What to Do While Camping in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania
The area is full of outdoor recreational activities  to make family memories and are easily accessible from your home base at our Bellefonte campground. You can find gems and fossils at our Black Bear Mining Sluice or if your family is in the mood for a full-scale adventure you can schedule a tour of Penn's Cave, America's only all-water cavern and wildlife sanctuary located only 30 minutes away! You can also spend the day at our bike park on-site at our campground near State College, PA, offering course designs for various skill levels. 

For fun family activities like fishing and hiking, try out nearby Bald Eagle State Park right down the road! You can head out for a day on the lake to try your hand at catching fish like bass, blue gill, catfish and more at Sawyer Dam, a 14,000-acre lake. Do not forget to get the full camping experience by checking out the stunning scenery while you hike around the area.

There's so much to discover near our campground in Central, Pennsylvania. When camping near State College, Pa it's easy to take a short drive to visit Penn State University, taking in a vibrant scene and learning about many fascinating museums. When you are done there, head to Curtin Village to check out an iron-works plantation operated in the 1800s. Do not forget to walk around Victorian Bellefonte, taking in the stunning architecture and rich culture this historic town is known for. Regardless of where your interests lie, our Penn State campground is conveniently located near it all!

Penn's Cave

America's only all water cavern and wild life sanctuary! This unique cavern was formed by the bed of a shallow sea that existed millions of years ago. An immense spring of unknown origin flows into the cavern and allows you to ride the one-mile tour entirely by motorboat.
