Our favorite stopover on a frequent route to Boston from St Louis. Very accommodating staff on this trip. Our initially assigned site was a bit hilly and unlevel for our low clearance van. Fortunately staff was still on sit cater usual business hours and relocated us to a much more satisfactory sit at no additional charge.

We had a lovely time at Thomspon KOA. It was our first time there and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. There was so much for the kids to do and we loved all the family friendly events they offered. The grounds were clean, we felt safe and loved the fun, family vibe. We will definitely return!

Had a wonderful time. First time at a KOA only thing was gravel very unlevel. Little difficult setting up. Loved the place for dogs to play. You should possibly put gravel at the entrance to help with the mud from rain. Would definitely recommend and come back.

Only there a short time, without grandkids. They would have loved the swimming pond and jump area. Very clean, well maintained. Impressed!

Thompson/Grand River Valley KOA is a great campground with lots to do for both kids and adults. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The escort to our site was a plus. I would highly recommend the short drive to Geneva on the Lake. I would have given 5 stars however, site A19 needs a lot of help with leveling the ground. I will go back to this KOA and definitely chose another site.

Very friendly staff. Facilities were clean and in good condition. Bathrooms were a bit messy, but it was also very busy with a lot of kids so I don't blame the staff. Overall very happy and would return again.

We were headed to Sturgis . we were planning on going further but rain in New York changed our plans . I opened my KOA book , hoping for a site for me and the other motorhome with me . We both reserved a site and enjoyed our short stay . Great staff, very helpful

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Park is clean and outstanding for children. I’ll be back.

Campground is secluded, several miles from I-90, so no highway traffic noise. Campers seemed to abide by the quiet hours. Very nice pool. We don't have kids, but there are a ton of activities to keep the kids occupied. The store in the office is very nice, well-stocked with just about anything you might need. We didn't use the shower houses, but our friends did and said they were very nice.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms and grounds were kept very clean. Love the trash pick up in the morning. The only problem I had was the slope on my site made it difficult to get the sewage to go into the direct hookup. Not sure if the tank was totally emptied because it really smelled when I got home. Seems like the openings should be flush with the ground at M10. Thanks

We had a great time at the KOA. The programs were happen. The staff was amazing and the dude on the golf cart with the ponytail was very helpful. The ladies in the camp store were awesome. Also. I already made reservations for next year

Stayed in the back T06. The site flooded so bad it was horrible. No rules for golf carts. Underage kids driving around all night. No one in office to file complaint. Parents having kids on golf carts dragging feet on ground while moving. No access to life jackets for pond.

We again really enjoyed our stay, especially the swimming lake and inflatables. Overall we really like the campground, our one complaint is the some of the sites could use some work.

The staff at Thompson is fantastic. They are very helpful and pleasant. I did have a couple issues with the camp sight. The drainage was not good, and I had to brace and level the MH twice due to the jacks sinking. The sewer drain cap is a little high and could be cut down a little for better drainage when dumping, but we did fine. Constantly improving and getting better. Great job staff and crew.

The entrance to the KOA is from a dusty dirt road. Our clean RV was filthy by the time we left & got on hard roads. Way too many golf carts running far too fast at all times. Our site was unlevel to the point both our back wheels were off the ground.

Nice Campground, clean and well kept amenities, spacious sites. The only negatives are some of sites are extremely unlevel. We had a bit of difficulty backing in our fifth-wheel uphill onto the site. Also not a fan of the bumpy dirt road leading to KOA Campground.

Very large with a beautiful lake. Recommend that everyone gets escorted to your site. Some dead end roads require backing out.

Surprised at how old and run down the property was. Amenities were tired, landscape overgrown and campground appeared to be mostly "seasonal" campers. One shower house out of use (looked abandoned). Roads within campground were filled with potholes and road leading to campground was gravel. For the amount I was charged for one night I expected much much more. Pictures not accurate!

Loved, loved, loved the aesthetics of the campground and the pool was nice although slightly cloudy. I didn't get a chance to swim in the pond out to the inflatables due to rain but it looked awesome! the bathhouses were very clean and nice and he store had a nice selection of necessities. The campground layout was a little confusing as we stayed in the Holler section.

7yr.in a 39'motorhome,at over 400 resorts, C.G, HH. Requested level site with satellite ( S.W.) on our roof. A-16 large site, worst site to level a large RV, no satellite use, bathroom across the street were deadbolt locked. Two sites over had 5 dogs kept in outdoor pen. Requested move, two options were worse. Staff friendly, very family/kid events. .yes, would stay again if level! W/satellite.

