This is a lovely campground tucked away, off major roads. Very nice amenities (pool, big playground, dog park and more). We stayed in a patio site, with concrete patio, 4 resin chairs/table and resin bench. Round brick fire pit. Food truck on Fri, and cafe on Sat/Sun for breakfast. Grounds are well maintained, bath and showers VERY clean.

We love camping here! The staff is friendly and helpful. The campground is well kept and clean. It’s peaceful and quiet for the elderly yet there is plenty of fun things to do if you have children. There is a pool, a dog park, a playground, walking trails, a store, laundry room, showers, bathrooms and weekend activities. You can bring a camper, tent, or stay in one of their cabins. So much fun!

Excellent facility very well. Kept employees were fantastic little noisy in the office with the puppies but you know that’s not a big deal. Very quiet nice facility lots of room large sites very well kept will be back.

We love it here! It’s peaceful for us and yet we can hear the joy and laughter of kids as they enjoy the playground, jump pad, basketball court, etc. It’s clean, well kept, has weekend activities, a laundry room, showers, bathrooms, a pool, a store, wood for sale, and propane fill up available. Great spot, clean, friendly staff, and very affordable compared to other KOA's. We used it as an overnight going from Maine to Vermont. Easy in and out with our 32 ft. Class A towing our Jeep. Food options are 10-12 minutes in either direction.

Having family members who stop by for a brief visit or simply to swap vechiles hastled by the staff feels pretty unwelcoming !!

As far as we knew you had your daughter stop by one day to visit for a few minutes and we have no record of any other visitors during your 14 day stay. One of the owners spoke to her, explained the visitor's policy & directed her to your site & never charged her.

Absolute gem in Maine! We had such a fantastic stay at Skowhegan / Kennebec Valley KOA Journey! The campground is amazingly quiet, clean, and surrounded by beautiful nature. You can really tell that a lot of love and care goes into maintaining this place. It was by far one of the absolute highlights of our RV road trip so far. We would love to come back anytime Grtngs from the Netherlands

Everyone was super friendly and showed us to our site. Bathrooms were exceptional! Wish the sites would have gravel instead of grass. They are constantly working to improve the campground. We would stay again if passing thru the area.

The staff is so friendly and helpful, we love our site! It’s so peaceful here. ����. I help my sisters with appointments and errands and we are About 12 miles from home, so it’s convenient and yet, still a vacation. ����

Staff are very friendly. Facilities are clean. Sites are in excellent shape. Staff were working very hard to prepare the campground for the 4th of July weekend. We had a great time. This was our 4th time staying at the Skowhegan/Kennebec Valley KOA and we will definitely return.

We were blessed to spend 4th of July weekend at the Skowhegan KOA. Was a hot and humid weekend. The pool was a great relief. We even got involved in some of the holiday activities. Candy bar bingo, site decorating (we win a prize), and just chatting with the other campers while relaxing. Thank you Mel and Jeff and all other KOA staff for welcoming everyone like an old friend!

Such a beautiful campground. So we'll maintained. We were only there one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. The team that works there is super friendle and helpfu. They had a great looking pool, laundry, bathhoise, playground, store, etc. Everything about this property deserves 5 stars. Stay here! You will be happy you did.

Unforeseen circumstances required us to change our reservation and extend our stay several times. Phenomenal staff worked with us graciously and assisted us in a number of small ways that allowed us to focus on what we needed to do. They had our back while we attended to matters at hand.

Noisy construction. Showers are tiny and water hits the wall, not the person in the shower. Buggy!!!! Pool sign said, “open 10 am - 8 pm”. Padlock locked on gate at 5:15 pm. Pot holes in roads. We won’t be back.

Apologies that you were not happy with our campground. The pool was closed during your stay & your husband was made aware at check-in. Construction, we do have repairs that needs to be performed throughout the season and our team only worked for a few hours.

10 stars, This Koa deserves it. This should be the flagship of all Koa's, the Grounds are impeccable, (would have my wedding here) The staff really care about your experience. We had a flat and thanks to them had a new tire the next day with local contacts. We really felt welcome and again we have traveled across the whole United States not one Koa has even came close to this one. Ty

We had a wonderful fun-packed Memorial Day weekend RV camping experience! This was our first time staying with our 4 year old daughter at this KOA and we all had a blast! The campground was a nice mix of kid activities during the day and nice quiet fireplace smores in the evening, allowing the adults to relax as well! We would stay here again.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. The Owners were extremely friendly and hospitable. The staff was very friendly and willing to lend a hand if we needed help with setting up our camper. The sites are very clean and spacious. I enjoyed the themed weekends, which had a variety of things for both children and adults. We have camped here for the past 5 years and we will definetly be coming back again next year.

We first stayed in one of the cabins and loved the place. We bought a camper and stayed the last 2 weekends. The owners are very friendly and so is the other staff. The little breakfast cafe has great food! Definitely would recommend and can't wait for next season!

Stayed for a mid September weekend at the KOA in Canaan. The owners and staff were very kind, personable people. I did not feel like they were watching our every move like babysitters. We were constantly greeted with smiles. The campground is well kept, clean, and the sites are good sized. The staff did wonderful getting us backed into our site. The site was fairly level which made setting up breeze The leaves on the trees are starting to turn this time of year, making the place even more beautiful. Much to my surprise, they are still pulling out all of the fun activities geared towards kids, including the jump pad, barrel carts, gem mining, and coin hunt. There is also a small arcade with the perfect variety of games. The playground is perfect, seems fairly new. The store was still well stocked with great merchandise at great prices. 10/10 recommend, especially if you have kids!!
