We enjoyed our visit to South Padre KOA. The ladies in the front office are awesome! Bruce was very helpful guiding us to our site. The bathroom/shower facilities are very nice. We are also grateful that KOA allowed our dogs to stay with us, as they greatly enjoyed their first visit to the beach. Only downside is that there is no wi-fi.

We loved our stay at the KOA. Loked the activities in the evening as well as the peace and quiet after 10pm. Loved sittingon the deck at night, enjoying the breeze and starry sky. Everyone was so nice. Will do it again.

The addition of individual restrooms was outstanding, however could not give a top rating due to Wi-Fi and cable issues. Namely that it was nonexistent!

Everything was going well until Sat. Night Aug. 2 2023. When the people in spot 8 showed up and they had the music on to loud. We were told that quite time was fro 10:00 pm to 8:00 AM. Put I guess no one told these people about quiet time. We have stayed several times at this KOA , never ever had such an inconsiderate group of People before. We could not sleep because the music was on til 2 am.

Way too many rv’s and cars. RV awnings in Road, and vehicles hitches in road. Need signage when having activities; movies, ice cream etc.

The area was great (lot #36), the representatives were helpful and nice. Our time there was awesome and totally relaxing.

The location is very convenient, walking distance from the beach. The pool is big enough for everyone,and the property is we'll maintained. Will plan on coming again..

It was awesome... Restrooms were clean but 2 shower heads in one unit were broken but our stay was really nice

Communication was not good. We were notified after our arrival that there was construction happening and that the wifi was out. The playground needed to be maintained, raked and cleaned. There was trash in the playground area sitting for several days, a huge ant pile near where the children play and stickers(sharp plants) throughout the sand that needed to be raked. Not safe. I called -no response

SPI KOA is a great place to stay. This is our 2nd time staying here. They have a super friendly front desk lady. KOA is located near the water with nice view of the bay. The property is clean which makes this a 5 star for me.

This was nice place; however, there was no WiFi when we got there and none during our stay. We were never notified prior to our arrival. My husband has to have WiFi for work since he works remote. Additionally, there was loud construction noise that would last well past 6:00 pm when we were trying to have dinner and enjoy ourselves. Managment was not very empathetic to these issues.

Park: The only problem was no WIFI service throughout the months ( July and August). Staff: The golf cart drivers had a very dry attitude. Office: Ladies were amiable and welcoming to KOA. Facilities: Wonderful restrooms! Very clean and cool. Pool: Nice and clean. My family enjoyed it. Thank you for keeping us informed with all the text messages and activities.

Padre KOA should be ashamed! They provided no heads up about the VERY loud construction/concrete busting ongoing M-F RIGHT next to our cabin. Couldn’t sleep, couldn’t relax on patio, truck was covered in white residue. And NO notification about having NO Wi-Fi although its still advertised on their site! After 15 yrs… we will not return. Pool way too hot/cloudy. Its all deteriorating, Sad..

Loved it!. Late summer, little crowds, easy to maneuver the 44 footer. Great pool, walking distance to many amenities, Sea Ranch next door was packed full but service was amazing and food to die for. SpaceX hovercraft baby photo opportunity a totally unexpected surprise!. Will be back soon for the launch.

Park has great amenities, check in was quick and easy. The pool was spacious and warm, they have some construction going on but it was not a big deal and did not really interfere with anything.

The staff was friendly and accommodating. We got there after 5 and when we got to our spot it was to tight for our RV because of the slides and the trees on at the spot so we gave them a call and they moved us right away. The new spot was great. Only thing was no wifi but we were able to use our hotspots. Close walk or cart ride to beach. Will be back for sure! Great sunset views too!

Everything was great except for the old lady that does crafts and s’mores. She’s not very friendly or nice. Other than that it was awesome. You need someone that is friendly for these activities…sorry I usually don’t like to say anything bad but we had always had a blast before with the other lady. This one no no no

Loved the campground...it was the nicest one we saw while at SPI. The new bath houses were spectacular! The 1 complaint is that the wifi was not working. Other than that, we will stay again should we return to SPI.

Roads are narrow, sites are too close, no night patrols for the campers that stay up late and make noise Construction starts to early in the mornings, Campground has little pieces of trash everywhere needs to be walked and picked up Only good thing is close to town and bus stop

The Pool was not up to par, Kind of dirty, Too much construction going on at that time, Noisy from all the construction crew. Disappointed the WIFI was Not working. I was expecting to see water down below all we saw was sand. Will not be coming back. Thanks

Cabin 1 - Bayside K-1. Right next to demolition -not good ! Could not enjoy patio deck because of noise and dust of demolition crews & equipment. Patio sliding door needs to be replaced. My grandsons or wife could not open the sliding patio door. Toilet leaks, constantly refilling tank. Grass sticker burrs in playground. do not rent till after construction. We will visit again away from work

I rented a free-standing casita, which is (I think) the best short term rental on the Island since the windows can all be opened to catch the sea breeze, the ocean smell, and the gulls to give it the true meaning of being by the sea. The units are also air-conditioned if it is late summer however, I favor the island atmosphere delivered by the casitas for a sound sleep.

We really enjoyed our stay at South Padre. The camping location is awesome, close to beaches. Service and staff have been super good and general cleanness is excellent despite the strong wind that was making the life little bit harder. Our spot was tight (like more or less all spots) but we've been lucky because for the whole stay (almost 20 days) nobody occupied the spot in front of us so we have space for the car and also free view.