Following the koa signs took us down several miles of unpaved, pothole filled road. While the campground had many activities and friendly staff the dust and dirt from unpaved roads in the campground was just extremely unpleasant.

Staff was very helpful. They have a lot of activities. A great fishing pond. This place is very dusty as everything is gravel. After trying 3 sites time we finally got a site. Even then, we could never get level. Sites are too high in the back. This park is NOT for big rigs.

SITE 15 a was very unlevel. Sewer Hookup was to far away from where it would be expected. Millions of ants were in the electrical box crawling out of the outlets.

Level sites do not exist here, the amount of dust is ridiculous sewer connection was uphill and too many under aged NON licensed kids driving golf carts

Loved everything about this KOA! Clean large level sites, well kept, serene and quiet. Loved being able to give our pup a bath in their self serve dog wash with warm water!!! We were only there for two nights but would have liked to stay longer!! Staff were wonderful!

My family and I had a wonderful time all the staff was a great help and made everything easy.The activities were alot of fun for all ages. We met alot of super nice people and will definitely return.

I was very disappointed with the site (I believe it was M7). It was covered in gravel and very minimal grass for my dogs to lay. Also, we were supposed to have family put a tent on our site and there was absolutely no room for that. Our sewer hook up was above our black tank therefore the full hook up site was not truly a full hook up. For the price of the stay, this was not worth returning.

The drive in was rough but when we left google took us out on a smoother road. Very nice camp ground. Wife enjoyed it but we could not get water pressure in our shower to work. We would come back again. Friendly staff. LOts to do.

We were very disappointed that Santa Claus was not there for our grandchildren this year. We have taken them to this particular campground every year because Santa is there. The activities seem to have dwindled since the previous owners have left.

Reserved and paid for deluxe pull through site - when we got to campground we were allocated a small back-in site with no refund of price difference, explanation or apology. Sent email and as of right now still waiting on response and refund of the difference in price. Also as its 2023 having staff driving golf carts flying confederate flags is not a great look.

I understand there is a new manager and looking forward to all she can do for this campground. The landscaping needs some TLC, but once cleaned up, it will be very pretty. Had a great time and lots of fun for the family.

The water did not work on Sunday, the bathrooms were not clean. I his is the second year we hav stayed there and it just wasn’t real nice this year.

We love the amenities here but would really love to see the sites leveled and the ankle roller rocks removed. All of the driveways have potholes and also have some of those larger rocks. Accomodations for large trailers are fine in some locations, but just because it can fit up to 50' does not mean you can maneuver your trailer into the spot without damaging permanent sites or your truck/trailer.

I personally expected nicer accommodations for the campground rated as a KOA Holiday. Better road signage would help ( although they did offer to take you to your site)

To be clear, this is a KOA, not a hotel. When I rate the rooms here, I refer to the sites. I have NOT stayed in their cabins. This KOA is under new ownership this year and so far it seems great. We camped here a few times last year as weekend visitors. The sites are nice, well-maintained, and reasonably private for a KOA. This year, we have returned as “permanent” campers at a dedicated site. Having camped at dozens of other places over the last several years, we did not choose this KOA as a permanent location without considerable research and discussion. The staff is immediately helpful upon arrival and keeps up a high standard of service over the entire stay. They are friendly and knowledgeable. The camp store is nicely stocked and maintained as are the amenities such as the heated pool, the swimming pond, and fishing pond. The camp site we have is nice and level enough that I was easily able to level my RV in all directions pretty quickly. We have a nice fire pit and plenty of space for my family and dogs. We are close to the nice showers and bathrooms. Though we will not likely use them often, it is nice that they are clean and available. The water, power, and sewer hookups are in good shape and I have no concerns about them. As for location, this campground seems to be pretty quiet and amongst a very wooded area. There is a small amount of gravel road leading up to the campground regardless of the direction you come in, but the road seems to be very well-maintained and has caused us no concerns so far. We like that it is isolated, but other needs are close enough if we want them. Within a few minutes, you can get to a hardware store, many food options, and other needs likely to arise when camping…especially wineries/distilleries. Lots of wineries and such are very close. Overall, this is a great KOA to visit or stay a season. I hope you and your guests are able to enjoy this area and this campground is a great place to start!

So we went Off season to visit for a night with the dog and the baby. The site was well maintained, clean and off city. The new owners were super Friendly new. We had a nice cosy and Quiet night. Just what we needed. Grocery stores and all needs are within 15 minutes from site.

Although we only stayed one night it was very relaxing. We were traveling with 3 dogs and got a site that had a dog pen. It was lovely walking around early in the morning. They have a fantastic gift shop too! I'm going back for sure
