This was our first time staying at the Thompson/Grand River Valley location. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. Our site had a covered patio that was furnished. We really did enjoy it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The campground is very big and there was a lot to explore. We truly enjoyed our stay and recommend others try it out as well.

Stayed here twice. First time, site was awful - dropped off to the side very badly that made getting into and out of trailer very difficult and there was poison ivy on both sides of the gravel. Second visit, the site was great - fairly level and no drop offs.

Site was difficult to use, water, electric very back of site and sewer front. Lots of slope ahd to raise front and passenger side 7 inches. Had to use blocks on front wheels and on hydraulics. Nice pool, quiet place. However, road to arrive extremely dusty with gravel dust stick to everything. Signs have you take to worst way in and out but when asked they give you better route after the fact

Staff very friendly and considerate. Beautiful park and we would return. However, site we were at had poison ivy growing onto gravel area and picnic table had been placed right in the middle of it. In addition, site was advertised as having WiFi and tower was visible from site but no signal was available. I would have booked a different site in that loop if I had been warned about the WiFi .

We were hoping for a level site so we wouldn’t have to disconnect our 5th wheel, but it was a little too uneven. Lots of activities and well kept park but the wifi in the back was spotty and cell service was minimal. Staff was super friendly. Worked well for a one night stay.

I called in to reserve three camping spots. Shelia had to get her manager a few times for help as she was new and didn’t know how to do a group reservation. We paid for 1 of the spots the day I called to make reservations. I was told to have the other couples call in to pay for there spot . When we called in a week or so later I was told that I didn’t reserve all three and only had the one I

We only stayed overnight & didn’t have time to do all the activities that the KOA had to offer. The cabin was comfortable & had a view of the pond right across from the bathrooms which was very convenient. We are hoping the next time we travel this way to stay longer.

The swimming pool was not that big, but our son loved the swimming ponds with large inflatables! The cabin was ok, but the smallest one. It would have been nice to know beforehand (no interior photo’s on KOA website). Also, a parasol on the patio would have been nice, as the sun was very strong

We enjoyed our stay but had issues. Golf cart was only reserved for 1 night instead of 2 (booked via email). Cabin had no smoke detector batteries, a frozen fridge, and overgrown trees made roads hard to see. Friend didn’t get a cabin key, and check-out lacked confirmation. Staff was kind, but communication and upkeep need improvement.

Had a great time, really enjoy all that this camp offers - do wish there were more than 2 flush toilets in the back. Everyone we interacted with was very nice- very friendly!

The campgrounds are nice and there is a lot to do. I tried to order pizza but kept getting a voicemail so I ended up having a pizza place deliver. They weren't allowed in the campground so I had to walk up front to get it. I reserved a tent site but was told the person could just pitch their tent beside my RV. So, I paid for a tent site I didn't even need.

Very nice campground. Too many young kids around us though constantly crying other than that no complaints. Maybe section out areas for older folks to enjoy quiet hours

I stay there when I have local dog shows with no electric. The staff is amazingly pleasant and helpful.

We stayed over the 4th of July. The campground is really nice. Very clean and very well maintained. Employees were all great. And we had great campers all around us. We really enjoyed our stay.

We paid for a premium site that was about 30 yards from a residence that played loud vulgar music 24hrs a day the entire time we were there. We could not sleep and ended up leaving 3 days early; we were to be there 10 days. Apparently this situation is not new. Why not warn us when we checked in? When we left I asked to have management call me...they haven't. No offer of any rebate or credit.

Friendly staff, clean restrooms. Site for RV was sloped quite a bit, if we were staying more than one night it might have been an issue but since we were trading through it wasn’t an issue for us.

People were good, the site was extremely uneven and almost impossible to level. It was the worse site we have ever had at any campground, We have stay here in the passed and were happy with the park but the last 2 times it was not the same,

My family and I had a very positive experience. The staff does make rounds around the camp ground frequently to check on guests and ensure the rules are being followed. The snack shack was only open one day we were there, although listed as an amenity. The open dates and times were not I visible. They do state delivery to your camp site sat and sun. It was never open on July 6th Sunday.

