This is a great campground with a large number of sites and lots to do with kids. It was a nice place to walk around with my dog. It's nice to have so many individual showers separated from the restrooms. Our only criticism would be that no lip to keep water out of dressing area, no shelf to put shower products on, and no mat to step on when you get out of the shower.

The staff was great. They could always be seen driving around keeping an eye on the property and keeping it clean. One drawback is upon arrival, having to make that U-Turn for the registration parking was crazy. Luckily we arrived on a Wednesday. Would hate to have had to deal with that on a Friday during the busy season. Pool was very nice.

Stayed for 5 nights Sept 2025. Grounds well maintained, staff helpful and friendly. Lots of amenities especially for families. Children should not get bored at all and it had enough stuff to do that a break from the beach to just enjoy the camp would be a success for most families

Friendly staff. Grounds were clean and nicely landscaped. Maintenance was always present cleaning something. Sadly we had torrential rains and even lost power overnight so we were not able to enjoy the campground. When we arrived it wasn’t raining so we did use the laundry facilities which were nice.

Absolutely love this campground. Staff is responsive and friendly. Campground is immaculate including bathrooms. We always reserve the PawPens where we can let our pups run free and no other dogs are allowed. Big plus for us!! Kudos to this campground!!!

went for a local concert, very satisfied, had to cut trip early because a grandchild was admitted to hospital. Management approved a refund of the days left which was extremely nice of them and made my wife and I very happy. Great amenities, site was very nice, shaded, and quiet. We will be back. Only issue at all is a little hard to get in contact with by phone. No answer or machine.

The camp ground has really changed since my last visit. As always, your pets are allowed to come with you which is a big plus for us. There is all kinds of room to walk them. The grounds are beautifully set up and nice kid play areas.. The pool is big and it has a lazy river and it plays country music. What more can you ask for. The store has every thing that you forgot to bring. Great place

Site was very unlevel. Was not able to use the WiFi which is one of the reasons we chose the KOA. Called the office and was told "well sometimes it doesn't work" meanwhile I'm looking out my RV window at a repeater right at my site. I texted the error message to staff and never received a response. Maybe they would be more interested in getting it to work if everyone demanded a refund.

Loved the pool (this was the best). Loved the Trolley to Virginia Beach Boardwalk. The shower was great. The staff members were all very friendly. The only thing I don't like about KOAs is the sites are too close together. The group behind us was loud too late (after 11:30 p.m.) To improve this it would be nice to have quiet time after 11 p.m. The State Parks do and they patrol to enforce it.

We were in the back, and the location was not very nice. In fact, compared sites it was bad. The restroom were nice but they smelled bad.

VB KOA is our favorite campground! From the location being wonderful for my boys to see the jets, hanging out at the Pocket Park, to the heated pool helping us hold onto Summer for a few more weeks… it’s wonderful! On the ride home, I’m already looking at when we can come back.

Great stay and attentive staff. The campground is beautiful with so much to do. Our site had a ton of fallen leaves we had to scoop out of the way by hand in order to have a place to set our chairs and set up our dog pen, but other than that everything was perfect.

Really loved the campground. We were in town for a family wedding, so we didn't get a chance to utilize all of the activities at the KOA and in areas around, but for sure we'd come back there again and check things out.

We have stayed here before and is one of our favorite campgrounds. Everyone of their staff is ALWAYS super friendly and helpful. The sites are level, the place is always very clean. There is a well-equipped camp store, and (2) nice, clean heated pools. There is usually a food truck in the morning and evening, and quite often a band.

We stayed for the weekend because we had football games near by. Our family had an absolute blast. There is enough to do just at the campgrounds to keep you entertained for the weekend but the trolley was a super nice way to get to the beach. The staff was fantastic and super kind and helpful. Bathrooms were clean.

I brought my four kids here for tent camping one night and they didn't want to leave! We had a blast-- there are so many activities and everything is very walkable. We enjoyed the lawn games, pool and lazy river, live music Saturday night, and all the clean bathrooms and amenities of the shop. Our tent site had our own fire pit for us to cook hotdogs and roast s'mores. We will definitely be back!

Very nice campground. Well maintained facilities and manicured landscaping. Hard to find fault with this operation. Great restrooms and showers that were squeaky clean. We had 7 inches of rain in one day and there was no mud. Paved roads and plenty of grass. Many of the campsites had concrete pads with patios. This operator should be commended.

prices for your store products are too high. ie: bundle of fire wood $10.60 each. at home in Pa. average price is $8.00 each. Ice cream sandwiches for $6.00. I checked your camp store and had sticker shock.

Outstanding facility with very professional and curtious host who do a fantastic job. The facility is always well maintained with lots of activities. The pools and lazy river are exceptional and there are many outdoor areas to entertain all ages of guests. Great job and keep up the great work.

They are meticulous about caring for the grounds. LOTS of activities for all ages. Friendly and helpful office staff. Cons: the sites are pretty tight and the grounds crew didn’t seem friendly.

easy to follow directions to KOA Virginia Beach; all staff were pleasant and helpful; our site was level and shaded by pine tree; laundromat was great as machines took quarters, no digital account needed. Enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely amazing! My family and I have stayed at a number of different KOA campgrounds. This is definitely among my favorites! The amenities are wonderful, the staff was great and overall had a great experience. The tent Camping site was one of the biggest I've ever had. The kids and adults all love the lazy river, and the pool set up. It has not only the lazy river, but two pools, and they splash pad. They played great music at the pool as well. The bathrooms were plentiful and clean. The service was wonderful as well as all the people. Would love to be able to go back there soon! I also have to mention that as a aviation geek, I loved seeing and hearing the fighter jets, F-18s, flyover during the day. It was never too early in the morning or late at night when they were flying, so it wasn't an issue as far as sleeping. However, they are very loud so that is something you need to be aware of. But to me, it only added to the experience in a positive way! While there we did visit the USS Wisconsin, a World War II era battleship. I would highly recommend that especially for anyone that enjoys history. Additionally, while on the way to Camping, our car broke down in Pokomoke city. Luckily a local shop had their mechanic come in and replace our alternator the same day. This meant we didn't arrive to camp until 9 o'clock instead of our expected 2 o'clock check-in. Despite this, we had no issues checking in after dark. I let them know we would be arriving late and they left the reservation Camping pass and everything in the box for us when we arrived, which was great. Very thankful to all the staff there.
