We had an RV site for us and a cabin with 1/2 bath for our friends. The site was typical KOA and the cabin was comfortable and clean.

The cabins were really nice and the grounds around them were well maintained. As far as the other public areas, the minigolf looks like its in the middle of being renovated, but the pool was nice. Trying to remember that the bathroom required codes was a bit hard for the kids but we managed. Overall we had a nice time.

We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was friendly and the special event Christmas in July was amazing. It is the perfect place for kids of all ages. The only issue was that the pool didn’t open until 10 a.m. I like to get my swimming done early. This is my 10th KOA and probably my favorite.

Enroute to this KOA I was worried that my GPS had been taken over by evil gremlins. It took us way out in the countryside and all of a sudden, there appeared a KOA, it literally was “outstanding in its field!” We enjoy a quiet stay for a couple of days and only a short jaunt to Springfield, IL. We’ve stayed at this campground number of years on our travels from our home north to south. It’s a quiet country setting not far from the interstate. Normally, we pull a trailer but this year we stayed in a cabin, which was very nice. Would recommend this KOA.

The firework show was amazing!! We were very disappointed that the pool was closed for at least 4 hours because of storms that were writhin 10 miles. They never came and it was finally opened back up. I also think for as much as it cost to stay the pool should be open until 9 or 10 on weekends. Also the house where putt put etc closed at 7 so after 8 there is nothing to do really.

Overnight stay as passing through. Older KOA but that means nice shade trees. Laundry was good. Mini golf looks like it could use a bit of TLC. Amazing fireworks show for the 4th. Tough on our dog, but we enjoyed it.

We have enjoyed our stay at the koa. I believe we are priced out of coming back. It’s gotten to be very expensive for the amenities offered. Everything was clean and tidy. The pool and jump house was shut down during the storm and for a longer extended amount of time, but the kids were told to go play on the metal playground equipment. Long story short, it’s too expensive for the Amenties

The cabins are way over priced. For what people pay for a cabin and campsites The pool could stay open until 10pm. On top of that they closed the pool to clean it right after it opened, saturday on a holiday weekend. There was one storm saturday around noon and the guy kept the pool closed most of the day afterwards. Very annoying when the pool is the main thing to do there.Lobby smll lk weed

It’s becoming too pricey, when an hour away you get much more for your money & less cost for site. Keeping pool & bounce pillows out of commission for 4 hours after a storm was a bit excessive. Office closed early on Friday, husband went to purchase something 10 min before closing time, but locked up. Did enjoy the fireworks. Did not visit showers or bathroom, so can’t comment. Grounds clean.

Beautiful quiet well kept campground. Check in went smoothly. If you’re looking for a quiet escape this campground has everything you need.

site was great, bath facilities were nice. Only complaint was the garbage dumpster was overflowing and the ground around the dumpster was littered with trash. Looked like they had been overwhelmed recently and hadnt got it cleaned up. We would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

It was a nice large campground. Clean and tidy but I have one complaint- there was only one restroom and shower for the whole campground. It was by the office and near the tent area and was always busy. We have a tiny shower in our RV and usually use the campgrounds showers but could not at this campground as it was always too busy. They need more restrooms for such a large campground

We stayed for 4 days. Campground was clean and quiet. Lots for the kids to do too. Staff was friendly and helpful. If we stay in the area again, we would stay at the KOA

Impeccably maintained, very clean and organized. Bathrooms were amazingly clean, gravel/grass/etc. was perfect, sites level, fire pits cleaned and ready to go, staff very friendly and helpful.

Loved the shade and trees. The pool was just the right temperature and the bathhouse was clean and nice. Best KOA we stayed at on our trip home from Florida.

Well kept campground in a rural location about 10 miles from the interstate. Very quiet! Great for an overnight or longer stay. Lots of grass, trees, greenery, open fields and woods surround the campground but very close to a beautiful lake with public spaces. Easy drive to the lake and to Springfield sites.

Very clean facilities, with many things to do. Staff are helpful and friendly. Updates have been done and are ongoing. Campsites both RV and tent are well maintained and spacious. Tent sites are shaded with plenty of room between sites. RV sites all appear to have new gravel, fire rings and picnic tables.

Springfield KOA is a little gem tucked away surrounded by trees and fields. It’s quiet and clean. The campground could use a little upgrade to the mini golf course, K9 pen, and a building near the pool. It is a very level campground which makes setting a unit very easy. We would definitely stay at Springfield KOA in the future.

The stay was fine. We didn't mind being out of town at all. But the narrow road could have presented problems if we'd met another rig along the way. The host was efficient and helped us extend our stay without moving our trailer.
