Check In / Check Out

  • Check In RV and Tent Sites: 1 pm                                     
  • Check In Accommodations : 3 pm
  • Check Out for All Sites: 11 am 

Early Check In: 
  • There is no charge for early check-in, but it can not be pre-reserved. Early check-in is based on availability the night before or the morning of arrival. 

Late Checkout: 
  • $25 for late check-out up until 4 pm. Late check-out can not be pre-reserved. Late check-out is based on availability the night before or morning of check-out day. Late Checkout is not available for our cabins. 

Hours of Operation

Hours of operation may vary by season. Please check with our team when you arrive.
Camp Store:
Monday - Thursday 10 am – 6 pm
Friday - Saturday 10 am - 8 pm
Sunday 10 am - 5 pm

Laundry: Open 24 Hours
Quiet Hours: 11 pm to 8 am 
Pool Hours: Our pool is open from early June through Labor Day, and hours are 10 am to 8 pm

For the safety of all guests, fireworks are not allowed.

Wildlife

Various types of wildlife big and small may be found on and around this campground. Be alert and give them distance and respect. Keep dogs on a leash and properly store food, trash, and cooking supplies. For the health of the wildlife, please refrain from feeding the animals. Your safety and the future of our wildlife depend on you.

Late Arrivals

If you plan to arrive after our office is closed, please head to the Night Registration area located outside the Registration Office. Please contact the campground directly for additional instructions.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy (Effective for reservations made starting on 10/1/24):
If you need to cancel your reservation, please call the campground before the deadlines below to receive a refund of your deposit, less a $20 administrative cancellation fee. Text and email notifications of cancellations will not be accepted.
Cancellation Deadlines:
 RV & Tent Sites: You must give 7 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., seven days before your scheduled arrival.Lodging & Accommodations: You must give 14 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., fourteen days before your scheduled arrival. For guests booking accommodations in California, a full refund will be given for reservations canceled within 24 hours of booking, provided the arrival date is at least 72 hours after the time of booking.Cancellation Details:
• Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits.
• Cancellations made after the deadlines will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.
• No refunds are given due to the discomforts of nature, including no-shows and early checkouts.
• No refunds are given on or after the arrival date.
• Refunds will be processed using the original credit/debit card, with no exceptions.
• The cancellation policy may be amended during a Regional/National travel disruption.
• Holidays and special events may have unique deposit and/or cancellation requirements. Please check with your selected KOA for details.

Golf Cart Policy

We rent golf carts! 
  • 4-Person electric golf carts for rent. 
  • Reserve by phone or email once you have made your camping reservation.

Bringing Your Own:
You may bring in your own golf cart at no charge.

While you cruise around the campground, make sure to follow this policy and campground speed limit. The laws of the road are still in effect in the campground, please make sure to stop at stop signs. Let's keep the lights on after dark, and make sure your transportation only carries the recommended number of passengers or less. We want everyone to be safe, with only licensed drivers operating motorized vehicles. If it has wheels, please follow these safety guidelines.

Pet Policy

Traveling with your furry friend? We have a Kamp K9 for our four-legged friends to stretch their legs. Pets must be on a leash outside of the dog park, and we ask owners to do their duty and clean up after their pets. Pets don't like to be left alone, so please don't leave them unattended. Due to health and safety regulations, pets are not allowed in any buildings, pool area, and other signed locations. *Certified service animals excluded.

Visitor Policy

All visitors must stop by the office prior to entering the park and pick up a guest pass. Visiting guests permitted until Quiet Hours and must adhere to campground rules. Overnight guests need to register at the front desk. Visitor fees may apply.

Number of Guests Per Reservation

For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, strict limits are enforced on the number of people who may be at the campground per each reservation. 
  • At check-in, you will be asked to verify the number of guests staying at your site.  
  • A limit of 6 or 8 people per site (depending on site type) will be enforced.  That total number includes both the number of people on your reservation and any day visitors. If you have the maximum number of people on your reservation, day visitors are not allowed.
  • RV and Tent sites are limited to 6 people per site.
  • Camping Cabins, Deluxe Cabins, and other Lodging are limited to 6 people with exception of the Deluxe Cabins which sleep 8, these are limited to 8 people. 

If the number of overnight guests on your reservation allows for day visitors, those day visitors must check in at the front desk upon arrival. Your visitors must be pre-registered and are welcome for an additional per adult. Visiting guests are permitted until Quiet Hours and must adhere to campground rules. Should day visitors turn into overnight guests, they must register at the front desk.

Workout Room

Come check out a workout key with the store clerk to keep and use during your stay. We ask that everyone who uses the workout room is at least 18 years of age. Ages 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult.

Firewood & Propane

1. We sell firewood for $8 a bundle and we deliver to your campsite!
2. You may bring in your own firewood. We encourage bringing in kiln-dried wood.

Propane:
We do offer propane filling for all campers. Please visit our welcome station to pay and drop off your tank and we will deliver it to your site when it is filled.

Speed Limit

The speed limit is 5 MPH. Please drive slow through our park and watch for pedestrians and pets as they move about the campground.

Refund, Deposit, Payment

Refunds:
Sadly, we cannot refund any part of your unused stay
if you choose to shorten it even in cases of emergency, family crisis, illness, inclement weather, etc. We have turned other families away in order to hold the site for your family. We reserve the right to remove any guest or revoke privileges at any time with no refund to maintain the peace and relaxation of our family campers.

Deposit:
1. A deposit of one night's rate is required to hold a spot. (We do not hold sites longer than the end of the business day)
2. The deposit will be charged at the time of making the reservation.
3. The deposit is deducted from the amount owed.

Payment:
1. Balance due at time of check-in.
2. Personal Checks: Are not accepted at time of check-in but will be accepted up to one week prior to check-in.
3. Forms of payment: Cash, Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express

Fishing Pond

  • We are a privately owned park so no fishing license required.
  • Catch and Release ONLY. No minnows, buckets, or liners allowed.
  • We sell night crawlers in the camp store along with poles, line, tackle, etc.
  • Expect to catch: Catfish, Crappie, Bluegill, & Bass

Meet Your Hosts

Kaitlyn

Welcome to the Sunbury / Columbus North KOA Holiday!

Meet your new host at the Sunbury / Columbus North KOA Holiday, Kaitlyn! She has spent most of her career in retail/food service management. Starting at KOA as a bookkeeper here in Sunbury, she then became Assistant General Manager and now General Manager. 

Kaitlyn received a Bachelors Degree from Otterbein University where she double majored in Organizational Communication & Leadership. She is a servant leader who is passionate about people and serving and loving others in everything she does.

Kaitlyn says "I love bringing a smile to peoples face and making their day- my first boss nicknamed me "Hospy" (short for hospitality) due to my welcoming nature." 

Kaitlyn has a wanderer spirit and loves exploring, traveling and "adventuring" as her two daughters call it! She also says "I am part fish and would live in the water if I could." 

In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys reading, swimming, nature walks and spending time outside, spending time with family and exploring new places and trying new things.
