We stayed in the tree house up at Herkimer. The place needs some work. The shower faucets were very loose and we were afraid they would break off. The faucet in the kitchen was a bathroom vanity. Couldn't even put a plate under it to wash it. The campground overall was very nice. For the money we spent i expected much better in that cabin. The people up there were also very rude staying there.

I understand this is a popular busy campground which can lead to a lot of wear and tear and the constant need for updates...but some attention should be placed on the visual impact these needed "updates" . Most impressive was the friendliness of the staff. And that garden area is heaven!

Shame on me for not realizing that the campground is spread across a busy road. We were put in the mountainside section quite far from the amenities. The $20 resort fee was another surprise. I would not recommend it for a quick overnight stay. Grounds in the main park were nice and having food trucks was a fun option.

After coming here for years, we probably won't be back. Stayed in solar 2. Shower wasn't usable due to only scalding or ice water. Jumbo chess and checkers missing, table umbrella held together w zip ties, cabin itself falling apart. Ice and wood delivered to wrong cabin How about putting some of that resort fee you charge into maintaining the facilities? Very expensive disappointing experience.

We enjoyed full hook-ups to our camper and the easy access to the creek. I do feel that it is overpriced.

I've been coming here for over ten years now. We have the best time ever. Only issue is the internet doesn't work so you really can't watch tv at night. Which we don't use often at all on vacation but it would be nice to be able to use it

Overall it was a great experience. Did not like the broken down pull-out couch in the medium "deluxe" cabins. And, there's barely any space between the cabins. Way too close. Enjoyed the outside fire pits, the bingo for kids and the location of the cabins right near the water. And the diamond mines were fun and exhausting. All the people were very friendly at the campground. The pool was great.

We had a wonderful time! Checked out the mines and the pool. We very much enjoyed relaxing by the fire, eating outside at the table, and using the adorable porch swing. It was all so clean and made for a great mental break for a couple nights.

Always a wonderful time here at Herkimer. I have a few suggestions. Cabins 77-78 remove the over sized kitcken chairs for more room . Add benches that go underneath the table .and please think about a bigger refrigerator for these cabins . Other than those 2 suggestions. It’s a magical place . Thanks for the memories.

Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. This was our first time. We stayed in a glamping pod on the river - it was breathtaking and perfect. The grounds also were clean and well-kept... AND we appreciate that your store is full of useful items that are very well priced. Our son had a blast meeting other kids. We will be back.

Herkimer KOA is very nice with lots of different things to do. The grand kids enjoyed painting rocks. The only bad thing was I stayed in spot 121 and I could not get my trailer level. But it was still a great weekend. We will be back soon.

This place was great! The entire camp is set up perfectly and conveniently and every one of the staff are very pleasant and helpful. We didn't know about all of the family activities so they were a bonus and our kids had an amazing time!

Wished we wouldn’t have booked a mountaintop site the lower sites across the street were much better otherwise it was a very nice koa

We stayed at the diamond lodge with our children and grand children. The location was great, house layout and deck were fantastic. However, the bathrooms could use an update, the bedding was very well worn but clean and bedspreads needed to be washed at the very least. We would absolutely come again, it’s a lot of fun, but I don’t think we would pay to stay there again.

Beautiful, modern cabin on top of the “mountain” plenty of room for my wife, myself, and our four children. We took advantage of the daily activities they put on for guests and the kids really enjoyed themselves. We had a great stay relaxing and making memories we will all remember forever. We are already planning on making it a yearly trip.

Beautiful campground along the water. Staff was very friendly. We had a pull through site as we were only staying one night. The campground is well maintained. Highly recommend and give yourself at least 2 nights so you can enjoy the great views along the water.

My family will NEVER be back unless a major management change occurs. Human waste was sprayed all over our 2 grills while a lift station that broke was being pumped about 2 ft away from our camper. There were gallons of septic human waste spilled on our site. Management did NOTHING. FULL STORY on Google Reviews. Corp. was NOT helpful. Health Dept. notified. President of KOA contacted & helping.

My family has come here for decades & Herkimer, being a family owned campground for 30+ years, you would think that they would want better for their guest. I have witnessed, sanitary/ septic issues (feces all over grills), poor management & charges on NOT only my account that the so called "Manager" couldn't explain! Unfortunately, because of their management, Herkimer has gone down hill!

Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