Great campground but the roads are horrible going to and inside the campground. Very dusty and FULL of potholes. You have to creap driving through otherwise it will shake your brains out. I know the speed limit is 5mph but even at that speed. it is way to fast because of all the potholes. Fire work show was off the chain. Best I've seen on a long time. Going back next year ! ! !

Great place to stay. Fun for families and kids. Campgrounds are kept very clean and tidy. The only thing I would suggest for improvement purposes to please post prices for things you sell or rent. For example the golf carts. This would make it easier on your staff and customers. Thank you for a fabulous weekend.

Stayed at site SP07, started with a broken picnic table. The individual that owns the property next to the campground blasted his music morning, noon, and night. While I understand that it is out of your control, you should think about building a large privacy fence to cut the noise. The bathrooms are clean as usual. We are local & been coming here for many years, will be back in the fall.

I reserved this Deluxe Cabin for our daughter over the July 4th weekend. It was clean and spacious. She said the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was a plus due to the heat.

8 year camper but never again. Horrible experience right from the start. Overcharged $593 at CHECK IN. Reserved for $1382 at booking and charged $1975. Still hasn't been corrected. I have the receipts to prove all of this. KOA corporate says they can't help. Basically theft. The place is a mess. They were out of everything. Owners are unhinged. They have destroyed this place since they took over.

Overall decent campground. The owners are incredibly rude but the staff is the opposite - staff is kind and outgoing. Pond is absolutely horrid swimming, pool isn’t all that much cleaner but swimable. Fishing pond is average. No golf carts available, no ice available. Owner yelling at campers in cars to slow down but no regard for the golf carts or e-bikes flying around. Just bad managem

We came for 4th of July this year because we were there last year for the first time time . We were EXTREMELY disappointed that there were no activities on Friday the 4th, being the actual holiday people had the day off. Enjoyed all the amenities, including the pool, beach, snack shack, gem mining, playgrounds, jump pillow, fishing pond and golf cart rental. Unfortunately, our lodging lost power at 2AM, disrupting sleep and causing loss of food and ice. While the management was quick to respond once outage was reported, we were still without power for 10 hours. Owner never returned our call for a discussion.

Dogs barking all night long, told the girl at the desk and she said, what do you want me to do about it? This was our 2nd time staying this time there were way less inflatables on the lake. At one point a worker came out screaming and using profanity at the kids on the trampoline so everyone at the pond left. Quiet time wasn't enforced we didn't get sleep the entire time

The property and the staff was nice. However the people that are permanent there made us feel like we didn't belong. The kids that were there were absolutely terrible to our kids saying that we were just weekenders & they don't have to let them play on the jump blob, or in the lake. 1 of the boys there even pants my 10 year old. The over all feel was, the permanent people run the show

This was an enjoyable camping experience. Thank you management and staff for making my first time here great. Waking up and being able to fish is rewarding, even if it's throwback fishing. The peacefulness of it makes it relaxing. We rented the golf carts here and it enhanced the experience. My family enjoyed the night fires and s'mores, the grilling. The showers were great because the water was hot Everytime and the pressure was constant, the outhouses were always clean and even the smallest concerns were addressed within a few minutes. The groundskeepers work hard to maintain the property and greet everyone kindly. The pool was kept clean and I'd say they clean it everyday which made me want to stay longer. This place is accommodating more than any hotel I have ever stayed at both in and out too the US of A.

Wanted to leave a positive review to off set the negative ones, as majority of the negative reviews are false and from disgruntled seasonal campers who were reaping benefits while the previous managers were here, and are no longer benefiting so feelings are hurt. The grounds are well maintained, activities for kids are happening, the pool is open and warm, the pond has inflatables on it and fresh sand on the beach, campers are quiet after 11 (the review about the golf cart parade well after 11 is 100% false), the fishing pond is full of fish, gem mining, playground, jump pillow and more ! This is a great place to bring your family for a weekend of fun. Unfortunately there are campers here still who would rather see this place go under than thrive because they were all friends with the previous managers. If you ask me the old manager should be held accountable for their behaviors as it was the environment he and his family created. As an older couple here we see a lot of family's come and enjoy this place, Give this place a try you won't be disappointed!
