Campground is nice and many improvements are being made. I believe it was the owners came to my site at 11.30pm and claimed we were being to loud . We had no radio on and were within 5 feet of each other just talking. They were extremely rude about it saying “you should say your sorry and go in your camper like the people around you “. Kept threatening to kick us out in the morning.

The Owners were extremely rude to our group. They would drive around after 11 and instigate campers who were quietly enjoying themselves. Instead of enjoying ourselves camping, were on eggshells the entire time. The amenities were nice, but it wasn't worth the hassle of dealing with such difficult people.

The camp itself is very nice. The owners are unbelievable. I now believe I have it figured out. They tell people to leave due to unbelievable reasons, sometimes because of a simple question , seriously.Sharon one of the owners made it very clear to me that the cabin and tent campers are not liked because according to her they always cause problems. They tell you to leave they keep your money ..

We will NEVER be back to Erie KOA again. Me and my family were screamed at including my 8year old son. I have never been more disrespected more in my life. This also happened to multiple families that were there during our stay. The owner Sharon is very rude unprofessional and she should not be working in customer service.

We will never go back to this KOA. The owners were very rude and disrespectful to our kids and friends. The owner Sharon was yelling and threatening to call the cops at my friend's autistic child who was visibly shaking out of fear and Sharon's husband called the next day and his response to her being upset was "Well, maybe that’s why you should have had her inside then.” Read that again.

The campground itself and the facilities are actually very nice. But the rules are enforced to the letter at all times and that made it feel at times like a prison camp. Owners stalked campers at night to enforce "quiet time" which should be called "curfew". Friends were verbally accosted in front of their children. Very uncomfortable. Won't be back. It is a shame.

The staff was rude and ignorant. The quiet time was unreal. You could not stay up. They wanted you to go to bed before 11. They wanted you to go to bed. And I would never do it again never never. I would never do it again, nesir.

Very nice park. Clean and well kept. New owners of three years are doing renovations and additions to the park and they will be nice when complete. Owners Sharon and Jamie are great! Follow the rules about no outside firewood and stay off the new grass and you will be good. Lol... common sense and being respectful.

Horrible!!! Sharon is a freak of nature who by the way is the owner. She yells at adults like you would not believe. Read the reviews before you book the KOA. KICKED US OUT because we were quietly sitting by our fire at 11:02. It is like a prison not a campground. I stress READ ALL THE REVIEWS they are all true about the owner’s behavior.

Our porch light didn't work on our cabin. The wifi did not work. Our last night, we were threatened to be kicked out for talking with our neighbor around our campfire at 1130pm. We were not talking loudly, AT ALL! Place has turned into a prison camp. I've been coming to Erie KOA since I was 8 (I'm 35) and have never been scolded like that ever. The cabin was falling apart and looked like it had previously had some infestation that ate away the wood. Then the owners are rude, unprofessional and ruined the stay after kicking us out for talking quietly on our porch, with no refund o. The night lost. We would've been spending a lot of money making that our normal camp ground but the owners have made sure we will never stay at any koa again.

Sharon, the owner, and her husband made the entire weekend stay so miserable with constant monitoring and insignificant grievances that we felt like we were being watched. Ten minutes after arrival my 13 year old daughter got in trouble for being in the water wars section, being told she can’t be there without an adult when I was standing right there with my dog on a leash! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Great staff. Good sites.. once the new site improvements are completed it will be wonderful. Only suggestions would be a paved area for younger kids to ride bikes that have difficulty with stone, and a bigger off leash dog area.

It was fantastic stay. Very clean and maintained. Even though they were short staffed they met all of our needs. Despite some of the recent reviews, owners were very friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back for future stays.

Grounds were clean, pool maintained and refreshing, laundry facilities adequate… perhaps understaffed as none of our attempts at phoning were successful.

We've been going here for years and it's always very well kept and always enjoy our stays there. We had a newer patio site, which was very clean and quiet. Looks like they are updating many of the sites there with more gravel and landscaping. We all went fishing in the pond and we all caught bass, bluegill, catfish and saw some big turtles, as well. Definitely recommend this KOA, thank you!

