The roar of jets passing overhead at low altitude way disruptive and drowned out conversation. The leaf collecting machines woke us at 8:30am!! The elderly staff person driving the golf cart would not return our greetings and appeared hostile and unwelcoming. As a black family, we sensed there might have been some racial animus involved.

We stayed at the campground the week between Christmas and New Year. It was great and made a good basecamp for us to reach out to places that we love in the area. The staff was great and we were pleased that the office was closed on New Year's Day so that the staff could have quality time too. It is comforting to see. We did not know about the lights and will try to see them in the future.

Room had no heat staff did bring space heater the next day unfortunately we didn’t have a stove in this particular room but we will go again boys enjoyed their stay quiet and calm setting

Needed an overnight before heading north into cold weather. Easy pull through and late check in made it easy. Construction in the area makes getting there very trying. The water supply froze and the bathrooms and shower rooms were too cold to use. I know it isn't normal to have temps so low but it would have been nice to have a warm place to get clean.

Stayed through new years with no notice the office would be closed 2 days over the holiday. Laundry room was closed for a week. Was over charged for one of the spots we booked. Used visa gift cards to pay for the stays and was treated less than over it and red flagged even tho I spent hundreds of dollars staying for a couple weeks and have been a loyal KOA member for years. Will never stay again.

Customer service was rude and dismissive. Bathhouse was disgusting and got worse during our 5 day stay. FILTH in corner of bathroom by tub. door facing in bathroom was marred by previous pets. Blind in door was broken at top and askew at bottom. Google review has photos posted & more complete review. Google respon for me to contact THEM via email or phone. This location was EXTREMELY helpful and accommodating as we showed up last minute in need of a place to hook up. Great knowledge of RVs as well.

Booked a last minute stay at a Deluxe Cabin for Christmas. The grandkids enjoyed the loft! Was able to put together a complete meal with the use of the flattop in the kitchen and the gas grill outside. We had a great time and will definitely be returning. They take pride in their assets and it shows.

For all the dog lovers, this KOA now offers two sites that include a personal dog park complete with a covered area, trash/poop bags, and all the tables/chairs to sit and be a complete family. We stayed at one of these sites this week and it was a game changer! I hesitate to share this review because it want it to be a well-kept secret but it's too good not to share! Run don't walk to this KOA!

Quiet & clean for as large as it is. My only suggestion would be to put cameras in dog park & fine or evict people who don't pick up. I used the park every day for my 2 little pups and every day there were numerous HUGE piles. I picked the ones up near where I picked up after my pups on 2 days. I stepped in some early on before I started watching. Darn shame these people are allowed to ruin it.

Was not my favorite KOA trip. Over half of the bathhouse bathrooms were closed. The campground was decently full during our stay, even with it being off-season. One whole bathhouse was completely closed, one open, and one only open with 2 bathrooms. Huge inconvenience as the one with 2 stalls normally have 4+ families staying around it, so half the time had to walk clear across the campground.

Great stay for over the Christmas holiday. Would have liked to see more than 1 shower open for the first half of our stay, though a second was open after Christmas. Will be visiting agin for sure.

Wonderful check in agent, complimentary upgrade to a pull thru with a lovely concrete fire pit and table and chairs area. Very well kept property and all the amenities. Just a little too much highway noise for us, but small issue, outweighed by all the positives.

Called, got help and reservation. Arrived late to find a welcome packet in SILVER box. Good, level site with full hookups. Would be great fun n milder weather. Temps were below freezing. Nice place with kids.

Family emergency. Had to cancel at 4:55 (46 hrs) prior arrival. Was charged a full day$85instead of cancellation fee of $10. UNACCEPTABLE

You all need to update your wi-fi, it is so, so, so slow. You are being overtaken by other KOAs and other CGs across the US that have upgraded their wi-fi so it's lightening fast and not a source of irritation for RV customers i.e. we arrive and get admonished "No streaming, just email." I had to constantly revert to my hot spot on iPhone to get anything on my laptop.

Stayed a month for work. Arrived 5:30pm when office was closed. Spot was close to other campers with dogs that barked 24/7. Would have gladly paid more o be put in a nicer spot that wasn’t next to full timers, many upgraded spots open but the manager wasn’t there for several days to change spots. Jets very loud. Nice playground but non campground residents would often be seen using facility.

This location is great and perfect when visiting the area for a race. Look forward to next visit in March for Shamrock Marathon Weekend.

This was my family first trip at KOA! We had 3 of the Deluxe cabins. We had a time! Nice friendly safe Atmosphere. Staff was Amazing at front desk, even on campground! Everyone was smiling waving and very helpful. Cant wait to come back in the Summer /Spring time. Rooms was nice clean and cozy! Will be returning with my family again.

The size of the cabin was great. It was very chilly inside and the baseboard heaters took a bit to get the cabin cozy. Showering had to be perfectly timed as hot water ran out within 10 minutes. Perfect for my needs at the time.

Would love to come back to this campground during warmer weather, had a nice pool and other outdoor amenities. One down side for me was the dog park. With all the space they have there could have been more than one park. And the dog park they have needs lights for at night. You couldn't see "poop" at night, literally.

The campground is well looks out and looks like an amazing spot for warmer weather. We stay on December 6th in a small cabin. The heat in the cabin was sufficient once it got warmed up. The campground bathrooms were freezing, even though they appeared to have heater vents. They were so cold that we decided not to shower there during our stay. I would not recommend getting a simple cabin in winter.

Just spent 8 days there. We stayed in the basic cabin. The staff would clean the bathrooms multiple times a day. The entire campground was clean and well maintained. The pools were wonderful. Close to all the fun things to do. We loved watching the planes overhead. 10/10 would stay here again.

Nice and clean family friendly facility. Maintainance was ok but uneven. Toilet and shower facilities are better where the more expensive campers are.

We stayed in a 4 person cabin . The cabin was small but doable for 3 girls. We each had our own little space / it had a propane gas grill and seating table and chairs outside and fire pit. All beddings come with it along with a small kitchen area with microwave and toaster and Kuric coffee maker, and a small refrigerator. I've stayed here before as a tent camper , as a tiny cabin dweller and also in a larger deluxe cabin. I'm a grandmother and I've enjoyed spending time with my grandkids here every-time we've stayed. They now have a wonderful lazy river ( bring your own floats) and two pools besides, the kids love the bounce and like to play ping pong , pickleball, and 3 or 4 other activities in that area to play along with the golf carts and bicycles etc. you can rent. My favorite part of this place is how close it is to other activities, here are two zip lining places one is behind the park and it was so much fun for my teenage granddaughters this visit . There is another one at he Virginia Aquarium. Both of theses activities are a few blocks away ,along with a really nice water park called Ocean Breeze less than a mile , all on the same road as KOA.so if you are a vacationing person who likes to keep kids busy, there is so much for them to do. We also rode the trolley to downtown, it lets you off and picks you up on 18th street and it's close to the pier and shopping and it's a fun way to spend a few hours at the beach!. You can also take your own car and drive to the beach, it's an easy drive away. And they have paid parking and it's usually a small walk across the street to the beach.
