This was our first stay at Thompson/Grand River Valley KOA. It's a beautiful campground & the staff were very friendly & helpul. We had a great time & we will definitely be back.

The property and the staff was nice. However the people that are permanent there made us feel like we didn't belong. The kids that were there were absolutely terrible to our kids saying that we were just weekenders & they don't have to let them play on the jump blob, or in the lake. 1 of the boys there even pants my 10 year old. The over all feel was, the permanent people run the show

We enjoyed our 4th of July weekend, fireworks were great, kids enjoyed the pool and beach. Playground was nice. The only reason I gave a 4 and not a 5 was the campsite. We couldn’t enjoy the entire area because it was muddy around our campsite idk if it was from the pool overflow, but with toddlers that was a pain and I couldn’t relax. Over all nice staff, clean area, with plenty to do.

We loved the pool, fishing lake and swimming lake with the blow ups. The Snack Shack was a definite bonus!

If you want privacy & quiet this is the place to be. Lots of activities. Secluded campsites in the woods. If you're a tent camper I've never seen so many nice private campsites. Great helpful staff too

It is easy to write a good review if you have a ball, our stay was much different. The day after our arrival our class A motor home shorted out its transfer unit. We discovered the problem and the charred unit before our rig caught fire. Every person in your employ worked so hard to help us, every guest was helpful. It is good to know there are kind, problem solving people at work at KOA.

The campground had lots if activities for the kids as well as adultsz. Pets were very welcomed, everyone of the staff were very personable and helpful. The grounds are well maintained and very clean. Actually hated to leave my, will go back.

We enjoyed the stay and amenities but felt the pool needed more chairs/tables. There is very little parking also - even to check in there weren't any available spots and it was confusing where to go for check in. The golf cart rentals - there weren't any available. The campground is clean and we liked that there were multiple things to do while there and felt very safe. Close to area attractions!

We arrived and backed right in to our site with ease, 1st try! Everyone was very helpful and friendly. Employee-Austin even let us borrow a fishing pole and tackle box. My kids loved the pool, jump pillow, playground, and the "beach". We were gone for hours and never left the campground. Best campground stay we've had.

Staff was the highlight. Driving in did not feel welcoming and the site was awful. When you say you have slides on both sides you don't give a site with bushes down the side that you have to put your slide in. Not nearly enough restroom and showers and where was the shelter in case of emergency??

Plenty of space between camp sites. Appreciated the dog park, playground &pool. Campers were polite and respectful of each others space. Would like to see improvements in the walking trails which were impassable and would appreciate a larger variety of ice cream snacks. Several members of our family are gluten free and the only thing we could eat out of the ice cream vending was the push ups.

The variety of things to do and the walkability of the campground was wonderful. I would suggest cutting the grass. There was one incident where a bearded guy on a golf cart "yelled" at one of the guests in a black truck for speeding. We were behind the guy and he was going 6 miles an hour. It really didn't set well with any of us. He was wrongfully disrespected & "yelled" at. VERY off-putting.

Great time. Greeted at the gate by a very courteous staff. Clean park. Grandson loved the pool and loved the fishing as well. We will be back. Also close to Lake Erie and there is a Renaissance Fair that is just down the road as well. From one veteran to another thank you for your service.

Brief overnight, was very impressed with condition of the grounds as well as the amenities offered for campers. Def want to come back and stay longer next time.

The staff is very friendly and professional. The campground is clean and well maintained. Jake from the maintenance and grounds crew was awesome helping to guide camper parking. The place has a great kid, family and dog friendly atmosphere.

Staff is very responsive. Close to Geneva on the Lake an hour + to Cuyahoga National Park. The road in is gravel.

Went for family vacation- was originally told that Geneva on lake was 15min away and really was half hour. Our site lost power twice and store workers didn’t answer phones. We had a dog one that we paid extra for and it was not well kept (no bags leaves all over & cot was dirty) Orherwise the staff was friendly and manager was a great guy.

Grounds are kept very nice. Felt comfortable using the shower house. I appreciate the staff willing to deliver supplies to your site and how friendly and accommodating they are . Maybe need a few more chair around the pool but we enjoyed the pool very much.

It was a great stay. They were able to accommodate us as the other KOA that we were going to stay at had many amenities shut down. The new bathroom was great with AC. However, the last two days they locked it up so we couldn’t use it. This was the only thing that was inconvenient.

Great stay. We come a couple times a year and really love it there. I would recommend adding new gravel to the driveways and pads or even better pave it.

nice campground, but we spent 3 hours on arrival night trying to get complete power to my rig. definitely a plug issue on the campground side. made our first night very frustrating. Then on Friday evening campground was without power for @ 3 hours. not sure what happened, but no communication from anyone, Mgr seems like a nice guy and hard worker, but seems a bit overwhelmed. Needs more staff!!!!

Nice campground. I only stayed overnight - and it had been raining for what seemed like days. That certainly isn’t the campground’s fault - nor the gravel roads that had potholes. I’m going to assume that got fixed after things dried out some.

This was our first time at Thompson KOA. My son and his family live nearby. They have a 5 year old daughter, Emmy. Emmy was never bored for the 4 days we stayed. Thompson KOA has so many things to do she had a blast. We are making plans for a return trip this fall. The staff were very helpful especially Chris. The pizza was amazing!

This is probably one of the most beautiful and friendliest KOAs we have ever camped at. We were only able to stay one night but hope to be able to go back and stay longer. This place has lots to do and everyone is so very friendly and accommodating. The sites are clean and well manicured, such a beautiful relaxing place to be. We highly recommend it.

We just spent the weekend here to kick off summer vacation, and we could not have had a better time! Our KOA Patio site did not disappoint, as it provided the perfect amount of space and beautiful views to just relax and unwind. There was so much for the kids to do. They completely entertained themselves between the pool, the pond with inflatables, fishing, and Gaga ball. They even joined an unofficial kickball tournament in the huge field! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the bathhouses were immaculate and very well-kept. This place is a true gem tucked away just a short drive from Cleveland. Plus, being in the heart of wine country means there are tons of great options nearby. Stonegait Winery is an absolute must-try and super family-friendly. We will definitely be back!

Camping here is nice. Lots of amenities for the kids. Camp sites are somewhat private could be a little better. Also I didn't give 5 stars because we were there for 2 days and no one kept up on the bathrooms. They were all dirty. Other than that it's a nice family place.
