First time staying at this KOA in beautiful SPI. Manager on duty Dottie made us feel welcomed right from the get go. Was escorted to our leveled very clean site. Our brief stay there was very relaxing and pleasant. Would highly recommend staying at SPI KOA. The daily communication via text messaging about upcoming activities was very welcomed.

You guys really keep this place up! 2nd stay. We'll be back. FYI: there are stickers in the grass between the dog park & tent sites.

Very well-kept KOA. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We were at site 31, which are pull-throughs for smaller trailers. We have a little 13' teardrop, and we had more than enough space. The pool was well-maintained and other guests were friendly. Really loved that the restrooms near us were individual, so it was more like using a restroom at someone's home. Will definitely be back!

Loved our stay at this KOA. Only downside was a bit tight especially for big rigs, such as, 45’ motorhomes!

It was quite and a friendly atmosphere. Staff was friendly. I love the escort we get upon arrival so you do not have to search for your space. 5star rating. We were put in a smaller space than the one I reserved I think that was a computer error. Evening staff worked on resolving that issue immediately, we were put us in a bigger space for our bumper pull. Definitely will stay there again.

Sites are on the smaller side and the roads are on the narrow side. The campground is doing some upgrades and is very clean.

Dottie is the BEST, sweetest, most positive, welcoming, accommodating, helpful & gracious KOA person I've ever met! She is the sparkling star of SPI! Can't wait to return to SPI & stay at the KOA Holiday!

A very nice park, well situated, decent amenities. However, on the last four days of our stay the nearest bathroom/shower had no hot water. I informed four different staff members over a three day period. Everyone of them showed concern and said they would get it fixed. The day we left, I went to wash my hands. Still no hot water. Also, the lock did not work.

Our second time here. Even though we we're very sad about the tragic loss of Pier 19 and the waterfront cabins, we still had a wonderful view across the bay from the living room of the cabin and lovely walks along the Laguna Madre. Updates to the campground make it one of the franchise's neatest and cleanest. Loft cabin was spacious and clean with everything we needed. Dottie is always amazing.

Pleasant staff, nice pool and hot tub. Deck chairs and loungers were replaced while we were there, which is good. I don’t like that the price to use laundry facilities climbed from $2 to $2.50 per load while we were there. Price on building touts $1.75 per load. Construction awaits for the new community room so was a little messy. How could we get rid of the cackle birds?

We had a great time. Campground is very clean and ordering also. Very quiet I needed to get my camper cleaned. The campground recommended a service that comes to the campground. Perez they did an absolutely wonderful job at a very reasonable price. I could not have been happier Definitely recommend staying at this Campground and take advantage of your camper washed and waxed with Perez RV clea

reservations were made more than 6 months ago, I request site 152 (near the pool), was given site 76 back of RV park. site 152 stayed mostly empty during my 10 day stay. KOA touts the hot tub, my whole stay the jets did not work.

Staff is very friendly I give them 5 stars, but I think it has gotten too expensive to stay in your “own home”. The pool was very dirty, I felt like Esperanza in “Esperanza Risking” where the Mexicans are the last to enjoy the pool so they clean it after they use it. I love the KOA I made many memories when my kids were little, but, despite the remodeling to make it look better, I am disap

Check in was smooth, the employee was pleasant. For the amount you spend per night you would expect perhaps a bit more - the pool is small, the sites are very narrow and not paved. When we went to leave after two nights we could not drain into the campground sewer system. At our site it was clogged. It could have been a huge mess but my husband was paying attention!

Ali though location was good and they were super friendly… it does need some maintenance. Pool could use an update. Not much for chairs when we arrived but 5 days later they were brought in. Not really any adult activities. Nice that we could walk to the beach also.

most of the sites have become overcome with weeds...never like this in years past...Dottie, Bruce and his wife on the nite shift, Chuck, and Steve.....all of these always had a smile and greeting everyday...looking forward to seeing the new construction results

Only reason for the 4 star rate is you are in the process of much renovation. Upon completion you will no doubt deserve a 5 star rate from me.

The staff was very helpful, both within the office as well as the golf cart staff members who were always on patrol to serve. Everyone was friendly, courteous and it felt like we were appreciated and valued as customers. We stayed throughout March #46 and have reserved all of March 2025 for our return visit. Thank you! We stayed a month. Pool, hot tub, laundry, activities all were nice. I was surprised that the laundry prices jumped $1.75 one to $2.50 the next, in our last week. I’m not saying those are bad prices but it was a big shift over night.

We really enjoyed our stay at South Padre. The camping location is awesome, close to beaches. Service and staff have been super good and general cleanness is excellent despite the strong wind that was making the life little bit harder. Our spot was tight (like more or less all spots) but we've been lucky because for the whole stay (almost 20 days) nobody occupied the spot in front of us so we have space for the car and also free view.
