Devils Tower, Wyoming
For an out-of-this world camping experience just take your RV across I-90 from Mount Rushmore to Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming. Devils Tower was the first ever National Monument dedicated in 1906, and was also featured in Steven Speilberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind. There’s nothing else in the world like seeing the geologic formation rise out of the rolling prairie, and you can camp right next door at the Devil’s Tower KOA campground.
Crater Lake National Park, Oregon
You would be hard pressed to find a more beautiful place to visit in the continental United States than Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the United States and the seventh deepest lake in the entire world. The stunning blue color of the water will undoubtedly leave you impressed. There are plenty of activities in the area, but the view is enough to keep you entertained for your entire visit. Stay at the Klamath Falls KOA while visiting Crater Lake National Park.
Blue Ridge Parkway, North Carolina and Virginia
For people who prefer to stay on the move during RV trips, the Blue Ridge Parkway is one of the best places to visit. The twisting and turning roads offer solitude and stunning vistas.
