Was very upset that you guys don't do the pizzas and fried items anymore.. We always depended on that when we get there on Fridays. Then the store closed at 7pm on a Friday night?? Our campsite was covered in goose droppings!! Everywhere!! We have always loved this campgrounds, one of our favorites. The kitchen thing was a big hit for us.. Please bring it back..

It seems like the staff was ready for the season to be over. It appeared that the bathrooms were never cleaned or restocked. Loved the waffle truck!

We had the best time at this campground. The kids activities were amazing and our site was perfect. We loved the nature trail and just walking around the grounds. The petting zoo was another favorite. The only reason we rated 4/5 was because the bathrooms got disgusting and were not cleaned all weekend.

Excellent KOA. Clean, off the beaten path, lots of activities, and most importantly, an extremely friendly staff who accommodated all of our needs. A definite FAVORITE now.

We love Sunbury KOA! So relaxing and beautiful :) Unfortunately, a lot of the kids' equipment has not been maintained, making them hard for smaller kids to use and even presenting hazards. Hoping these things are fixed over the winter

Very easy in and out, staff very helpful. we were heading east and almost skipped the extra miles miles north for a truck stop . Very glad we went north.

We’ve gone to this KOA for many years and it’s certainly changed this year. There was very limited staff however things were just not the same. I recognize staffing is an issue everywhere. The grounds were unkempt, well manicured areas are now overgrown. Trash everywhere. Every can overflowing, trash littering play areas. Shower houses filthy. Very disappointed at this once beautiful place.

We had a very nice site! The campground itself could use some clean up. Lots of trash laying around. The staff wasn't as involved as other KOA we have been at.

The Wi-Fi was horrible this time. We chose your location because my husband and I have to work at times during camping and we weren’t able to complete some of the things we needed to. Minor item in comparison but did add some frustration

We arrived past hours in a cold and blustery rain. Saldly, did not get to enjoy our site or the amenities. I will say that the grounds were in great shape, nice gravel base, huge playground and dog park. The manager texted to make sure we were ok that evening. I always stay there when passing through.

We have stayed at this campground many times over the years and always enjoyed the activities available. Typically it is very well cared for and lively in the fall with landscaping and fall decorations, however this year there were no decorations and the landscaping has turned to weeds. Very disappointing that this once beautiful campground is losing its appeal.

Our stay was OK, Not as good as when the old owners owned it but OK. Price is more, you get less but the campground has nice mature trees. Does not have the home grown feeling as before. Probably next year our group will only visit 1st instead of the normal 4 times we stay. Instead drive a few miles more and got to Mt. Gilead KOA (prior owners now own that one - WAY WAY Better).

Beautiful campground with lots of amenities! The fall colors were spectacular throughout the campground! My kids are already talking about wanting to go back in the summer.

We loved our stay but in previous years the restroom/shower facilities had been a lot cleaner. Also, the times posted for the general store to close did not dictate the actual time it closed. Saturday night we were told it closed at 9 but it was not opened when we went their at 7:45.

Well we got there and the young lady was very very I don't want to be here attiude, no directions no nothing, no telling us about what was going on in the campground on Halloween weekend, just here's your paper and a scan piece a paper, and map. Seems like things are going downhill a little. Events weren’t very organized and lack luster. The 2nd bath house was a little gross- had a drain problem in the shower I had to stand in standing water. We really missed being able to order pizza there as we used to. Staff just were not very friendly either. Jump pad had a hole in it and last time we stayed the pool was closed. Hope it gets better!

We had a great stay! We had to reschedule our original dates and the lady I spoke to on the phone took care of everything for me! The Halloween activities were fun for the whole family, clean facilities and friendly staff. We're looking forward to our next visit!

Our water didn’t work at our site as we had to wait till the next morning for it to be fixed. The judging of the costumes was horrible! They already had the winner picked out before all the kids was able to even get up there.

We camped with our grandchildren ages 12 and 9, and it was wonderful. No one wanted to leave. We didn’t know until we arrived about the Halloween events but that was ok. Seeing the campsites and costumed guests was still fun. And the kids still collected plenty of candy. We will be back!!

The absolute best KOA we've been to. We loved our spot back in The Backwoods. However, the campground could use some improvements. Pros: - Huge campus with variety of spaces around lake and in wooded areas. - Zipline, jump pad, disk golf, and other toys for the children. - Petting zoo, lake, and nature trail. - Office staff friendly.  Let us receive our packages - a huge plus for us! Cons: - Speed limit not enforced.  This is true for the long-term residents, weekend campers, and maintenance/work campers. Some work campers in their personal vehicles are going way too fast including a gold minivan that is at least going over by 4x - 5x the 5 MPH limit and kicking up dust and neglecting safety of the kids playing nearby. - Maintenance lacking - many unmowed spots and areas (like some of the disk golf course), random trash throughout the campus.  We finally had to clean up the garbage in our site and in the woods behind us.  Just walk around the campus on foot with a few garbage bags and you'll be surprised how much you can pick up. - Major rotting tree in our site that needs to be removed immediately before it becomes a disaster (yes, we informed a maintenance worker). - Nature trail needs major maintenance including whole trees and tree limbs across trail making parts impassable, not to mention the muddy/boggy areas. - Black widow spider in our electrical box - The Backwoods area got quite loud last night we were there with many campers including some unruly ones.  Also, there was an RV where they were clearly smoking the good lettuce, if you know what I mean. 😉 - Overgrown tree branches need to be trimmed back as they were scraping our RV on the way out in a few areas. All-in-all we had a great time and plan on returning.  I hope these suggestions help as this could be an absolutely stellar experience with just a few, easy improvements.

Feels kinda weird using a Hotel list for a campground but rooms=site I would say it was excellent. They have obviously done a lot to keep the sites up. Wood composite Adirondack furniture was at many of the sites and all that we saw had concrete patios. Service was great. Greeted with a smile and friendly faces. Location - hard to beat a location like this in the middle of God's country. It was quiet and easy to get to any of the nearby attractions.
