On my sixth year of staying at KOA hosting my sons birthday party . When you book a place they expect you pay an extra $30 to “lock” giving them ability to move you. To me I feel when you pick a certain place that is your choice to move. To me you’re just worried about making more money I have grow in the group that books places there when we stay so I am bringing business. Great besides th

The roads getting to this KOA is not for the faint of heart.However, they are not impossible. Take your time and go slow. The reward at the end is worth it! Bring extra leveling kits, just in case. We needed just one more extra leveling platform on one side to get our rig leveled. This is a Huge Camp. Almost need a golf cart to get around. Lots to see and do in camp. Staff was also friendly.

Love the camp. Our site was a corner spot which was so nice. The staff was friendly. There’s lots of activities for the whole family. The only downfall is that the road to get to the KOA is thin and loose stone. Besides that I would come back.

It was our second stay at this park and we enjoyed it immensely. Our grandkids and I especially liked the swimming pond - they loved the floats!

Management poor, campgrounds great. Was given wrong information for pavilion usage and management was rude and could have cared less, Our group had 5 families in 5 campers and 4 families in 4 cabins.

Very friendly, informative and overall helpful staff. The campground was beautiful and very clean. Our cabin was clean and as expected. The jump pillow, pool and lake inflatables were a hit with the kids.

First tent camping experience went amazing. Cannot say better things about the tent sites. So much to do for kids! Definitely coming back!

Campsite was great. Hardly any bug problems. Bathrooms were clean. The pool and pond were fantastic. My boys loved the fishing. We will be back. Hopefully at R cove campsite again. Thank you to the staff!

We arrived after a long drive and we did not enjoy the long unpaved dusty road to the entrance of the campground. Our initial impression of our campsite was not positive. Narrow, dry and dusty. The staff at the campground was very helpful, however, The swimming pool was very refreshing especially on the hot and humid day that we were there. We enjoyed renting a golf cart, too!

Arrived after dark need improvement to signage in park. Hard to find spot and road. Visibility was hindered by shrub foliage appears to be primarily long term guests but hard to navigate after dark It served its purpose but we struggled to locate the road to turn on in park

Good stay! However the pool was not heated like advertised. When we were at the pool couldn’t enjoy because it was way too cold. Most of the other guests were commenting also how cold it was. Disappointed since temperatures were in the 90s.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin. There were 5 of us so it was cramped but that was my fault. The people there were very responsive any time I needed something. My only complaint is the dispensers in the shower. Really easy to knock off the wall and unfortunately we found that out the hard way. Lots of stuff for the grandkids to do and they really enjoyed our stay.

One night - last stop on a month-long road trip. We had stayed at 12 places including Thompson KOA. It was our favorite place on the whole trip. Excellent customer service, everyone was so friendly. The spot was perfect for our needs. The campground was a nice surprise - such a nice layout and tons of things to do. It was that special stop that you wish you could stay longer!

The campground is so nice; workers are amazing and did everything they could to make sure we had a good time. Also they have axolotls in the office! Wish there was more seating at the pool. 10 out 10 of would recommend staying here, however I would avoid the higher number SP sites for the moment; an unruly neighbor to the campground is making his presence known.

Beautiful campground. We enjoyed our stay. Sites were great and the pond was perfect for our son who loves to fish! The water inflatables were also a bonus for the kids to enjoy. We used the softball field for batting and pitching practice as my daughter had a travel ball tournament nearby. We loved that they had an area large enough to practice. The bath houses were clean, pool was great!

Pool was dirty. My husband cleaned out the debris and bugs each morning we stayed. Game room needs an update. Chairs thrown everywhere and games need thrown out. Only thing usable was the corn hole boards. Landscaping has gone downhill since the last time we visited. Person in store was super nice. Check in was easy.

Stayed at SP07. There is what I consider a dangerous person on his personal property just beyond the tree line next to where my wife and I stayed. He played VERY LOUD heavy metal music for most of the time we were there, even through the wee hours of the morning. Horrible graffiti on the mans fence, he was pacing and using horrible language toward the manager. Manager knew about this, unhapp

Same $$ as hotel, expect an exceptional stay. Not the case. Site was very unlevel (in an open field -no reason for unlevel), deep ruts in the gravel -tripping hazards. Had to raise the front of the camper 14"+. 3 bath stalls, 1 unmarked, 1 marked vacant, was locked our whole stay. Toilet seats and shower heads need to be replaced. Wi-Fi unreliable at best, unusable at worst. Pleasant helpful staff

I had a very relaxing, enjoyable weekend...it was good to be back at the campground and the snack shack was an unexpected bonus! But, I do have one concern - when I made my reservations back in January, I specifically booked "Perimeter Back-In Site", not what I got. Hopefully my next trip will be in line with what I booked.

Our grandson loved the pond with the bounce things and fishing in the lake. Staff was very helpful. Care of garbage cans at cabins could have been better.

This is one of our favorite stops when we travel from New Hampshire to visit family in Michigan. It's a beautiful and peaceful setting with great staff, nice sites and amenities. We stayed on the way out and this was our stop on the way home. A special shout out to Jake, a polite, professional and hardworking young man who guided us to our site on both occasions and filled our propane - thank you!

The campground definitely could use some improvement. There wasn't any themed activities for the kids. They had no ice in the store to purchase which wasn't a big deal we just went to the gas station. The other campers/cabin people definitely could learn some manners.

Shelby was the nicest camp worker when we were staying there, also very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you manager for locking our campsites in. The bathrooms need more hooks for hanging things and the bathroom has hand sanitizer instead of soap in the left bathroom.

This was our first time staying at the Thompson/Grand River Valley location. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. Our site had a covered patio that was furnished. We really did enjoy it. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The campground is very big and there was a lot to explore. We truly enjoyed our stay and recommend others try it out as well.

Stayed here twice. First time, site was awful - dropped off to the side very badly that made getting into and out of trailer very difficult and there was poison ivy on both sides of the gravel. Second visit, the site was great - fairly level and no drop offs.

Wanted to leave a positive review to off set the negative ones, as majority of the negative reviews are false and from disgruntled seasonal campers who were reaping benefits while the previous managers were here, and are no longer benefiting so feelings are hurt. The grounds are well maintained, activities for kids are happening, the pool is open and warm, the pond has inflatables on it and fresh sand on the beach, campers are quiet after 11 (the review about the golf cart parade well after 11 is 100% false), the fishing pond is full of fish, gem mining, playground, jump pillow and more ! This is a great place to bring your family for a weekend of fun. Unfortunately there are campers here still who would rather see this place go under than thrive because they were all friends with the previous managers. If you ask me the old manager should be held accountable for their behaviors as it was the environment he and his family created. As an older couple here we see a lot of family's come and enjoy this place, Give this place a try you won't be disappointed!