The park is located 12 minutes from Lake Erie. The camp ground is especially beautiful with a nice heated pool. The owners and staff are very friendly

The owners are extremely rude. After witnessing Sharon and her husband verbally attack several other campers, my family was left on edge worrying that we could be next! While we understand the are rules to be enforced it appeared the owners were looking to fight with and belittle anyone who made a mistake. They would approach campers yelling at them, instead of calmly addressing the issues.

The female owner is a wacko. She yelled at us for having 7 people, not caring we paid for 7 people. Tried to kick us out after our did barked at her after she stepped on our lot and aggressively approached us. Lied to everyone saying we could not burn our own wood as there was a county wide ban on outside wood. Went to two local campgrounds and they told us that was false.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I felt that they were very professional. I love the idea that the owners inforce the 11pm Quiet time. I think the KOA is very clean and they have a very nice shop that's well stocked. The pool is small for the amount of people staying.

The campground was well kept; all the folks camping there were very kind and friendly. The only kids activities were a movie each night in the pavilion, nothing else. The campground owners were rude to our family, as well as several others camping during the same time frame. Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews before we booked our site, as it seems this is an ongoing problem.

We aren’t coming back because of the rude owner. The owner needs to take classes on how to speak to people. I heard about her on the internet and from a friend—It’s all true. She will be the demise of this KOA. We aren’t paying for a vacation to be bullied! Construction was nonstop noisy and could not enjoy being outside the camper.

Whole campground was clean and landscaping was maintained. Site was gravel pull thru and very level, hook ups were newer with no issues, bathrooms were clean, excellent heated pool and all amenities were in great shape & not old. Definitely on our list of KOA’s to visit again

We have stayed at several KOA’s and never have we been treated the way Sharon and her husband Jaime. They absolutely are dreadful and we will be telling everyone and never EVER staying there again! Please take a moment to read the reviews on Yelp and trip advisor ! You will never want to step foot at the camp ground !

Sharon and Jamie Kockler are some of the most aggressive terrible humans I've ever met. She came out yelling and disturbing quiet far beyond any sound made from any surrounding campsite. I think she's an unstable person looking for confrontation. At Erie KOA it's not quiet hours, it's confined hours. We were forced into our cabin when we were sitting quietly by our fire.

The owners were so helpful and friendly. The park was beautiful and had loads of stuff to do! I was very pleasantly surprised that the laundry room was well equipped and very clean. Would highly recommend this campground!

We met the owner when we checked in and he seemed very pleasant. However, in the days that followed he was very rude with us. Our children were singled out and asked not to do thing other children were doing. Also, there weren't many additional activities for the family like we've seen at other KOA campgrounds.

We just spent one night at this quaint KOA. It's our last overnight stop on our way back to Canada from FL. This KOA is a bit smaller than others but we love the quietness of it. There are plenty of things to do while staying there. Great place for families. There are several sites and a whole upgraded section of sites which I believe were 30 Amp. We required a long site for our 45' Motorcoach and the site we were given was amply long enough to keep our tow vehicle attached which is a huge bonus if you're just staying overnight. Unfortunately we had a bit of trouble making the turn into our spot and damaged the grass a little in the process, but Jerry (the Manager) was stellar at making sure all was well. Thankyou Jerry. We had the best experience at this KOA. We were actually upgraded as there had been so much rain- they wanted us to have a dry spot. It was quiet- well kept and in a great location. Host was very friendly. We will come back!

First off, this campground was opened early for the Total Eclipse event. We were handed a thoughtful gift bag of eclipse related items. The grounds are beautiful and clean. We were in space #27, a graveled area fitting our 35-foot fifth wheel truck, Our campsite was surrounded by families with pets who were all so friendly. A huge "THANK YOU" to the owners and staff for making our camping experience amazing!! The hard work put into making sure us campers had what we needed was much appreciated.
