvements was spot on. Amazing landscaping. The “Garden” is spectacular. Helpful friendly staff, great water pressure and hookups. Not far off NYS Thruway makes it’s a good stop while traveling, yet quiet on a crystal clear creek. Add a pool in the new section on top and it would be absolute perfection!

The original campground seemed really nice with a beautiful creek and lots of stuff to do. Problem was we had a spot on the Mountainside section. This area is across the highway and up a VERY STEEP gravel road. The sites themselves are nice but you are stuck on a hillside with nothing to do unless you want to hike or drive down the hill and across the highway to get to the fun stuff.

Wow What a great experience. We came here with our five dogs from florida and spent the day in the herkimer diamond mine and Christian was an awesome help. Definitely planning on coming back

Herkimer KOA campground is an awesome place to stay for a vacation or just a weekend. Especially if you are going mining at Herkimer diamond mine or other nearby mine. KOA has a ton of activities and amenities on site. From tubing down the West Canada Creek to swimming to disc golf and food trucks. There's a little something for everyone here. The camp store has a ton of supplies to make your camping trip easy and fun. The campground is directly across the street from the Herkimer Diamond Mine, so there is no need to pack the car for a day of fun. Just cross the street! Safely, of course.. Once you're done at the Mine, come back and enjoy all the KOA has to offer.

The camp ground itself is small in comparison to some, but still quite nice. The entire outer ring of the campground has a lovely view of the creek, which is accessible for splashing and fun. Very friendly staff, they do deliver wood directly to your site which is nice. Although, we started in early June nothing was open in the central garden. No ice cream, drinks or food as advertised on the site map you are provided at check in. So I cannot attest to whether or not that is good. The dog park is nice, although a little small, I do like that areas are provided throughout the park for owners to dispose of their dogs waste to encourage clean up. We did venture across the road to the mining portion and rather enjoyed that as well. A little pricy, but we would return for the views.
