Our 1st time back in 20 yrs. Very clean campground, friendly, helpful staff. Disappointed ponds had not been stocked in 2 months-it was Thanksgiving wkend. Sure that's no fault of the KOA. Had a great spot by the pond for no good reason. Camp store Items, in particular, tumblers very expensive, but we bought 2 at $32.95 ea.KOA hoodies only avail. in sm med - needed L & XL. :( We'll be back!

Stayed over thanksgiving and found the campground to be not very well maintained and somewhat chaotic. None of the kids / family amenities advertised are really available in this “off season” but the campground was very full. It would have also been better in our opinion to be on the west side of the national park - more is over that way. Bathrooms were not clean and neither was the indoor poo

Perfectly level sites. Clean restroom and shower. Staff is helpful and friendly. The only downside is that river access is limited.

What a beautiful campground. The bath houses are so fresh and clean. Love the spots that accommodate puppies. Sites are roomy and level.

We stayed at Cherokee Great Smokies/KOA while going to Bryson City to ride the Polar Express train. Our campsite was very spacious. I’m sure we’ll come back again.

Mostly a nice and quiet stay. Though prices are slightly high, location is great, staff was helpful, and sites decent. The fact that many sites have sewer and water within about a foot of one another is not great - seems like a legitimate sanitation/contamination concern. We were glad to have moved to a pet patio site where there was reasonable distance between the two. Outstanding WiFi!

The campground is well maintained & clean. We enjoyed all the amities. The only concern is the showers are locked early evening thru mid-morning. I understand this is for security reasons however maybe add a door with a code to get into the shower area. Our family members like to shower late at night & early in the morning. I realize two showers are in the bathrooms but we had 15 people with us.

Biggest plus was the 5g service for streaming..What a convenience! The Campground and store was above and beyond. Impressive valets to site.

The campground was great, but the bathrooms were extremely dirty. They appeared to not have been cleaned in a long time and did not appear to be cleaned during our 4 day stay.

Beautiful and peaceful fall setting; we thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility and hospitality I was however disappointed with the bathrooms' cleanliness since I have stayed at several KOAs and have always been impressed at how clean and updayed they have always been. Other than that, we were very pleased to spend a few days there.

Great rv park. Close to everything we like. Park is clean and well laid out. Staff is friendly and helpful. We will continue to stay at this park.

The Great Smokies KOA is a wonderful campground. I was surprised at the wonderful pool area and the playground was a huge hit. There is a wide variety of campsites that are able to fit any size rig. It was an easy drive to the National Park entrance, I would highly recommend this campground!

Wow! The campground has improved so much since we stayed there 3 years ago. Bathroom/shower clean and updated. The staff in the office were helpful and courteous.

Probably the best KOA or RV park we have ever stayed in. Love the heated indoor pool, the size of the RV sites, the friendly staff, firewood delivered to us, the very well-equipped laundry room, the nearby river and virtually no traffic noise. The only thing that was less than stellar were the restrooms and showers. They could be a lot cleaner and it is time for upgrading and remodeling, for sure.

It was the best it has ever been! We arrived at home safe and sound at 6:00 pm on Monday November 6. We had a blast at KOA this visit! There wasn't a lot of campers and you could enjoy the campground silence, the beautiful art that Jesus leaves on our trees during this time of the year! Thank you again for all of your generosity. Staff was helpful, lots were spacious. Lots of room for kids & families. There were a lot of pets, the dog park could be bigger to give them more exercise.

Absolutely love this campground! So much for my grandchildren to do, just amazing! Clean cabins and campsite, we rented both in our week here. Very accommodating staff, they will help you with just about anything!

Awesome time, spent with my brother. We had a good site on the river. Very peaceful and relaxing. The place was very clean The trout fishing was awesome. Will definitely be back soon

This is a great KOA and camping spot in general! The staff were extremely helpful from pre-arrival to late check-in, and all onsite needs once we were there. We rented a deluxe cabin which was well appointed. The location is just far enough out of downtown Cherokee to be quiet and serene yet just a few minutes drive and you're right at the Oconolufte visitor's center in GSMNP. We requested help with getting a cooking grill grate added to our campfire ring and not only did the office staff kindly request it, but it was already swapped out by the time we walked back to our cabin.
