As always, it was a true pleasure staying at YOUR KOA in Herkimer! It is so family friendly and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. One suggestion is that you place some hooks in your cabins in the bathrooms and on one side of the entry door. This would be of great help to hand jackets, towels, etc. Other than that, it is a place we look forward to coming every Labor Day Weekend!

The prices are getting too high, which is most likely why the campground had quite a few open sites. You are going to out price yourselves! We only continue coming holiday weekends because of the water/creek. And, paying a daily activity fee but then you charge for most of the activities is a greedy move. On a positive note, the staff are friendly, and the grounds were mowed and cleaned.

The burger food truck was a huge hit with our family. Best smash burger I've eaten! The campground amenities were wonderful. The pool, pedal carts and recreation activities were a hit with the grandchildren.

It was very nice , lovely setting with the river right behind it . The only thing I didn’t like was how close the sites are together . Just too cramped .

Had a great time. For the most part everything was well kept. Couple issues-pool is dirty, cracked concrete needs updating. Key did not work to rhe cabin. Had to walk from mining cabins to front office just to walk back and wait for someone. Shower hot water didnt work, front burner on stove didnt work. Also mining was not easy. I feel like they mine the good ones for the store.

This place was soooo much better than I was expecting. The staff was super nice. My son had so much to do. And it was really easy for me to walk around with my wine while he rode his bike, played on the bounce house and went to the pool and playground. The river was super fun to play in too. The trees everywhere were beautiful. It was a great place. I will definitely be back

The campground is very nice with lots of activities but the cabin we rented was very expensive and not clean. Also, the pull out sofa bed felt like springs covered in vinyl. We don’t mind rustic, but for over $350 for one night, we expect clean and comfortable accommodations.

This was our first stay at a KOA and it was perfect! The staff here were so friendly and accommodating. We had a great time finding Herkimer Diamonds in the mine, enjoyed sitting near the river and eating our ice cream from Scoops. Our cabin was the perfect size for the two of us and very convenient to the mine. The kids we saw there were enjoying all the fun activities. 10 stars!!!

The cabin was cozy, comfortable and convenient! The fact that full linens (including towels and washcloths) were provided, there was a mini fridge and that there was a swing, chairs, picnic table and sturdy fire pit with a swinging cooking grate was wonderful! Everything was clean and cared for, great activities offered, and very helpful and kind staff. 100% recommend!

It was wonderful. The cabin was great. I didn't expect full bedding and towels. That was a very pleasant surprise! And having a small fridge made a difference as well! Thank you to all staff~

We only stayed for 2 nights, however resort and accommodations were great, clean and well kept. Staff was friendly. Only thing that could have been better is if the pool was a little warmer. I realize we were their when it was a little cooler but thought the pool was heated. Other than that, highly recommend.

As new RV campers, I booked a pull in site that was not perfect for our 30 ft RV. When we arrived at the site and realized the issue the woman at the front desk was super helpful. The river rafting was amazing. We loved mining. The pool was freezing. The flashlight candy and Bingo were fun, although the bingo should have lasted a few more rounds. The water activities and crafter were lack luster.

Need baby swings, fees for 2026 are outrageous! To stay on the same sites would be $407. We have been coming for years but will have to pass for the coming year. Charging a resort fee is ridiculous. Put rules in place for E-bikes. Kids nearly hit my granddaughter and when something was said they laughed turned around and tried to do it again.

I came here back in the 80's and enjoyed it then, and coming back and spending more than a day 3 days this time it was everything I remembered and more. Thank you for the great service and events the staff planed and made happen over the weekend. I will plan on coming back again.

Always convenient and comfortable - our Pullout couch definitely needed a new mattress!!!!! The springs were coming up through and impossible to sleep on - beds comfortable and as e pe Ted but time to update the pullout mattresses for sure!

Loved the waterfront sites (minus the size) and amenities. The sounds of running water was so relaxing! The price is a little steep for the sites, especially when they are crammed right on top of each other. Site 64 has a SLIVER of grass in between the two sites (after the concrete). This is our second year in a row there, again loved the waterfront but won’t be returning until prices come do

The campground was very clean and had lots of activities that were all on the lower level. The upper levels really needed a pool, we had to walk up and down the hillside which was exhausting.

The water hook up was leaking called the front desk told me they would get a hold of maintenance no one showed up to take a look at it. We were in lot 248 we had enough hose to reach the lot next to us so it wasn’t a problem.

The camp grounds are very nice and well maintained. The staff was also very nice. However the price was over $200 for a teeny tiny glamping cabin that barely fit a queen bed and a shower. The mine was ok, nothing special. If the price of the cabin included admission to the mine it would have been ok. Bottom line, very pricey. There were other options and better mines for the price.

They will definitely NOT be winning the KOA award this year. We stayed in KT2 cabin. No stove working had repair man 2 times can’t fix pocket doors will not slide completely open sidewalk so uneven my daughter in law tripped and broke her arm had to call 911 to Utica hospital er. KOA knew what was going on No Concern No compassion No warning or roping off side walk after incident

Worst KOA we’ve stayed at. Pool tiny/crowded, no playground or space on mining side, ponds dirty. The staff was unfriendly, ignored the kids, and were rude at craft night, even yelling at my 13-year-old. The hill blocked by the staff chatting was unsafe. No military/first responder discount, store overpriced. Kids begged to leave early. Needs a major staff/management overhaul; we won’t be back

Me and my friend took her 9 yr old grandson here this past weekend. We stayed in a cozy cabin K16. Fresh linens provided, very clean, rustic, cute. This particular one did not have a bathroom but it was very close. Pretty, well maintained site with playground. Staff is FABULOUS and Phil gave our car a jump start as we were trying to leave with a dead battery. Outside of bathroom big sinks with Dawn soap/hot water to wash dishes. All the cabins and sites are beautiful and we had the mohawk to wade in a stone's throw! The shops are beautiful and he had fun in the mines. Not 1 piece of garbage, anywhere. I highly recommend this beautiful place, especially with a family. U can be in the thick of things or more secluded! JUST GO and see this 'GEM' of Upstate, NY!

Overall this is a great campground with excellently maintained common spaces, clean showers and bathrooms, a super fun activities schedule and friendly staff. Also its located directly across the street from the KOA Herkimer Diamond Mine, so we walked there which was convenient. We rented a glamping site for 4 which is suitable for a night or two. The only issue was the actual room was dirty ( had dust and animal hair everywhere ) the coffee maker didnt work and the towels provided were super small. I'm still giving 5 stars and still 100% recommend staying here. The beds were comfortable and the sheets decent. Many of sites, including the one we rented, are facing the river. Ours had a sweet little pourch and a swinging chair for two. All that makes up for the dirty room. Cause clearly this place is awesome and I feel lucky that I got to stay here.
