Very friendly, informative and overall helpful staff. The campground was beautiful and very clean. Our cabin was clean and as expected. The jump pillow, pool and lake inflatables were a hit with the kids.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin. There were 5 of us so it was cramped but that was my fault. The people there were very responsive any time I needed something. My only complaint is the dispensers in the shower. Really easy to knock off the wall and unfortunately we found that out the hard way. Lots of stuff for the grandkids to do and they really enjoyed our stay.

Our grandson loved the pond with the bounce things and fishing in the lake. Staff was very helpful. Care of garbage cans at cabins could have been better.

We only stayed overnight & didn’t have time to do all the activities that the KOA had to offer. The cabin was comfortable & had a view of the pond right across from the bathrooms which was very convenient. We are hoping the next time we travel this way to stay longer.

The swimming pool was not that big, but our son loved the swimming ponds with large inflatables! The cabin was ok, but the smallest one. It would have been nice to know beforehand (no interior photo’s on KOA website). Also, a parasol on the patio would have been nice, as the sun was very strong

We enjoyed our stay but had issues. Golf cart was only reserved for 1 night instead of 2 (booked via email). Cabin had no smoke detector batteries, a frozen fridge, and overgrown trees made roads hard to see. Friend didn’t get a cabin key, and check-out lacked confirmation. Staff was kind, but communication and upkeep need improvement.

I reserved this Deluxe Cabin for our daughter over the July 4th weekend. It was clean and spacious. She said the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was a plus due to the heat.

8 year camper but never again. Horrible experience right from the start. Overcharged $593 at CHECK IN. Reserved for $1382 at booking and charged $1975. Still hasn't been corrected. I have the receipts to prove all of this. KOA corporate says they can't help. Basically theft. The place is a mess. They were out of everything. Owners are unhinged. They have destroyed this place since they took over.

Enjoyed all the amenities, including the pool, beach, snack shack, gem mining, playgrounds, jump pillow, fishing pond and golf cart rental. Unfortunately, our lodging lost power at 2AM, disrupting sleep and causing loss of food and ice. While the management was quick to respond once outage was reported, we were still without power for 10 hours. Owner never returned our call for a discussion.

Dogs barking all night long, told the girl at the desk and she said, what do you want me to do about it? This was our 2nd time staying this time there were way less inflatables on the lake. At one point a worker came out screaming and using profanity at the kids on the trampoline so everyone at the pond left. Quiet time wasn't enforced we didn't get sleep the entire time

We booked the dry cabin & it was in extremely rough shape. The communal bathroom area was absolutely disgusting, to the point of that I am not sure how they have a KOA status with bathrooms that you can’t even properly close the doors for the stall without hitting your knees. The bathroom for the common area where not vented, the stench was intense. 0% ADA compliance. Overall horrible experience

We stayed in a Deluxe Cabin. It was very clean and stocked with all the necessities, even for grilling on the gas grill. The beds were already made. We just had to unload and then enjoy swimming, fishing, and bicycling. The grandkids had fun on the jumping pad.

My family really enjoyed staying at the Thompson Koa. The glamping tent was much nicer than we expected. The staff were all so friendly and went above and beyond. Can’t wait to come again this summer.

After staying in deluxe cabin 7 the only thing I would change is that they offer shade covering over the patio for better enjoyment, the 90+ degree days had the chairs too hot to sit. The whole stay was phenomenal though. The staff are always accommodating and friendly. This is our second year in a row and we are looking forward to next year. It's such a wonderful place. Couldn't recommend enough!

Very impressed with the cabin that we stayed in, it had many of the things that we would have used at home but did not realize would already be supplied. it was clean and very private. Every one that worked at the campground was extremely helpful and very nice and friendly. that was our first experience camping in a cabin like that and we will be back. enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

We are seasonal, but rent a couple of the cabins for family during Father’s Day. We love everything about the campground especially Chris,Roxanne and the rest of the staff. Our family members like them a lot too, as they are very accommodating to all. Haven’t found another place like Thompson Grand River Koa, even to weekend guests.

This was a stay we make annually to visit family. We stayed in a deluxe family cabin this time. Everything was very clean and accommodating for our party of 6. The kids loved taking advantage of the playground areas and fishing spots. We also enjoyed cooling off in the well maintained pool. The Staff was super friendly and always willing to help in a timely manner when needed. Overall a great stay

This was our first KOA stay ever. We were both blown away at the amount of activity amenities and welcome vibes from the staff team. The team was very kind and efficient on getting us our keys to the cabin. I personally loved that there was an extra comforter in the cabin when it got a little chilly. The deluxe cabin was super clean and had all the amenities needed.

Kids had a great time. Plenty of activities, it was freezing friday and saturday and we all still enjoyed our time. Cabin was clean and cozy. We had Grandparents visit who also enjoyed their time. No complaints.

We booked a delux cabin for the weekend and it was by far our favorite KOA experience to date! The cabin was adorable and met every single need we had! We were obsessed with the comfy bed and patio. There were tons of amenities at this location and they were in excellent condition. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful to anything we needed. We can’t recommend this location enough!

They were wonderful. I was so impressed with how the cabin was cleaned and well supplied that I actually overpacked, bringing all the things I would need for the Kitchen and bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and it made for a perfect stay. I will stay there more often when I am in town visiting family.

So what can I say but blown away with hospitality. We had a busted pipe in our cabin. Jake, Shelley and Chris are amazing people. Went way over and above our expectation of a mother's Day weekend. Thank you all that worked their but especially those three went above and beyond for us.

Deluxe cabin was well equipped and very clean. We enjoyed our 2 nights there. Suggestion: you might consider lowering the bathroom mirror so those of us who are height challenged can see more than the top of our heads.

we stay in Kabin 1 or 2. We like 1 the best! We arrived and the space heater was already running to take the chill out for us. What a great thought. We appreciated that!

This was an enjoyable camping experience. Thank you management and staff for making my first time here great. Waking up and being able to fish is rewarding, even if it's throwback fishing. The peacefulness of it makes it relaxing. We rented the golf carts here and it enhanced the experience. My family enjoyed the night fires and s'mores, the grilling. The showers were great because the water was hot Everytime and the pressure was constant, the outhouses were always clean and even the smallest concerns were addressed within a few minutes. The groundskeepers work hard to maintain the property and greet everyone kindly. The pool was kept clean and I'd say they clean it everyday which made me want to stay longer. This place is accommodating more than any hotel I have ever stayed at both in and out too the US of A.

Wanted to leave a positive review to off set the negative ones, as majority of the negative reviews are false and from disgruntled seasonal campers who were reaping benefits while the previous managers were here, and are no longer benefiting so feelings are hurt. The grounds are well maintained, activities for kids are happening, the pool is open and warm, the pond has inflatables on it and fresh sand on the beach, campers are quiet after 11 (the review about the golf cart parade well after 11 is 100% false), the fishing pond is full of fish, gem mining, playground, jump pillow and more ! This is a great place to bring your family for a weekend of fun. Unfortunately there are campers here still who would rather see this place go under than thrive because they were all friends with the previous managers. If you ask me the old manager should be held accountable for their behaviors as it was the environment he and his family created. As an older couple here we see a lot of family's come and enjoy this place, Give this place a try you won't be disappointed!
